So did the super sweeps run him off by refusing to match fedora?

I really though he'd be kept on. Possibly Freeze just doesn't want to share any of the offensive duties. I sort of understand that but at this point you need to roll with what you got in place, if it doesn't work out then bump him next year.

Freeze knows he (brewer) is a better coach and many Rebs like him. He was an obvious threat. In two years the Rebs would've been calling for him to replace freeze

Bottom line is that Gunter felt it best for his future to move on.....it's a show of strength by Freeze.

Who will be Freeze's boss? As a State fan, I have my fingers crossed for Walker Jones! It'll be the same ole ****!

Freeze offered him a spot as QB coach. He wants grant heard as WR coach. Unc is susposedly offering a co offensive coordinator tag...

important to him because he was going to call the plays. Whoever he hires is going to be nothing more then a yes man.

He was going to take the UNC job no matter what the Bears offered him. The only way he might have stayed was if it came down to WR coach at UNC or OC at UM, and even then it was probably no better than 50-50 that he'd stay.

That's just moronic. That's what you could've said about Nutt when he refused to keep Freeze under the same circumstances back in 2007, but this was Brewer's choice to go, and I don't blame him. He was going to get a higher staff position at UNC than he would have at Ole Miss.

but given the way this is playing out, it looks like it's setting up that way.

If you read between the lines, you can tell that Wilson is a target for Freeze, and I wouldn't be surprised if they've already decided to make it happen. They just won't do anything until after the bowl game, since LSU is actually playing in a bowl game that counts.

felt a little insecure with him on the staff, and that Brewer was considered a fair haired child by many Ole Miss supporters....and Freeze won out. If Freeze fails and Brewer gets more experience, he may be their next HC. Of course, this is all speculation, but as good as anybody's speculation.
