remind me what round Duke lost in this past season??? Why couldnt Stansbury ever be that guy to pull the upset? You're being stupid Pat..we beat a national seed to get to the Supers- AND THEN- took the number 1 team in the nation to the wire in Game 3- it wasnt like Florida beat us badly 2 straight games and showed us we didnt belong. We obviously showed we were a top 16 baseball team last June

And they weren't a national seed anyway. Florida was the national seed in our part of the bracket. I'm not bitching that we got lucky and won the regional. I'm glad. But let's be honest and admit that the Austin Peay coach deserves more credit than Cohen does for knocking GA Tech out. That's not saying Cohen didn't do a good job managing the team and the pitching staff that weekend, he did. But the fact is beating a depleted USM team, a #4 seed Austin Peay team, and a scout team pitcher for GA Tech isn't exactly the most impressive regional win I've ever seen. In fact, it's one of the least impressive. I'm still glad to get it though.</p>

The only people here dumber than you are the idiots that believe anything you say is true, and TXMudDawg or whatever his name is for allowing you to have anything to do with his little radio site. Pollard was headed to State before Stans was fired, and Hood is leaving after Stans was fired, and I don't blame either one of them. The main thing that makes me nervous now is when Stricklin has to do this coaching search all over again in a few years, although I guess it couldn't turn out any worse next time.

Georgia Tech lost at home to Austin Peay dude. How good do you think they really were last year? We got a great Regional seed because we were opposite the #1 overall seed. That's it. We almost stole a CWS bid from the #1 overall seed - why is it so hard for you to just take it and be grateful. A silver lining shows itself over a Mississippi State athletic team - finally - and you do all you can to devalue it.

I don't hear ANY Kentucky fans devaluing this last title. If you are one, I guarantee you are filling up message boards about how this title was bunk because Fab Melo and Kendall Marshall weren't playing.

All I'm doing is pointing out that he didn't really have to do much to get there. I'm glad as hell we won the regional and made a super last year. But the way we did it isn't the recipe for consistent success in the postseason. If we want to get to supers on any consistent basis at all, we've got to start winning more regular season and SEC games and getting better seeds in the tournament. Maybe even, God forbid, host a regional.

Rodney Hood's dad said he was thinking of leaving in January

Stricklin say- "Unfortunately we've known for a while the roster was going to be in the situation that it is in. You can sit there and bemoan it or get yourself up and work."

And there were rumors of him leaving the week Stansbury was fired- they were just waiting to see who we hired before making their decision final
