So Gyero lawyers, what's the deal with garbage pickers? I've noticed when I was downtown and out here in the burbs, people will go through your trash. And I'm not really cool with that. Granted I shred my documents that contain personal info, but it seems like that's still an invasion of privacy. The herby is sitting on my curb, not in a dumpster. Is it trespassing? Granted I'm not gonna come out guns blazing, but is there any recourse for this?

I didn't actually think that this was a thing, but at 2:30 this morning I heard a vehicle outside while I happened to be up with the baby and someone was taking our garbage. The guy knew exactly when to come because this happened about 3 hours before the garbage truck made its weekly run.

So yeah, be careful what you put in your garbage because you never know if a weirdo is going through it.

- How much did the first day of school SUCK in grade school? It was awful. Just depressing. The first day in high school was okay. First day in college was awesome- in the midst of a week-long party, buzz in the air, lassies errwhere, football opener coming up...

- "The Agent" will be a solid watch, but it can't touch "Hard Knocks" which is as consistently awesome as a show can be.

- Caught the Chris Farley doc and it was really good but really sad.

- Love that Calipari story. Especially love that it was about that weasel Cronin.

- That Cal story shows that deep down he's one of us. He's so comfortable being the coach here ( how many coaches would be? This play is a monster that eats coaches up) that he gets to show his true colors.

The man has more fun being the coach here than anyone since Rupp.

- This weather, tho. Bright blue skies, sunny, warm but no humidity... TITS.

- If he's as good at dialing up plays as I think he will be.. Gonna have a football crush on Dawson. Dude has some Mumme in him. Cocky. Full of swagger. Good one liners with the media. Sounds like his attitude is rubbing off on the players.

- Did a three-peat this past weekend for my sister's wedding weekend.. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. SHEW. Was dragging on Monday and yesterday. If I can handle that then I'll be prime for night games at Commonwealth.

- In the mode now where I watch the SEC Network every night for football camp updates. PAUL.

- Anyone going to UK-UNC Alumni Game? I've hit a few of these exhibition games through the years, and don't knock people who enjoy them, but they do absolutely nothing for me. I'd rather watch the Tour de France.

- What about the remarkable ability of your girlfriend/wife's friends to date guys you have absolutely no interest in hanging out with? What would you say it is- maybe 25% you're cool hanging out with on occasion? Maybe 10% you would actually consider a dude who could be a real friend of yours? About accurate? It's not that these fellas are awful necessarily, it's just I've got nothing for them.

-WCC is full of awful takes this morning.

*Love my wives friends. They're my best buds these days. Love the guys and gals they date as well. Of course I don't hate relationships so that helps.
*Might attend the Alumni, pretty good time at the other ones and NBA preseason stuff. Nothing else going on, beer served at Rupp, etc.
*1st day of School was always awesome. Brand new kicks, meet up with all the old pals, teachers weren't ready to be back so took at least a week to actually do anything, check out which babes were getting boobs, bravado of being a grade older.

Try harder.

Excellent/new take

I'd say around 5% that I'm okay hanging with on occasion, And 0% that I want to be actual friends with.

Our crew situation is different, we were already a crew before you Anthony, so naturally group of similar caliber dudes with the same general interests. Plus, Jaime was basically a dude in college and had cool dude friends. As usual, using her in comparisons about women is pretty much pointless

Every one of my wife's friends is a weirdo. Either they're super religious, turbo nerdy, teetotalers, old, redneck, something. All of them. Drives me insane. Thanks for posting that chad, I'm on board.

I'm fine with most of my wife's people and their husbands- they are mostly Alabama fraternity guys who drink beer and watch college sports. Some are online over at the bama message boards as we speak so we get along aight. There is one other guy that most of them absolutely hate (his name is Adrian, oddly enough) so they really overlook their potential disdain for me.

My wife is always outspoken about how much she enjoys my friends though- we dont get back near enough, but she's always got along well with my friends and their wives.

Team WCC

can't stand any "couples" event or an occasion where the husband/bf of my wife's friends is present. generally all of them are boring or annoying.

And for several years she tries to force you to like them/go on trips etc. False. As a parent, we have a limited amount of free time. The last thing I wanna do is use it spending time with a douchebag trying to tell me how great he is at xyz or the pootie chaser every second he is away from his wife. Feel bad for all the dudes who had to meet UKO.

Rack Chad.

5% would be an accurate number. I've never become friends with any of them and liked a handful of them...no matter how forced some of the encounters are.

90% of the time the conversation ends in an awkward silence with both of us walking away in different directions.

The worst was when I was smoking, you'd be stuck one on one with the friend/friend's boyfriend for 5 minutes of awful small talk knowing that neither of you couldn't give a **** less about each other.

Not that I'd expect an Hvac heir to understand the grammatical difference between plural and possessive, but do you have another wife?

Actually like most of the lass's crew. Few weird ones, but they usually hang out in big groups so it's not awkward.

Always liked back to school too, once you got over that summer was over.

My wife went out and made a bunch of new friends when we moved back and it was awful.

She did this knowing full well that we planned on having a kid after a year, after which, I stressed, we would never see these people again. None of them even lived in Kentucky, let alone our neighborhood (and eventual school system).

I'm talking 25 year old "dog park" friends for brunch dates. They were all nice people, but just in different phases of life and I had no interest in going to dinner with them four times before I never saw them again.

Now things are settling down, she is picking up with wives of my friends from growing up or work friends, as it should be.

- Not talking about my girl's FRIENDS (who I pretty much like). I'm talking about their boyfriends. And I'm not saying I hate these people, just that it's rare to find one you'd actually be boys with. This isn't a new phenomenon or directed toward the current either. I've found this with every girl I've dated. Thought it was a common take.

- If I lived in Lexington, I may feel differently. It's not worth the drive, that's for sure. I just don't like exhibition basketball. Doesn't matter who's involved. I can barely stomach the McD AA Game.

- I hung out with my pals all summer, so going back sucked.

On the flip side, I've had some great "best friend for a night" scenarios at a couple of my wife's friends weddings.

That is always really fun to develop enough rapport with a guy (who also knows nobody there) that by the end of the night, you can freely lambaste your wives' collective driving/navigating home from the backseat like a Bushwhackers tag-team of snide commentary (while hammered).

(My wife was driving in the wrong direction in downtown Toronto and the CN Tower was a pretty easy point of reference to determine this.)

"Hey man, next time I'm in Victoria, BC, I'll look you up!"

It's odd as I usually am pretty open to new buddies. My group of friends is fairly diverse. I consider myself a dude's dude for the most part.

Out of all the husbands/boyfriends I've met so far with the lass, I'd say I could see myself possibly becoming real friends with one of them.

- While we're at it, I also lose a little respect for men who take their wive's friend group as their primary crew. It's not that I completely expect them to take their husband's group- I'm cool with 50-50, nut if you look at the guys you know who do take their wive's crew, they are universally the most HENPECK you know.

- I honestly don't know what has happened to Anth. Somewhere along the way, he lost touch with the common GYEROer. Forgot what it was like to be a normal male.

And for the millionth time- Wodie Sloot, a chick who has counted F'ing PTI and BBdK as some of her best friends for 15 years- is NOT a typical female. You got lucky. Be more self-aware.

Jesus, Anth. Adrian is a human being.

That was over the line and a waaaaaay too personal of an attack. We all like to have fun on here and sling barbs back and forth, but damn...

Adrian, call me if you need to talk, buddy.

Like the other halves of my wives' friends. Louisville is a big/small town and we pretty much run around with one big group with interchangeable folks.

Enjoy meeting new people. Always have. Other than SAE I didn't know a soul on here until post college and now have made new friends and contacts with many of you. WILDCAT FRIENDS FOR LIFE.
