Not sure what that means.
Yea I've read they're going to interview Matt Wells from Utah State. Their current DC Barry Odom who also interviewed is interviewing at his past job Memphis. He was DC for Fuente before leaving to be DC of Mizzou.

I'd be very surprised if he is at Temple next year. Would be making a massive bet on himself considering the team loses so many seniors this year. He has done a phenomenal job, but will he be in as high demand a year from now if Temple goes 6-6?

Still thinks he goes to the NFL in January. Well liked there

No. 20 team playing for a berth in the Peach or Fiesta Bowl on Saturday? That's kind of relevant. Especially when their momentum safely projects into the next couple years, despite uninformed opinion.

Rhule leaving would probably impact that momentum. No?

Haha...gtfo dude. You will never, ever be as relevant as Rutgers BECAUSE we are B1G and you aren't...not to mention that academically, we are Rutgers and you are Temple. In a few years, even you will laugh at your insolent comments you just made as we will have become so superior to your crappy program and school.

I love Rutgers but you sound just like those arrogant a**holes from Penn State when they are talking to us.

Let's not forget the Syracuse fan base. Just because you sit at the table, and cooked lobsters are served, doesn't mean you know how to crack the shell.
Boy, now that was heavy! [smoke]

Pretty sure we own Temple all time, and beat them the last two times we played in recent years...including a blowout in their "home" stadium where RU fans were a majority...but hey they beat 7-5 TTFP and played ND close one year which should make their coach want to stay at a school that shares a league with Tulane and a stadium that sells out only when the opposing fans take over...

I always wonder about people who get their jollies going into other team's forums and talking trash. If it was someone actually involved in the Temple football program which has done well this season; I could understand that. Because then he'd be part of the reason his program did well this season and could justifiably take some pride in it.

But this guy is taking pride in something he had nothing to do with accomplishing. And he's expecting us to feel badly about something for which we bear no responsibility. Which I find fascinating.

There's some combination of compensation, delusion and inferiority-complex going on which would probably make for a great research paper in an abnormal psychology class.

Anyway, carry on.

mildone: oh, have a heart. He has nowhere else to go!
True enough. Why else would he be here?

I'm not without sympathy for the guy; not entirely heartless. Just pointing out that he'd make for an interesting study in personality disorders.

Temple fans should simply enjoy the season their team is having and let it go at that. The team they have in place this year won't be in place in 2016 as a result of something called graduation, and next year's won/loss record could be very different from what's currently going on..

Don't mind the Temple fans, they never recovered after our fans drowned them out in their own stadium as Gary Nova threw repeated bombs past them

Right after college I had an apartment no more than 10 minutes from the Temple campus and spent quite a bit of time there. I know exactly what Temple is.
To be fair, if this was more than five years ago, the campus and even much of the surrounding area would be unrecognizable to you today.

And how exactly does their momentum safely project into the next couple years?. In my informed opinion they lose 6 players on offense and 6 players on defense do to graduation. They are having a good season set up by having a senior laden team. Anyone losing more than half their starters next year is going to struggle. So in your uninformed opinion how are they set for the next couple of years?

I'm come in peace, but damn, I read these messages among both fan bases and wish we played an annual game. I think it would be awesome for both schools and fans.

Reason why I'm here is to clarify a few things. Whether MR interviewed or didn't interview with Mizzu isn't the big picture. It was the timing of them reaching out to him and Mizzu's AD was none other than Houston's AD in 2014. The same guy that hired Tim Herman. Kind of ironic that he pulled that stunt, perhaps in an attempt to disrupt our game plan for Saturday.

Yes, our team has 22 graduating seniors, 10 of which are significant contributors. MR and his staff have done a tremendous job of stockpiling talent that played in 2014 but we're redshirted this season. While I'm sure we will take a step back, particularly on D in 2016, I still anticipate an 8-4, possibly 9-3 type of year. That's not too shabby.

We had the perfect storm regarding attendance this year with PSU and ND both at home. Very likely will never see that arrangement again. That being said however, in our league games, we drew 35k for Tulane, 31k for UCF, 32k for Memphis and 28k for UConn. Pretty respectable numbers and if we go through with building on campus, playing to near capacity in the venue. We don't come with a history or a track record or tradition of winning so it has to start somewhere.

Good luck in 2016. I think we're all going to have fun with that upcoming 4 game series in a few seasons.

If Rhule is interviewed by RU for the HC position RU feels he can be had on the cheap and is gambling that he can handle the B1G games.
But I fear every HC candidate RU look at will have those same qualifications.

Rhule might be a good choice , but the last two Temple hot tickets cooled off when they moved up
to a higher rated school and haven't shown they were good hires
One has been fired by Miami after going 32-25 during his time there and the other posted a 3-9 record at BC after two 7-6 seasons.
No reason to expect Rhule will be different looking at his overall record at Temple

But no one can say Rhule won't be successful the way his team is playing this year.
He's a gamble like many mid major HCs that have recent success, but not constant success as a HC.

Btw, MR earned 1.2, 1.3 this season. He's going to receive a nice pay raise. Probably not at Tuberville's number, but I'd anticipate it being pretty close.

Personally, speaking, I think AG jumped the gun and Miami wasn't the right fit for him. Having to deal with the sanctions right off the bat didn't help either.

As for the Dazzler, he's a blowhard. He's a horrible gameday coach. Our previous AD bought into his nonsense. The current regime knew he was a fraud and he's proven it at BC. They did us a HUGE favor taking that fool.

Is a fair point.
I'm not a Golden fan, but Miami's Shapiro scandal and the sanctions that came from it didn't help Golden at all.
I just feel he didn't do as good of a job as he should have because he did get some good recruiting classes, even with the sanctions .

Once again:

QB Walker
RB Jahad
WR Bryant
WR Jennings
TE Thompson/Patton
LT Dawkins
RG Carter

LB Marshall
LB Alwan
DE Martin-Oguike
DE Reddick
NT Robinson
CB Chandler

All returning.

McGowan @ C for Friend
Nate L Smith @ S for Hayes
Sharif Finch @ DE for Ioannidis

All started multiple games.

Khiry Lucas and Anthony Davis, 2 potential starters in the secondary redshirting with injuries. Anthony Davis or Kareem Ali starts at CB, taking over for Tavon Young. Khiry Lucas, Jyquis Thomas, or Delvon Randall starts at S, taking over for Alex Wells.

Miami is a weird place. AG, being a Northerner, I don't think had the welcome mat laid out for him. I think he was behind the 8 ball from the beginning.

Don't get me wrong, he's a great recruiter, a lot like GS if you ask me in that I think both can sell ice and snow to an Eskimo.

But AG's game day planning and strategy leaves a lot to be desired. He and Rhule used to butt heads continuously throughout games and as you guys know for yourselves, D'Onofrio is a horrible defensive coordinator. Hire AG and D'Onofrio no doubt comes as a package deal.

And they are in Philly of all places. Blue collar Joes that waste all their row house dough on Sixers, Phillies, Flyers and Eagles. Talk about losers.
