They're indicating his weight loss should help with that this season.

Yep. I think the hesitation is a product of him being a true freshman, and being a step slow. Lost 20lbs and cut his body fat % in half...one of his biggest assets in high school was hitting the hole with a head of steam. It's going to be such a luxury to have a bruiser to bring in at the end of games when the defense is gassed.

We've got to get Timmons catching punts properly, he will be a Cobb like punt returner if we can get him comfortable back there. Nothing quite like a big return to get the momentum going. Wouldn't mind seeing a guy like Badet back there as well but Timmons has the shiftiness, vision, and pure speed to really be a difference maker back there.

Jabari Johnson is a veteran that's getting overlooked. He's not going to get 10+ sacks but he will set the edge against the run as well as anyone we've got(and do it consistently). He was a bit pudgy last year if he's made the type of body transformation we've seen with the other guys then watch out.

OL has *got* to stay healthy. Talented but not deep, they were bad last year but when you return the majority of your line it's going to be way better the second time around.

I would like us to use Towles to run 3-5 times a game, he's too effective not to. Let him tuck it when it's wide open, and we're looking at stealing a few first downs a game. After the first one they'll have to bring someone up or assign a spy which will open up the rest of the field.

Boom, Badet, and Timmons are all guys that can break one any time they touch the ball. How long has it been since we've had 3 legit home run hitters? Locke and Cobb were close. Little/Burton/Johnson were all good but they were all 4.5/4.6 and could be caught from behind.

I expect to see a lot more interceptions this year, our top 4 int leaders will be back. Stamps is a ball hawk and has added good weight, same for Forrest. Seems like a couple of these freshman will come in and have opportunities..

Stamps - 6
Forrest - 4
McWilson - 3
Tiller - 2

5 guys with one or two, should put us over 20 for the year which is a fair number to expect with this bunch.

All things considered it seems like everyone is excited and for good reason...

I'd prefer our slow white QB only run to avoid getting sacked.

I do not want him running unless the field is *wide* open and he can get down or out of bounds easily after getting the first. He's not Russell Wilson but he's definitely not slow.

Maxwell Smith/Morgan Newton/Mike Hartline = Slow.

So Gyero lawyers, what's the deal with garbage pickers? I've noticed when I was downtown and out here in the burbs, people will go through your trash. And I'm not really cool with that. Granted I shred my documents that contain personal info, but it seems like that's still an invasion of privacy. The herby is sitting on my curb, not in a dumpster. Is it trespassing? Granted I'm not gonna come out guns blazing, but is there any recourse for this?

If it's on the curb, it's likely on the right-of-way and not your property. And since it's garbage you've literally tossed to the curb, you have no expectation of privacy in it (it's abandoned). Police do "trash pulls" all the time in order to get PC for a search warrant.

They announced Lockbox the new restaurant at the Lex 21c. Instantly the best restaurant in Lexington. Stoked. Hard to state how average the food in this city is.

“100% true, John confronts this guy in Vegas, because he heard the guy was yapping. He confronts him. Cal approaches the coach and says something like ‘Listen, I know what you’ve been saying’

‘No, I haven’t been saying–‘

‘I know you did, I know you said what you said. I’ve heard it from enough people, but I want you to understand one thing. Yes I am the type of guy who can come in at the last minute and take any player I want from you. You can spend your whole life recruiting a kid and at the end of the day, if I want him, I’ll get him. If we want him, we’ll get him. Don’t ever get that confused. Be appreciative every time I don’t come in and get your guy. Don’t accuse me of cheating when I do.

‘I didn’t say–‘

‘Yes you did say that. And it’s fine, but just understand, nothing stupid went on. It’s just that I’m me, and we’re Kentucky and we can come in and get that kid whenever we want.”

Left field guess but my hunch is Fran McCaffery and Iowa when we came in and yanked Tyler Ulis. Really the only one in the last three years that fits that bill. Those folks were absolutely butthurt and don't participate in big boy recruiting typically.

I know he rarely stops talking, and is generally saying the same thing over and over again, but unless something drastic changes, the only thing that disappoints me about John Calipari is all those years he was a coach and wasn't at Kentucky... and that at some point, he'll leave. There's never going to be anybody more perfect for this job.

Easily best steak in Lex(that I didn't cook).

After Puerto Rico got blasted by 45 in the Pan Am games two weeks go CRP stated that his Louisville team would be PR by 20.

[laughing]

Jesus I was at a sports bar last night and they actually had a stream of the game on. Louisville's front court will be one of the worst amongst power conference schools. Hell the one clown shoots underhanded free throws :flush:

The two transfer kids are ok players but their bench and front court is beyond bad.

CRP is already throwing around the rebuilding word which will almost certainly infuriate Bird fans

My boy RU4UOFL is pumping out the sunshine. All over Damion Lee's nuts. Isn't that Puerto Rico team the same scrubs we beat in the Bahamas last year by 25 and almost 40?
