Just ordered my season tickets online through my Dog Tag, and noticed they have my annual pledge screwed up, once again. And it's a pretty major error this time. I'm not sure what's so complicated about what I want to do ....

Not quite that bad but close. But if I were to pay the erroneous amount my priority would move from just over 1000 to most likely the top 100. I did it via telephone, so maybe they just have trouble understanding a north Alabama accent ....

Not only that, once you make the payment online via credit card, it says to print the receipt because that's the only one you'll get. There is no "printer friendly" button. So I printed anyway and it printed what I needed to order instead of what I had just ordered and paid for (that's the one that was on the screen). So I checked my email, and had one with the receipt, so I tried to print that too ... with very little luck. It printed part of it but in the smallest font I've ever seen, and still didn't print the entire thing. And I'm not exactly computer illiterate ... HailState.com seems to be totally hosed.

The auto-renew pledge really irritates me too

I love how the system just auto-pledges the same amount of donation I made last year. I fully intend to continue my support, so it's not that big of a deal. But to me, it's just a matter of principle. Why are you telling me what I'm pledging in 2013? It's my money that I'm freely giving. How about I tell you what I'm going to donate???

Am I screwed if I am a first time season ticket buyer, and I haven't ordered yet

I just checked online and it says 2013 already sold out.

//I have been sitting on my lazy *** the last few months so if it is the case, I won't argue over it.

I dont think your totally screwed but you need to get on it asap! And I do think it will take a solid BC donation to get you in. Just a guess but I'm thinking at least $1,000 to get going.

I will donate my fair share this year if it is necessary. Fortunately I am already in the top 6000 after one year. I scored some nice points off of the gator bowl tickets this past season. Should I just call the ticket office on Monday? The HailState website will not let me do anything with the sold out status.

Unless you're renewing, yes. If you're renewing you have until April 15, I think. If you don't renew before then, you give up your tickets to someone on the waiting list. If you're a first-timer, you have to be put on the waiting list and ... wait.

Absolutely. I didn't even know they were doing that. Could be that that's the source of my problem, which basically is duplication of pledge.

If it's the same pledge you made last year, i bet so

I just got an e-mail one day, saying they had automatically made a pledge to the Bulldog Club for 2013 in the same amount as I made last year. They didn't even ask me if it was ok. Just pledged it for me.

Go ahead and order tickets or get on a waiting list. They're only sold out if everyone renews. Also keep checking. They will probably put a 3-game mini-pack on sale in the early summer.

I wonder if the expansion will open up a few more season tickets this year. The lower level of the north endzone is supposed to be open this fall and it looks like it would hold more than the old student section bleachers.

I'm also curious as to what the renewal rate is. Never thought about it much, but I would guess close to 100%.

It's been mentioned previously that the HailState website is really too busy. It's not easy to do anything on that site. When money is involved it's more noticable. I think they have computer software trainees co-oping on it.

Gary, I just checked my BDC account

After you potsted, I was curious. All seems to be in order, for my account.
Hopefully. Wish I had better seats, but they suck, as does my level of donation.

But, I'm at the 5800 level out of 8,000? Surely there are more than 8K members of the BDC.
What am I missing?

Fletch ...

As of this morning, there are 8308 members. That's up some from yesterday ... was 82XX then. That's a remarkably low number relative to our alumni base but I suppose the only real personal personal advantage is to be able to buy FB season tickets, and none is available now. As the stadium gets bigger, hopefully that number will increase along with contributions.

I now know what happened to my account. The guy who mentioned auto-renew was right. So I'll call and get that cleared up tomorrow.

I think the renewal rate is pretty high depending on the seats. Most people that I know who have season tickets, will squeeze out every penny to keep them unless it is an absolute emergency to get give them up. I don't think they would go through all the trouble if their seats were not where they wanted to be.
