Seen the footage of the game and I must say this is the best GW team I've ever seen. O line could use some work, but this is a solid team. To hang in there against that stud Vance team the way they did, says a lot about the way Anderson has molded this program. They won't play an opponent as good as Vance until December and that's if they make it that far. With all due respect to Navy Jones whose a tremendous talent, GW has a player in CJ Graves who is just as talented and is going to take GW a long way this season.
Yeah, after seeing Vance get mentioned a few weeks ago, I looked them up. Great team.
Vance is the #2 team in the Charlotte Observer's Sweet 16 poll only behind nationally ranked Mallard Creek who is ranked #8 in America. I'm very proud of GW and I hope this game and the games to come prepares them for the big boys in Salem, JF, Sherando, etc. This is a totally different team that lost to Salem last November.
