...I know you're a Thunder fan, and that's cool. But I've seen the thunder play several times this year and there is no question that last night was the absolute best your team has. You'renot going to have additional games where Harden and your backup PG score at will like they did last night. Durant and Westbrook shot the ball extremely well, also. Defensively, your bigs played out of their mind and benefitted from the refs allowing a more physical game. You're basing your comment about them not playingas well as they could on Durant and Westbrook's numbers, which is stupid. When those guys go large, it's a bad sign becausenobody else is stepping up (see game 1). When your backup PG comes in and throws in rainmaker threes with hiseyes closed, that takes the pressure off everyone else. If you're counting on anything better than last night for the rest of this series, you're going to be sorely disappointed.
The Grizzlies went full retard last night. They failed to capitalize on the early turnover fest, and they settled for too many jump shots. Hell, almost your entire starting unit had two fouls each before the end of the first quarter and the Griz inexplicably quit working down low for the most part. The Griz committed silly turnovers and took bad shots, which is uncharacteristic of them, and that made things a lot easier for the Thunder.
This is going to be a long series. The Griz got impatient last night and you saw what happened. Your team turned up the pressure, played with high energy, and the Griz didn't respond well.
