We just witnessed the best chance we'll have to win anything for a while. When you're MSU you have to take those games bc another isn't coming for more than a decade.

I agree. I'm afraid there's a landslide on the other side of Bammer.
They will bend over backwards to keep from having 2 SEC teams. Our chance was Saturday and we didn't take advantage. All the guys saying we aren't out if it were saying we'd beat Bama. They'll say we are going to win in Oxford, but I doubt it. If OM has a pulse they win the Egg at home and vice versa.
Yea, black helicopters n stuff. And I had us losing close at bama, and I still think we are top 4 if we win out. The four teams competing for the final spot right now (I'm assuming Oregon, bama, and fl st are 1-3) are us, tcu, Baylor, and ohio st (om is next by the way and has a shot). We have to win out, but if we do, our resume is objectively better than the other three. Look at the numbers. Plus our one loss is better than anybody else's one loss. Everybody just calm the heck down and direct your attention towards winning out, bc if we do that, we are in good shape.
im the eternal pessimist, but I disagree. Beat om and I have lil doubt we are in playoff. Once there, on a neutral field, we have as good as shot as anybody
If you think we'd get in over a one-loss conference champ (TCU, Baylor, OSU) you haven't been paying attention.
If the SEC gets two teams, which it won't, that means two conference champions get left out. That will not happen. Period. With a formula, maybe, but not with a committee. Our playoff was yesterday. We need Auburn to win the Iron Bowl to have a 2nd chance.
What has the committee done to make you think they will not leave two conference champions out?
They've said that winning your conference matters.
I would be be totally flabbergasted if 11-1 MSU went over 12-1 OSU. I think we are better but there will be politics played in that committee. There always are. They aren't going to want to set the precedent that winning one of the power 5 with one loss isn't good enough. Especially if the team squeezed out is not a big time name. Would love to be wrong, but I'm extremely skeptical.
Not to mention we could end up 0-1 vs committee ranked teams. A&M, LSU, OM, Aub could all be unranked come Dec. 7.
