He needs to sell any tickets he can't use but no way give those seats up. That's 2 generations of seats to be short sighted about because it's difficult now.

-I don't own a gun, but I do keep a baseball bat next to my bed in case someone tries to break in and pitch a no-hitter.

-UNLV....wash, rinse, repeat. Until Dave Rice is no longer the coach, they'll always be a program that is barely a hint of what they COULD be. There's no reason, in that conference, why they can't win 25 a year and be ranked. But he is basically White Johnny Jones. Ridiculous.

On the other hand....Lil' Bob Hurley goes on the road against a decent opponent and wins without one of their top two players. And does it with a team that actually had a PLAN on offense and was willing to do the little things that Vegas wasn't. Guy won't be at ASU long.

-Office Christmas party today. Thankful that two of my kids' school activities are allowing me to leave early and escape this nightmare.

-Never cared if a county was wet, or if alcohol was sold on Sunday. Other pastors get fired up about it, but I've never thought it was a big deal, frankly.

I've been selling half of mine for a couple of years now. It's tough with kids.

* Worked until midnight again last night. Shew wee.

* NYC mañana. [smoke]

* Carlos & Johnny for a company Christmas lunch here in a few. Awesomeness.

* Plan to clean the aquarium, clean the living room carpet, make a few meals in advance for the kids, finish a little bathroom wall touchup (just need to sand & paint now) and pack before we leave the house at 6am tomorrow.:cool2:

wcc has it right. Growing up sucks.

I didn't pass on state dock because it was dry, it was another hour each way. I always plan and stock up anyway.

Really don't care what y'all choose to do in your own homes. I've said my peace. Much the same as smoking is bad for you. Light up your krispies...just don't be surprised when the cancer night stalker has its way with you and your family.

- What stupid MFers like Dan Shaughnessy don't get it this- even if Calipari wasn't on the up-and-up at UMass (and I believe his side of the story), the reason the school and the greater region still appreciate him is because he took UMass to heights they had never been or will never get back to. Cal didn't leave a great place in ruins. He gave a marginal place it's one shining moment- however fleeting. At least for 10 years, UMass was a great college basketball program.

Considering that Carrot turd covers two of the biggest cheaters in pro sports, the Redsox (steroids) and the Pat (Spygate, Deflategate, and a bunch of **** we don't even though about), the hypocrisy is overwhelming.

Well the point that your missing is that alcohol is also a drug and responsible for more broken families than meth, therefore making it worse. (Actual argument I've seen)

So not owning a gun = smoking now and you essentially are asking for cancer/murder?

Jesus that's a stupid take. From a doctor no less. AMA is now touting the NRA?

I don't really give a **** about the gun/non gun argument, but that's just lunacy.

Went and got a bdubs tall Miller lite buzz just last week. Played golf and the three of us went to play some golden tee and have wings and beer.

Nostalgic indeed.

Interesting take from Chamblee, i had always heard him say Jack was the best ever when they discussed it for years. I would be interested to know why he has changed his opinion.

“Longevity sanctifies an idea, a career, a relationship, a government,” Chamblee said. “In that regard, Jack Nicklaus’ career was so long – won major championships over 24 years, spanned three generations – but Tiger Woods dominated in a way that had never been done before, and will never be done again. So I think, at least in my estimation, that you’d have to give the edge to Tiger Woods as the greatest player of all time.”

By the way, if you are truly worried about your safety enough to carry a gun around, wouldn't you want to dissuade others from carrying guns? So you have the upper hand? What if in that parking spot ridiculousness, the other guy had a gun as well? Cause GUNS! Bob either not here to tell the story, or likely telling it in jail.

Kinda like how I feel about Precheck (terrible program). I don't want anyone else signing up for that ****. Precheck line was worse than the non precheck line flying out of Newark this week. In summary, precheck sucks, don't anyone do it.

My secretary is a late 50-something who is a gun nut and motorcycle enthusiast. She and her husband are always packing on their motorcycle trips. She was so excited last Christmas because she had found a special concealed shoulder holster that also had pockets for 3 extra clips and that her husband would love it because when they go on vacation he could easily carry extra clips of ammo. I asked her if they were spending Christmas at Nakatomi Plaza because in what world is that first clip not going to be enough ammo? Her answer was "you never know".

I'm not anti-gun, I don't own one and I know a lot of responsible gun owners and I support their right to do so, but it is frightening that there are people who are anticipating a shootout because the first 2 or 3 shots might not be enough.

I'm saying I've said my peace about both. Make your own choices, be prepared to deal with the potential repercussions.

I speak from a position of knowledge on this - an alarm system/gun doesn't do you much good if you leave your front door unlocked in the middle of the night/early morning.

Per cops I'm friends with "if you get in a situation where you are looking for a second clip, you've got bigger and more pressing issues anyway". Most likely those situations include you shooting for fun and not wanting to reload your clip because that's a pain in the ***, you bleeding out, you being in a war zone, you being the sole survivor in a zombie/alien invasion scenario, you starring in Fallout 5: Flyover Country!, etc., etc.

Noone ever went broke selling to paranoia though.

--During the wet/dry, Applebees vs. Jesus kerfuffle in my town, I never once heard anyone say, "You know, Applebee's kinda sucks."

--Who knew that Applebees would turn out to be Satan personified?

--We went wet; still no Applebees.

--I'd say 90% of working households around here have a firearm in the home. It's just part of the culture. The only thing keeping non-working households from having guns is that they're either too poor to buy one or they've already pawned it for drug money.

--You learn growing up/living in E. Ky. that most people likely have a gun in the house or truck or whatever, so that's always in the back of your mind when you're out and about, especially up in the hills and hollers.

wildcatadam might be the biggest lightweight on this entire thread. some hilljack approaches him mid day at a speedway and asks for some change, and that pantywaist is so traumatized 6 years later he's still packing heat 24-7.

i could probably scratch my monitor over your post and my fingers would smell like rotten fish. what a *****.

im not convinced dawson and his playcalling directly were the problem.

his poor relationship with stoops
prima donnas
failure to play up to expectations
poor execution
lack of focus/strategy
staff losing control of locker room

i won't miss him, but this doesn't seem to me to be a huge catalyst for change.
