once we get an accurate qb, several surehanded receivers, a new playbook, a couple versatile pass catching backs, and an entirely new offensive scheme, the AIR RAID will be quite a deadly weapon. imo.

Before being more enraged than I was Saturday Night errrrr Sunday Morning I looked at the revised traffic map just to make sure that I had not missed anything. But apparently they felt the need to not follow it after the Florida game. Seems to me it was UK Police and not Fayette County at fault.

I think Towles has spooked Dawson. You cannot be that inaccurate a passer in an air raid system.

How the hell could he know? We haven't run anything even remotely resembling the Air Raid yet. Have you seen us attempt more than a handful of short passes in any game yet?

Last year Towles ran too much. This year he isn't running enough. He has the arm strength, but it is kind of like Boat's drives. Who cares how far you can hit it if they aren't on target?

He should be good enough to win, but he has to play better and he needs help from his OL and WRs and they just haven't been giving it to him. The play calling has left quite a bit to be desired too, but who knows how much of that is because an OL or 2 missed an assignment?

I don't have a lot of hope that Barker will be any better. He is Stoops' recruit and was the face of that first class and still can't see the field. But he is going to have to get a chance if the offense is as impotent vs Mizzou as it has been the last 6 qtrs.

* Swindell is my least favorite UK player ever.

It go so bad they completely shut down Alumni to Nicholasville and started funneling everyone to Tates Creek. WUT? Nicholasville Road was a huge laugher. Round-a-bouts were the least of the problems. The biggest road artery from #theNewCWS simply didn't work. Not encouraging.

Monday Shorts:

- Nothing wrong with wearing ear buds. As usual, BBdK's opinion is stupid.

- One of my buddies has one of those HUGE screen cell phones so we watched the game on that at the wedding. God bless technology.

- Wedding was fun. The groom is my youngest good buddy- only 27- so it felt like I was watching my little brother get married. Got drunk. Grabbed a Bearnos (have always liked their pizza) after and went back to the hotel.

- So, Baker's dropped two "in the numbers" TD passes this year. One of the more underrated skills for a receiver is actually catching the ball.

- Sorry, but Towles is turrible. As I said last week, I don't understand the hype at all.

- I think we're finding out, much like last year, that South Carolina just isn't very good.

- Of course, Mizzou has looked pedestrian this year so we need to get that win.

- [laughing] @ Aaron Rodgers mocking Russ Wilson by thanking God for the win yesterday. That dude seems like the coolest superstar around.

- Is there a worse dog breed than Min Pins? Constantly yapping. Looking like they want to attack anything that crosses their path.

- I don't know who's worse these days- the trash getting into fights or the losers who film the fights and put them on Youtube.

Thought we'd see some funkier stuff with our offense, really. Jet sweeps, screens, wheel routes with the TE, quick slants. Not sure power running out of the shotgun is going to be a consistent option for us. Also, DEs are crashing inside like crazy on those zone read handoffs. If Towles doesn't start keeping some of those, it's only going to get worse. I wonder if letting him keep it is even an option.

-I am completely oblivious to the world of podcasts. I mean, don't even know where they come from or who makes them. Total blindspot for me. Podcasts.

-Felt the same offness before the game. Also saw Towles wearing cowboy boots at the Catwalk and knew then we might be in trouble. WTF?

-Got the little one this weekend all by myself. Actually looking forward to it. Really plan on breaking a lot of Mom's rules... pizza for dinner, movies, popsicles, sleeping in mom and dad's bed... the works.

Really only put 7 of those on the defense too.

As bad as the line played, Towles missed a good number of open throws that would have made the difference. Never recovered from Baker's drop imo. Dude just gets all spastic when things get tight, etc. Hate to say it but he's showing some Andy Dalton* tendencies.



* pre this year Andy Dalton, who has clearly turned the corner and is a shoo in for league MVP this year, not to mention a Super Bowl championship.

I don't think that's the case. What has hurt subscription sites like this one, which are driven by recruiting information, is Twitter. Now fans can just follow the recruit directly and interact with recruiting experts for free on that medium.
