Great play call on the touchdown

The execution was perfect. It's very refreshing to see some creativity. That 49 yard fg would have been good from at least 55. Vandys qb is God-awful, and we kept pressure on him all night. I'm sure I'll think of more when this wears off.

We run that same play all the time. The difference between the TD and every other time is our QB finally made the right read and Vandy's defense was over-pursing Dixon. There was no magic there.

Don't get me wrong any SEC road win is a great win, glad we pulled it out but we have some serious problems at QB. Lee can not be counted on in this system if he can't run the option and so far he can't. He caused a fumble on the option because he can't seem to realize that his job is to get hit. He has to make the first man commit and THEN pitch but instead the second someone comes into his field of view he pitches the ball allowing the defense to tee off on the poor running back.

My prediction stays the same from the beginning of the year. Four wins. Dunno where we get them but we will have defensive flashes of brilliance like last night and we will have at least one game where the offense is clicking for no apparent reason.

and I agree... we ran 2 plays last night at least 20 times each, including the TD play.

Relf had the same play against Auburn that worked well.

Get Dixon on a roll and then hit them with that zone read. I don't mean just call a zone read play. I mean the QB executes it very quickly. Fake to Dixon and then sprint like your life depended on it for a huge gain or a TD.
