Anyone do the gym on their lunch break? I've started trying because I'm a 5 minute walk from the Y but it seems like even with it being that close an hour is pushing it. I only get in about a 30 minute workout and then have to rush in the shower and getting ready to make it back in a reasonable time.

As a 33 year old "successful" white man I honestly don't worry about routine traffic stops. In fact, sometimes I'd welcome them just for the opportunity to get smart with a cop.

I'm not expressing guilt or deriding white privilege or anything, but I get that's a pretty unique perspective in 2015 America.

Some nice black gentleman told me at the gas pump that "Sheeeeit, it's hotter than a mug out here" [laughing]

I agreed with him, then tried to remember the last time I heard "mug" used in that context. Been awhile.

[laughing] "Like a mug" used to be my favorite simile back in high school, early college. You can use it with anything.

"Mug" confused me more than anything when I first moved to NC from suburban Chicago. We had one mixed family (none my age) in the suburb I grew up in, and a couple Bulls/Bears players...that was the extent of my integration with black people.

My first day at school in NC, it was 40% black in my school, due to the busing laws. Picking up the language was difficult, I had absolutely no idea what "mug," "trifling," etc. meant or why they were saying it. Pre-Urban Dictionary days mind you, I guess I finally caught on, as the next year I wore a lime green Fubu shirt on the first day of 8th grade.

Do like my Hip Hop (mainly of the older variety) and actually enjoy some of Drake's stuff.

That being said, Wodie the only professional white man over the age of 35 that knows the in depth details of the beef btw Drake and Meek Mill.

I've tried but I find it difficult. Like you, the Y is 5 minutes away but it doesn't feel like you have a lot of time to get a workout in. I have found it is better to take a late lunch if possible and go at 1:00. It thins out by then and you don't have to wait on anyone.

I work out at lunch, but I have a gym in my building and can take as much time as I want (depending on my work load).

Feel like I am closing the gap on what will ultimately be looked back on as my "best years". Turned 27 a few months back.

UK was a blast, but 25-27 have just been crush years. Still crush the bar scene but in a slightly more responsible way, traveling to Gulf Shores, Costa Rica, and Belize to round out the year with a random group of peeps, and the last girl I waxed was a 21 year old Kappa Delta.

Post college has been better than college. Girls are touching magnets to anybody 25-32 who actually have their **** together, have earned income >$24,500 per year, and go to the gym. It's that simple really.

I realize most of you are probably outside that window, but I am sure there are plenty of stories.

This. I thought it would be tougher after college but its the exact opposite.

I stopped going out every weekend at 25 due to the hangovers but thanks to tinder its not really necessary anymore.

Rampant front tag confusion on NKY FB tonight; a lot of things being called into question.

Even my social-crusading wide made a rousing post about the countless front-plateless cars she saw driving freely around UC today - INCLUDING HERS.

Imagine it. A cute white woman, in a new mom-mobile, with a car seat, driving freely without the front KY tag that doesn't even exist in the first place.

Unconquered? Unfair.

She has twenty likes so far. And even after I politely commented that KY doesn't require front tags. A friend of hers (also in KY) chimed in: "Mine too."

-I loved all 4 years of college but Senior year and those 2 years after were just the best. Didn't have Tinder but I had Pheonix Hill Wednesday nights and Atmosphere... then 4th st. Worked pretty damn well. Shew.

-Even for me Today was too much. Thankfully that humidity is out of the forecast. Mid-80's and no rain for the next week. That's what I'm talking about. Went for a ride with MCF and it was miserable.

-Don't know the specifics but I don't get killing animals like Elephant, Tiger, Lions, Giraffe, Bears(unless its for survival). Not sure where to draw the line... I don't feel that way about all animals but just seems like a dick move to shoot a lion(regardless of how it went down.)

-Sounds like recruiting is crushing it. Need to back this up on the field. Running 21 MPH and jumping high is great but it's bowl or bust this year. Need 1 good home win. Something like Brooks UGA/LSU win. Not talking about a down USC team. Also I'm sick of the Mizzou ********. Time to put those ******** below us. USC, Mizzou and Vandy. Need to keep them below us. UT/UGA is a different level.

- @ Cincy. What a freaking hell hole.

-Before or after work for my exercise. I just can't get into those mid day workouts.

Agree with Anth, I'm not cool with shooting lions (my spirit animal.) I get if they are killing people or destroying livestock, just seems cowardly to me to boast and make a trophy about taking down an apex predator with a crossbow or rifle. Maybe if you fought it with a spear or sword and had a legit chance of being mauled...but luring a big male lion out of a game preserve by dragging an animal carcus and shooting it once it crosses the property line...shameful.

Totally fine with hunting other typical "prey" animals for harvest and population control.

If you're not going to eat it, don't kill it unless it's a danger to you. It's really that simple. My father was an avid hunter, but everything he killed was eaten either by us or given to someone. I just don't get killing an animal like a lion, particularly if you have to cheat and lure an animal out of a game preserve by "feeding" it.

Another member of team Midday workout. like Willy it only works for me since there is a workout room in our office building. 25 min elliptical, 15 min strength 5 days a week. Down 65 lbs since Jan 5th. Since I've gotten lighter I have mixed in a 3 mile jog around the neighborhood some evenings/weekends the last couple months.

Gonna be doing 100 milers by next summer, or nah?

can't wait to listen to today's Czabe and his take on the conclusion of deflategate. #ThisLeague #MurraySucks

touch schools with their "supply lists". 2 dozen pencils, and they have to be sharpened also? get pumped.

Yeah, I usually don't pay much attention to these types of sensationalized stories, but this lion thing really pisses me off. What a POS. Then, he cuts off its head as a trophy? His life is pretty much over, nice work.

-Heading home after work, too bad it's not Cabin night with the boys tho. #Eli

-BacktoBack #Drizzy

-Dre dropping an album associated with the NWA project...? Per Cube, it's all new music, produced entirely by the Dr.

It's mega. It's Dr. Dre, it's what everybody's been waiting for," Ice Cube said. o_O

Trying to stay calm here...won't be Detox, but will be the first entirely Dre-produced album in 16 years (which is complete ********, but whatever).

* Only thing worse than nostrils clearing guy is "talk loudly on the cell phone while taking a dump" guy. Show some respect. For me, for the person you're talking to, and for society in general. (And not to paint with too broad a brush here, but the folks that do this tend to not be white.)

* Heard Cal on the ESPN podcast. [laughing] at him justifying moving Poythress to the 4. "Well, when he first got here, all the guys in the NBA his size were playing the 3, so we played him at the 3. Because it was what was best for him. Now, what's happened in the NBA? All the guys his size are playing the what? The 4. That's right. Some are even playing the 5. So, because it's what's best for him, we're playing him at the what? The 4. Even though it may not be best for our team, it's what's best for Alex and his family." Dude, just say he's a natural 4, not a 3, and that he doesn't need to be forced to play the 3 this season because of the personnel on the team. Good Lord. Not everything is a sales pitch to 5 star players. I'm pretty sure they aren't listening to an Andy Katz/Seth Greenberg podcast anyway.

That dead lion has gotten more media attention and has generated more outrage from privileged white Americans than any humanitarian crisis in Africa this decade. Poaching that lion doesn't crack the top 100 of awful **** being done by humans in Africa. I bet the vast majority of Africans couldn't give two fks about that lion.

I'll submit noise-making & plastic water-bottle chugging/squeezing steam-room guy. Supposed to be a place to relax & unwind after a workout, plus every sound in there is magnified x1000. And if you bother trying to talk or bring a wet magazine/newspaper in there, diaf.

The worst is naked guy. Just walks around the locker room naked, talks to people naked, drys his hair, plucks his nose hair, or shaves butt naked. Towel in hand or laid on the bench somewhere...

I hate the guy who blows *** like its his own home. When im next to you or in the bathroom please refrain from diarrhea explosions every few seconds. It's almost like some people try to be loud. Im the complete opposite and will even throw in a courteous flush and a flush to keep the noise down.

I see both sides of the hunting story....

Managed hunting has helped increase herd numbers everywhere it's been implemented. Lions for instance, an older dominate male will rule a pride past its ability to breed and keep younger lions from mating with the females. Culling that lion from the pride will increase the number of offspring in the future so that is a good thing.

The problem with this story is that Cecil was not past breeding age, and he was poached illegally.

That said, I personally have no reason to kill a lion. I don't plan on eating cat meat anytime soon, and while I'm sure it makes a cool mount I wouldn't want it in my house. I'm fine with going to the Natural History Museum every few years and seeing one. Until mountain lions (or panthers/cougars/leapords... M-I-right Rob?) make their comeback in KY through managed hunting and preservation programs, and then start killing my livestock I won't be shooting any.

The major issue is he had a name. So more people who really dont even give a damn will latch on to the public outcry. If it was a random lion hunted in the same way (which likely happens every week in Africa), it probably goes unnoticed.

Thankfully Rob killed that snake in the woods near his cabin. When you spend good money building a vacation residence in an animal's natural habitat, it's your right, nay, it's your responsibility to go into said habitat and seek out those creatures to kill for recreation.

Rob pretending to be a REAL country/outdoorsman/hunter is the biggest Farce in GYERO, TS.

Always has been.

He's pretty much just like that dentist, only he hasn't killed a lion yet & didn't start his own business. Sure he's pretty money at pay-lakes & sponsored/guided "hunting" trips tho.
