Been on unlimited data with ATT since the first iPhone, it was a requirement back then, now because of lawsuits that i had nothing to do with, I get that "grandfathered" in to my plan when I upgrade every two years.
Once in a while, I do get a text msg from ATT stating that I have reached my "10gb limit of peak optimized speed" and that future speeds may be slower then normal, lol.

how do you know how much data you use? i may set a world record. i pretty much have pandora, iheartradio, and/or the interweb running as long as im awake.
I use the myATT app. I'm sure you can check it on your actual phone, but I'm not sure it resets monthly.
Unlimited is apparently only for a limited time, so I'd jump on it if you're considering it. Once you're in, you're in, but I'd be kind of pissed if I missed it and wanted it.
