Sorry if this has already been discussed, but how much water is necessary to declare the field ready for play? Maybe Lindgren isn't hurt badly, but it sure as heck looked like he slipped along the third base line to me, and Frazier absolutely did on the ground ball that was UF's 1st hit. There were muddy spots at short and 1st base well into the 7th inning. Surely that wasn't a plan to slow them down.

Not saying it would have changed the outcome of the game, but it was a crappy way for Lindgren to have to leave.

I didn't see it but this time of the season its more about the rye grass overseed being slick than mud usually.

They do wet down the infield more than in years past. Don't know if that had anything to do with Lindgren's injury. Maybe it is the different dirt???? which makes it look wetter???

I commented told my 2 friends before the game the field looked super wet. It looked like it had a solid rain on it.
