- Duke fans seem to think Capel is the guy who will take over. As a UK fan, I liked that answer.

- Of course, Indiana could beat Wichita. BUT Wichie has them on D and the sidelines, IMO.

- Kansas has basically become one of those "Bomb 3s and be indifferent toward D" teams. Sometimes it works.

- Not sure I saw Anth's "A" game in Nashville. Understandable considering he was accompanied by Preggers Magee.

- Just met the folks for a fish sambo at Frisch's, now ballgames for a bit and one of my best buds is coming to town from Cleveland for a night of sports bars, GAMBOL and gawking at waitresses and bartenders. Nice lil Friday for dad.

Good. I hope that's EXACTLY what they do.

Don't you dare call yourself "Dad." That's like a white guy using the N word. Just because we can say it, doesn't mean you can. Show some touching respect.

* Speaking of fried fish, just tried Wendy's Cod sambo. Solid.

Hitting up the big fish fry at St. Columban tonight (where I got married for those of you lucky enough to have attended). Psyched up about it, really.

* All of my buried UC hate is awakening and boiling to the surface. Touch those ********.

* Another reason to root against IU today is to keep Clappy from having too much momentum when he takes over Bama in a few weeks. Plus we don't want Billy D. to have to deal with unreasonable expectations in Bloomington.

* Derek Willis really can feed the post with the best of 'em. BBdK was way out in front of that one.

* A question for all the doctors on here… is it medically possible to have hair transplanted from inside your nose to the top of your head? That **** grows with bad intentions.

I didn't think that could possibly be accurate, but I looked it up and indeed, it was 1995.
No effing way.

Good grief. Time flies.

The whole "family" aspect is awesome, and ideally you want an "insider" to take over your program, but it seems like more often than not it leads to a bad decision. Look at Kentucky's track record, where our 3 best coaches -- Rupp, Pitino, Calipari, had basically NO ties to the school. Turned out okay.

Of course, just imagine how good they'd have done if they "knew what kentucky basketball was all about."

if we are gonna talk about Pitino & pictures, this one yesterday from their open scrimmage....

Clearly a coach in love with his team & where they are at this time of year!

- i love that tommy amaker is killing it at harvard. thats so cool, and especially odd since he bombed at michigan

- re: 73's sentimental post about his uncle (aside -- ive met that guy, and 73s dad. they are the quintenssential blue collar-type old school lunatic uk fans, and i mean that in a very respectful way) --> i very much admire some of the hardcore uk fan families of friends (73, killa, bbdk, wcc, richie, etc). also very envious. my family has no ties to uk, other than me and my brother going there. cant imagine being "groomed" from birth.

Can anybody tell me how those jackass Mengua Brothers can charge $33 per pound for their whack *** jerky, as opposed to say, steak dinners (with all the trimmings) at Jeff Ruby's which "only" range from around $46 to $75 per pound?

Same with these new Kentucky Proud beer cheese jokers. I can get caviar flown in for what they charge.

Worst beef jerky in the world, TS.

Can't believe you haven't talked about how much you hated Ira yet.

I posted about Ira yesterday, on page 2 or 3. I loved that dude. And his brother Harold. They are/were two of the best guys you could ever know, and the exact opposite of their brother (who wouldn't even speak to them for the 10+ years I knew them).

TRUTH.

I ignored the quarterly 7 day countdown to change every password I have (18 appointed companies plus general log in) knowing today was the D-Day. Got wrapped up in the hoops hysteria and forgot to do that yesterday. Spent an hour this morning going company by company having to answer security questions, updating profiles, etc.

Complete kick in the balls

Bingham played 2 or 3 "softer" songs in his first 4 or 5, then everything after that was ear-splitting, foot tapping, rock. Only needed a little touch of something psychotropic and it would've been a perfect show. For as unique as his voice is, the dude has his own style on the axe.

Lucero = same opinion as you. I don't hate them, but I ain't rushing out to buy their stuff anytime soon. Their fans are great, though. Knew every lyric, were up dancing around, etc.

honestly though Lucero would be opening for him, and they should have. Bingham stole the show.

*taft theater is such a great venue. Might go back for Cory Branan. You'd like him, I think. Also definitely going to see wilco in May.

Are we going to have one good game today? This is ridiculos. Good job, SEC! Georgia basically has just been firing balls at the backboard all game.

^ some very good songs. CRAZY voice on that lead singer. That dude sure loves his cigs/booze/coke. Just didn't sound good at all live.

* Bingham is the newest entrant into my lassie's Top 5, ifyounomsayin.

People are going to view the SEC's performance as reflecting poorly on UK. What those people fail to understand is that UK never sees "these" SEC teams.

Assuming it builds some enthusiasm for Tom Crean and helps him keep his job a couple more years, I'm rooting for IU today. Don't really feel bad saying it, either.

Belmont has come out swinging. That's a weird matchup for Virginia. They try to force perimeter shots ... and Belmont will be more than happy to take them.

Bonus points if he spanks the #1 (realistic, but best imo) candidate for his job.

If they beat a 7-seed today, who do you think should write a book about it? Bozich? Forde? Walter Isaacson? David Mccullough? Ron Chernow??

I get as tired of all the regular coach speak and cliches from players as much as anyone. On the other hand, I'm kind of surprised by the comments from UofL's stellar front line about Mamadou Ndiaye:

*His conditioning is not up to our pace

*His condition is not nowhere near where ours is

*We know he's not that agile

*We'll move the ball quickly so he can't stay with us.

*All of our bigs, we're definitely quicker than him. We're in better shape than him. We move better than him. In my mind, all he's got over us is the height.

It won't matter, but you'd expect to see more neutral/vanilla comments than basically saying he sucks compared to UofL's NBA frontline. Mathiang and Onuaku talking ****. Ha.

Come on Anteaters. Picked them in all 3 pools I'm in and bet them +8.5 today. Pull this out. Refs are raping them though,

I honestly want no part of Cincy. Not that I think they can beat us. But those guys are thugs, and insane. Yesterday one of those clowns tried to break a dude's wind pipe for no reason at all. They way Towns and Johnson bang, could see a fight starting and or them just deciding they are gonna hurt some people. Basically more worried about injuries and suspension from fighting than anything.

We handled the cheapshots from Arky fine, but tough not to react if Cincy straight decks you.

Looking like a no upset day in the tournament. Seems like those happen every year when there is a day like yesterday.

So Louisville tries to intentionally foul and the refs don't call it. OF. COURSE.
