The good news is that based on our performance vs Kansas, we shouldn't get any more wins other than Army and possibly Maryland/Indiana with a little luck. Either way we won't be bowling so Flood should be fired by season end. Freedom from the Flood error is just on the horizon after waiting 3 years! [banana]

I hope you're right, but the RU administration, as has been the case for years, is perfectly content with mediocrity, especially if it comes cheap.

I used to root for our opponents to do well in their other games, so a win by us would look better. Now I hope they do badly so I can think we have a shot.

Kansas is ridiculously bad and only have 62 scholarship players. They've lost more starters than us, by far. They can barely field a team. For us to win by 13 at home is pretty uneventful and it's borderline embarrassing that we couldn't score more against them.

We did have 500 yards of offense but I agree the ineptitude in general is off the charts.

Purdue lost to a Mac team due to penalties, something that killed us. As far as hoping to see us lose the rest of the season, nice going there. Hate to break it to you, Won't happen. We won't lose all our games and even if we did, Flood won't get fired. Next year, we have everyone back and a weaker schedule. Flood will get renewed. Only way to see flood fired is if your friends in the media and the haters can find some other nonsense to get everyone worked up about.

Great to see after a win someone post losses are what's needed to achieve our goal.
As for me, want a win every game this year , even if it means Flood will be coaching RU in a bowl game ( hopeful;ly a major bowl)
Do I want Flood back, NO, but don't want RU to lose either.
Don't know if losing will get rid of Kyle with the way RU hates top spend money and unlike other schools, boosters don't fund buyouts and chip in to bring in a quality replacement.
Flood's extension was funded by a booster who almost became the recruiting coordinator and I doubt he'd put in money to help buy Flood's contract out.

We lose our best OL Lumpkin, best LB Gause, best WR Carroo, RB Paul James, DL Hamilton, best DE Mera.
Are you on drugs ? We are getting destroyed next year. Flood coaching makes it all worse.

Hamilton will be back next year after redshirting this year and we have better DEs returning next year so Mera leaving is not going to be a drop off there. Paul James does not have the same power and tackling braking ability that he used to have. Hicks/Martin are better and we have some good freshmen at RB coming in also. So not a drop off at RB.

I'm an RU alum before I am a fan meaning I want what's best for the university not just the football team THIS season. IMO that is for us to go in a different direction. And I was 100% in Floods corner until this past month.

Of course I want us to win. I never root for us to lose. EVER. But I see two more wins this year. Maybe 3.

Some people are always against the current in favor of the new. Then when the new takes over, they want the old back. Or the guy on the bench is better. Or we have to get this recruit.
I keep thinking we're in Philadelphia.

Please stop the nonsense about "the haters". If you love Rutgers football, then you will want Flood and company to go. Today's totally unispiring performance against a horrible Kansas team is just the latest example of the dismal coaching
on the sideline.

Carroo is not coming back.

Let's see what Hamilton does.
We also lose LB Lewis. That's 2 of the 3 starting LBs.
Yet we have everybody coming back.

I don't give a flying F who leads the team as long as they win. The guys on the field were not uninspired. They played hard and they played hard with a ton of BS going on around them. There were a bunch of mistakes but they overcame them.
If Laviano doesn't have a great arm but the coaches play him, why blame the kid? What reason would there be to put it on him? He didn't make the decision to play himself, the coaches did. He's just doing his best. It's okay to "hate" the coaches but the players, I don't see where that helps anything.

Are you watching Maryland vs WVU? Maryland is worse than us. That basically means that we will keep Flood but UM will can Edsell.

While I would like us to win all of our games I can't disagree with OP. We will be lucky if we win 2 more this season and if Flood is back after all the crap this season and going 4-8 there will be rioting in the streets of New Brunswick.

Rioting in the streets? It's kind of hard to believe that with the empty seats at the stadium. I'm wondering if the people even know there was a game today.
