Glad they are dedicated to this subject meaning anything and not us.Go to the Card Authority board for this discussion. You will get an anatomy lesson. Hysterical.
Have to agree that the announcers were terrible. The deflection of Garrett Johnson was caused by early contact. Should have been defensive interference but it wasn't even mentioned. Holding on Louisville was never called and the announcers never asked for it to be called against UL but they mentioned it all the time against UK.The announcers were terrible. They argued it both ways during the game. I'm still confused as to what they were trying to say. Bottom line is the hand can touch the ground and not down the ball but if the forearm touches he's down. The forearm clearly didn't touch. As stated above if he kept running and scored a TD they wouldn't have over turned that so why would they over turn a fumble. Lamar was trying to make a bigger play than was needed. All he needed to do was go down and live to kick the FG. He tried too hard at being a hero and fumbled.
I don't care what the rule is. I thought with 100% certainty they'd overturn it. First time in my life I've seen UK get a break like that one. Whether it was a good call or not we've all seen that go the other way too many times.
