Gonna look at this from a different perspective.

It seems like this year especially has been pretty bad for us in terms of calls going against us. From my perspective, that means that we are in position for those calls to actually make a difference in the games we play in. Football especially showed that this year in the Florida, Houston, and Bama games. I think it means we may be turning the corner. Basketball maybe not so much, but we always have these calls go against us against big teams, which means we have the talent necessary to compete against some of the big teams. If we can keep talent coming to State in all sports, hopefullysoon these calls will begin to go our way once we get above being just another SEC team. Does anybody agree with this?

Good coaches will tell his team that you have to beat the opposing team and the referees... we are getting damn close.

I got physically sick every time the ref made a ******** call last night and our players just stared helplessly at the officials. We need to get pissed off over this episode and make a run. We have the talent.

Perhaps this will get our team to focus outward and stop the internal bickering.

It's pretty much MSU basketball against the world right now... everyone is crapping on us (the refs, the fricken national media, hell even our beat writer is reveling in this crap)...

You got a couple of bad calls against Houston. Bad calls did not cost State the Florida game. If you are referring to the kick return against Alabamawhere your playerstepped outon the State sideline that was the correct call. But if the official had missed it and allowed the State TD against Alabama it just means that that State would have scored a TD. Alabama would still have easilywon the game. The way you have fewer penalties in football is to have better coaching and more disciplined players.

41 quarters including the championship game which was officiated by Big East officials. Joe Pendry is theOL coach at Alabama. Check out his bio and resume and you'll understand why he's coachingat Alabama. Nick and Joe demand discipline from the playersand they get it. So do the other Alabama coaches. High expectations are achieved by superb coaching plus exceptional discipline whichresults infewer penalties than the average teams incur. Of course, it's easier to just make excuses for your team by blaming the officials or suggestingconspiracies.

This is why I was not cheering for bama during the NC game. This is some grade A sticky icky delusion of grandeur here. Next thing you know we will be hearing about how bama should leave the SEC again so the whole conference will collapse.
