Honest question: Is it at all possible Grayson becomes a grad student and stays an extra year? Mock drafts have him going either in the second round or not being drafted at all. Could he raise his draft stock by playing another year after getting healthy? I'm not saying he should do this, just asking if it's a crazy idea.

I agree that life is not a movie, but if art did not imitate life, it would not resonate with us would it.

Again, I said it was wrong. It was bad for him, his teammates, and Duke. The attention it/he has received is hypocritical, extremely unprofessional, and or downright pathological.

We roll as Grayson rolls. Kennard is best scorer maybe in college, Tatum is a freaking beast, but Allen is nothing short of a 6-4" bolt of lightning

Just really glad I'm the type to stick with a kid like Grayson!! Some of you should feel pretty small!!!

And also Koach, how about that Justin Jackson elbow??? You see the problem with your weak ***, gutless stance on the issue yet????

I'll just say this, if that was Grayson tonight that did that...he would have been thrown out of the game faster than you can blink an eye.

Nope I think what I think...it's ok you think different...don't like how Grayson behaves when he's playing bad...it's bad sportsmanship all around....

I think Grayson deserved a tech at UNC...I think Grayson deserved a tech for slamming the ball and yelling what he did against Clemson...I think Jackson should have got T'd up for the elbow to Frank....

Gutless would be backing off the position...again nobody is questioning Grayson when things are going well...it's not hard to be a good winner...much harder to be a good loser....

You like to call names because I have a position....don't really care what you think about it to be honest....you can disagree...but your attitude about it is very Grayson like....

Funny how I never come at anyone personally....Show and I a few times awhile back but I think we have found a pretty good respect for each other's positions....

To bad you and pisgah can't do the same....

wi# , I hope your "some of you should feel pretty small" wasn't directed at me. I don't think it was. You and a few others need to realize just because we don't like something a player does doesn't mean we don't want him to succeed. I was rooting for him to have a special game tonight and he did, in fact, I could read it on him early and even commented on it. Let's chill a bit, it's celebration time now.

Justin Jackson should not have been called for a tech. Same for Grayson. Those were both completely inadvertent elbows. This is basketball. Not cornhole.

I think it's a tech...mostly because almost all contact now above the head with an elbow is now...if Grayson's was last week then this one should be also.....if this isn't then Grayson's shouldn't have been last week....

Just curious how you know Grayson's elbow was inadvertent? I don't think it was....it could have been....but how exactly do you know his intention? It's my opinion that it wasn't....but that's all it is an opinion based on his previous history.....but you say it so matter of fact like you know what he was thinking at the moment...his track record supports my opinion much more so than yours....

Show, you and I have a different view of Grayson's discretions, but I know you are thrilled to see Grayson play the way he's played the last couple of games. I might disagree with you, but i don't question your loyalty to all things Duke.

And yeah, this is time for all Duke fans to enjoy this. I'm pumped, and I'm proud of our team.

You can support and cheer for a player and not affirm everything he does. Sometimes people think it has to be one extreme or the other. I am so freaking excited and happy for Grayson. Kid is dialed in right now and it's the perfect time.

Very valid points. I think you are discounting 2 things pertaining to Grayson. First, it is not just his bad playing, but bad playing due to injuries that he should be sitting out with, but has been taking one for the team all year combined with the disgraceful media bias and hate that is so disproportionate to his actions that has put so much pressure on him. Heck, I think part of his problem is that he cares too much-about his teammates, Duke, his family, his reputation. That is what we saw after the Elon incident. He is a good kid really trying to do his best. That is why we should have his back. I hate the stupid frustration plays too, and especially when it looks like he is pouting. But that is not something to crucify the kid for. That is where teaching and support comes in. I loved it during the game against the Cards when one of the announcers was talking about how much his teammates love him.

The second thing I think is being missed is that Grayson is a bizarre kind of "flailer" quite often once there is some kind of contact. I know that kind of sounds like BS considering how graceful and athletic he is most of the time. But watch him through contact going back to his freshman year. Heck, look at the fantastic "hustle" play he made in the NC game 2 years ago going for that loose ball and getting the steal and foul called against Wisconsin. He is all arms and elbows and desperation. The main difference is that he had a step on the other guy and the inside track to the ball. Put that same play in today's game with Duke down to UNC (before the Glorius Comeback tm) and the UNC player being a step quicker because Grayson has a bum ankle and Grayson winds up elbowing Joel Berry II in the head and the whole sports world is screaming to have Grayson drowned in the East River! I honestly think Grayson "spazzes" out sometimes.

Absolutely not Show, you bring an incredible amount of positive talk to the board, your around win or lose and you support win or lose. Your take on Grayson is a bit harsh for me, but I don't recall you giving up on him or going out if your way to not defend him. Few around here have been just as harsh and more importantly just as guillty of running a kid down as the people at ESPN, THR or RR..... and they call themselves Duke fans, that pisses me off!!!! It's always been Duke against the world since I've been around, and we're all suppose to enjoy that and embrace it!!!! I wouldn't want it ANY other way
