21 & 13 and Alex still gets abused. He is the stepchild of the basketballs in here no doubt. WTF ? Willis over AP ? Uh we would really be touched if that happened. Alex is inconsistent, but not GD one out of every 6 games. I do believe Willis got a chance in the first 5-6 games, and didn't do **** with it. Matthews WILL be solid, but nope, he should not take AP's minutes nor should Willis. Marcus Lee and AP have to be in there, and a pretty stupid take with the "their is a reason they are upper classmen here." Yeah there was a GD reason Steph Curry was at Davidson. Its called development, not everyone is one and done. Some of you will need to turn your "college basketball" credentials in when this movie is over. Need to be grading cheesedick box office movies and not judging college basketball talent.

MKG and KAT played on the East Coast in the Philly/NJ/NYC area under some really damn good coaches. Of course they're going to be further along. Great observation.

Really think the UofL game is 50/50 (at best), but I've come to enjoy the fact that it pisses them off immeasurably how Cal gives the team off around Christmas before smacking them. I mean, they've never been more offended.

***THE GOOD***

We scored 88 points, shot 55% from the field and 70% from the line.

We owned the glass.

Our 3 bigs combined to shoot 17-23 from the field and 8-8 from the line.

With the exception of AP launching 2 bricks, the right people were taking 3's (Murray, Ulis, Willis).

We had 18 assists, led by Ulis with 8 (and only 2 TOs).

We held EKU over 20 its below their scoring avg and almost 20% below what they normally shoot from deep. We also only allowed them 18 looks from 3pt land.

We had 9 blocks.

***THE BAD***

We allowed EKU to drive to the basket at will.

We turned the ball over 17 times.

Ice cold from 3 again, 4-19. Passed up good open looks and settled for contested 3's when we didn't need to.

Only 3 steals.

Only turned EKU over 13 times.

Labissiere only managed 4 boards.

We just seemed out of sync.

Lost a lot of 50/50 balls.

Only shot 6 more FTs than EKU.

*****

We weren't nearly as aggressive as I hoped we'd be. We came out of the gate strong and then seemed to relax.

The defense was very frustrating to me. The stats weren't horrible, but failed to tell tell the true story, IMO. EKU got around our guards at will and then our bigs would leave their feet and get out of position every single time.

Skal, Poythress, Lee and Willis should have to drop do 25 pushups every time they leave their feet. It drives me crazy. Force them to make a contested shot.

Murray is the most out of sync out there, right now. He simply tries to do too much way too often.

Skal is thinking way too much, isn't aggressive enough and is completely lost at times.

But I still like my team.

The next few Saturdays will tell us a lot, but I'm still pretty confident we will be where we need to me in late February and March.

man alive what I wouldn't give for the wildcat to run out to the floor during shoot around and just start raining threes like cats and dogs. Crowd starts buzzing. "Look at wildcat that cat can really stroke the long ball !" Kids start hooting when the wildcat does the reloading motion with his arm after another made bucket. Now the adults are taking notice. He's made 9 in a row. He steps out to the U and bombs one. Swish. Nothing but net. Now the faithful are in a frenzy. Just as it reaches a fever pitch the wildcat slowly removes his head. You guessed it. It's Devon Booker. He's smiling. The women have lost it. He pulls of the suit and is wearing the blue and white number 1 jersey. The last remaining conscious women faint. Coach cal struts to mid court and hands him his NBA contract. Devin hollers to the crowd, "BBN! What should I do with this?!!!" The crowd in unison bellows "burn that motherf*cker!"
Devin grins and wads up the contract. He shoots into a waste basket held by cal. Together they torch it. Mark Emmetts face shows up on the jumbo screen. "I HEREBY DECLARE DECIN BOOKER ELIGIBLE!'

Because it underlines what horrible person they have as head coach who every year schedules games immediately before Xmas, and keeps his entire team in town practicing the 24th & 25th to prep for UK (unsuccessfully 7 times out of 8)

Have you ever seen Rick Pitino and Krampus in the same room together? I didn't think so.

Surely this bunch won't be the 2nd team to lose to UL and the only one at home since Cal's been here. I mean the only team to lose to them was an NIT team and you don't want to be a team under Cal on that list.

Been pretty out in front of this being "the year." Not looking forward to it, frankly.

The refs are doing "better" with the block/charge call and enforcing the two hands stuff. Also the coaches not being able to call TO's and reducing them to 4 is AWESOME. That **** bothered me more than anything with the current rules.

- How many times has BBdK knocked it out to Koenig's voice already this morning?

- Times like these make me wish I was a calm "big picture" optimistic like @assistbyhawkins.

- Honey crisp apples...

- Kansas, North Carolina, Sparty- they should be ahead of the Dukes and Kentuckys at this point. Those are veteran teams. Hell, Kansas and UNC returned just about everyone. Hopefully, we can make up the deficit come March...in the same way Duke made it up with us last year. I don't think we have that far to go to get to their level.

- BIG GAME Sundy for the Bengals. Hope we get the brooms out.

- Boat is the Chase/Indy of Facebook- constantly asking questions.

- Don't know why but I love women rocking tights under a skirt/dress more than bare leg. :fire:

- Wynyard's an interesting late arrival. Daniels claimed he'd be Top 50 in the '15 class. Curious if he can give us anything.

I've cut way back on that. You guys are generally too stupid to give good answers.

I'll tell you who is an underrated question asker. Of all people, BBdK. Watch him closely, that dick will ask questions all the time, yet be the first in line to ***** about someone asking questions.

That guy has a lot of nerve.

Per this douchebag, the NCAA allows coaches to be paid but not athletes because the coaches are adults.

Even though I probably agree with the argument ethically and morally, I'll tell you who I can't muster the GAFedness to stand up for...

COLLEGE athletes who getting an education, getting any girl on campus, getting more perks than a CEO and are IN F'ING COLLEGE. I can't stomach feeling sorry for college students, let alone athletes.

Agree up to the point that schools are getting a multi million dollar ROI (TV, ticket, apparel, etc. money vs. cost of attendance) AND put all of these ridiculous restrictions on the student athlete.

Ya, he's unreal.

Has some "show" coming up in Nashville, some kind of talent search deal. So, he's been dropping Freestyles almost every night for a week or two in preparation.
