Driving on a four lane and you see a driver coming up on your rear at a good rate of speed. They catch you……. And slow down riding your tail. Never make the pass. And stay there for miles. Even after me clicking down a couple mph. Infuriating
Just start running your windshield washer fluid until they turn their wipers on and then they eventually BTFO.

They are driving zombies. They caught up to another car just to aimlessly pace. Only way to really shake them is catch someone else, or exit for a leg stretch

I usually pull over and let them pass then immediately get back on the road. Safer that way and you still communicate to them what an ******* they were being .

People that have zero respect for farm equipment or 18 wheelers. Things that would turn your car into a crushed Coke can.

Also people who block a busy intersection by pulling out during a turn signal and the light turns red with them stuck out in the middle.

See, the opposite is what amazes me. Large vehicles that tailgate much smaller ones amaze me. They have to understand their braking distance is much further than the 2 door sedan in front of them.

What about right lane drivers that are going 65 and you are doing 70 on cruise control. You start to pass them and they accelerate to 71 and try to keep you in their quarter panel.
That's another issue in and of itself. I chalk it up to ******* gonna *******. Nothing better than the douche that you pass and then get back in right lane for them to get up to your driver's side quarter panel while you advance on the next vehicle in front of you.

What drives me crazy is in cities where you have 3 or 4 lanes going same direction and some idiots absolutely refuse to pass on the left. You can be in center lane and see them coming up behind you doing 90+, no cars in the left lane, and they pass you on the right and then swerve back over into center lane to pass slower cars in the right lane. Then they’ll do it again next car they come up behind. All that time the left lane is wide open.

Two postulates of highway dynamics:

1. Magnetic Principal - All vehicles are attracted to each other. Examples - a) Whether in a loney parking lot. another car will park next to you even though the lot is empty. b) A car will approach and stay close behind you (see above) c) Cars will line up in the left lane for no apparent reason even when the right lane is empty.

2. Catch them, Can't Pass them - On an open highway, you approach a vehichle on the right and even though you are using cruise control and have transversed miles of road to catch up, you can't seem to be able to make that last push to pass them. See Ranchdawg's comment.

There are many other postulates but these 2 are probably some of the strangest.

I call those people "highway remoras" like the fish that follow around sharks for a free meal. Coming back from a trip recently I passed a line of cars which had a car that was the same model as mine except it was white. Well, I guess they thought it was cool and decided to do the pass and slow down, pass and slow down maneuver for the next 15 minutes. Keep in mind i had my cruise on the whole time (old school cruise). Finally, i had enough and blasted it up to 90 for about two minutes. I guess they found someone else to bother after that.

That’s probably it. I was in South Dakota recently and had the adaptive cruise set and ran up on a car not paying attention and followed along for ten minutes before I looked down and saw that we were doing 65 instead of 85.
Why I 17ing hate adaptive cruise control. The absolute least of my worries driving is that I’m going to hit something in front of me. The blind spot warning is good (at least after I figured out how to turn off the audible warning - too many false positives), and the cross traffic warning when backing up is good. But I have zero use for adaptive cruise control.

I can’t decide if this or left lane cruisers make me more angry.

I like it just so I don't have to keep stopping and starting cruise.

If you're in the right lane accidently let your right wheels get off the pavement slightly and throw up some debris........they'll back off every time

The biggest problem with adaptive cruise control is that it doesnt let you get close enough to the car in front of you to indicate that they need to get over (if they are half a human and understand that concept).

My adaptive cruise has 3 settings for when it's activated.

Yep. And even on the most aggressive setting it invites some *** hole to pass on the right and squeeze in between you and car ahead of you.

Another traveling hate of mine. If I'm passing in the left at the same speed as the car directly in front of me, no, you don't get to squeeze in bc you aren't happy with how fast the passing is happening. If the people ahead of me aren't speeding up, you don't get to cut me off because you can't read or anticipate traffic patterns.

On mine you can adjust how close you get to a vehicle before it’s slows you down. On minimum distance you’re practicality drafting NASCAR style.
