How long before they realize they need a rail up to keep the morons from sitting on and falling over the edge?

I'll speculate that rails are in the plans. Just not installed yet.

If you look at the ledge in the foreground of the pic it seems there are some type of footings or mounts you might use to install rails.

I talked to a guy yesterday who has survived a stadium fall from inadequate railing and he says there is no chance they get finished before the USM game.

My cousin's baby daddy delivers green walls all over the southeast. He says the stadium was done two weeks ago, but they're just sending out a fake webcam feed to keep everybody anticipating the season. Crazy, I know. Fire Striscklends.

Not sure. The renderings have it both ways. Here you can see that in Picture 4 under Davis Wade Exterior - Project Renderings the walls are all brick, but then on Picture 15 of that same album they have the walls with that white stone looking material. I assume it was an option to go either way and someone decided with the white walls. I'm curious what is taking them so long to finish the installation of those walls. A decent group of brick masons could have been finished the brick walls within a day or two easily. I just couldn't imagine there is any reason they would purposefully delay putting those up. Maybe they just want the exterior to be the last thing finished so its kind of like putting icing on a cake.

All of the brick work and that stone is precast and in a yard waiting installation. Yu are correct. It goes up very quickly. IMO, they have an installation date for everything and he covering of the green has finally reached its date. I bet what we can see on the site cam will be finished tomorrow.

If you zoom in those things you are talking about that are footings I think are actually rust spots from the chains that hoisted it and held the cast in place until it was set.

What we are gonna get is EIFS and not brick cast And you are correct, they are taking their sweet time. I have seen a crew do almost an entire side of a 4 story hotel in a day with the styrofoam backing that we see now. It wont take long to get it all on if they actually work a full day on it. And the finished product will look perfectly fine in the end.

I think they are moving slow just to freak out some people on here.

Looking closer this morning, i am wrong and u may be right....

The rust spots are gone and those do appear to be holes for mounting a rail or something on top of the wall. Glad to be wrong on that one.

The walls are going to be white- Strickllin tweeted that out recently. Also, seats3d.com is the final version of what the stadium will look like, which has white walls. If you want to know what it's going to look like on Aug 31st, that is it. The biggest change is that we took away the brick from those walls and decided to not do the high wall around the tailgate terrace. Look at the picture, there were originally suppose to be walls there with windows. The exterior pictures show it too, because there were suppose to be an additional window in those areas on the exterior. Interesting changes for sure- I wonder why they changed it?

I talked to a guy yesterday who

Fire strickland!

fires people for a living, kind of like that movie with George Clooney and that fire *** red head in it. He says there's no way we finish in time. He even added that he would fire people if that helped, but I told him that it probably wouldn't at this point.

I also talked to LT about this (and other things)

thanks LT.***

Here's what he had to say:
1) The Maine game really changed how Coach Croom approached our football team. That game really put Croom down a pathway of extended success and that Croom would still be coaching for MSU if he didn't like coaching RBs so much in the pros.
2) Greg Byrne kicks dogs and children for fun.
3) Green walls are the norm for the new stadiums and will be mandated by the SEC before too long.
4) The SEC Network was bad idea.
5) Will Redmond deserved a longer suspension.
6) Mentioned that reporting to Nick Saban is fun and challenging, all at the same time. Noted that Slive agreed with this.
7) Said the stadium construction won't be finished for 2015 season opener, much less 2014.
8) Coach Stansbury was the best X's and O's coach in Okitbbeha County and that he should still be our head coach.
9) Said Polk version 2 was the best version of Polk because of how he focused on the student athletes on campus, rather than recruiting. Said the man was a maestro with a typewriter, which is what set him apart in the new digital age of college athletics.
10) He finished with another note on Coach Croom and said that Jackson State, MVSU, Southern, and Grambling all came calling for him after years 2 and 3. Said we were extremely lucky to keep him. Also talked about how big of a decision it was to not hire Jimbo Fisher at the time, because it was clear that he wasn't ready for the job.

Apprently, typing eight numerical followed by closed parentheses is an emoticon for "cool". Don't ban me, it was an accident.
