Grrr. What a year to miss the Gorge. Last night DMB covered:

Pirate Looks at 40 for Buffet
The Weight for Robbie
Pearl Jam’s Just Breathe for both

Perfect example this weekend of my frustration with this Cubs team. We went 2-2 against a team despite out scoring them 24-12 on the series.

Also why the run differential stat is a bit overrated despite meaning as meaningful as it seems.

It's probably impossible, but I would *love* to play the Buffs in a bowl game. Stoops v Prime... ⚡⚡.

Taking the game with the usual early season grain of salt. Stay healthy and keep dialing it in.

Picking 15 ATS is not easy or for the feint of heart. Been hooked to DEATH all weekend. Liberty and UCLA were killers.

I’ll be shocked if the Buffs don’t land a top 20 recruiting class.

His boys, Hunter and Horn Jr will get all the spotlight but the other boys aren’t terrible either.

Labor Day gang! Heading to Louisville to visit with my buddy and his two boys for a pool day. Doesn’t get much better. Enjoy the day!

We averaged 7 yards per play yesterday, which would have been good for third in all of P5 college football last year (@Kennedy_UK).

Bad take.
Um, if Barion Brown is our most dynamic player, how many touches does he have?

Too many throws way downfield. Wasteful.
1 throw to TEs.

My take is correct. EAD respectfully.

* On Liam’s return… “Probably some pressure on him trying to do too much in his first game back. Just like the players wanting to do well the first time out there” - Mark Stoops, probably or literally.

Leary is fine, but if you remember, a couple of months ago someone on here posted his highlight video from NC St. and I said at the time; my main take away was that he had some really great WR's that made some fantastic acrobatic catches. IOW, Leary is not super accurate on deep throws. He just isn't.
He's poised though, and makes enough throws for us to be a really nice team this year, but he's not Woodson, who was probably the best deep route passer any of us have seen at UK.

If you think NC State had better receivers than Barion Brown and Dane Key I don’t know what to tell you. Other than stop being stupid.

Agreed, the silver trim is mostly vague, but needed. I don’t hate it at all.

I remember in the 90s pre Nike when we tried to throw Gold into the color scheme. Point being, it could be much worse.

Key definitely has nfl potential and I never saw Clown say NCST has better receivers. It’s game one, we looked bored, who cares? If Leary is like this in the next two we can talk.

The Hamptons randos/observations:

-There is rich and there is filthy rich and wealthy - the Hamptons are the latter - never really seen anything like it. The women were so attractive it was dizzying - I’m talking 10/10 European hot.

-Average cost of a cocktail, be it a generic rum and coke or vodka tonic - 22 bucks.

-we stopped in the Hamptons for drinks and a light lunch on way to Montauk (had the lump crab cocktail of course) and then stopped by a winery called wolferrs or some such. Was sipping a nice Chardonnay and looked over beside me and who do you think I saw with a smokin hot Latina wearing a skimpy white tshirt with no bra? Yup, you guessed it: Dave Portnoy

-The battle of the vehicles was impressive. It seemed one of the low key things was how many spokes you could fit on your rims. The Maybach SUVs won - seemed you could barely fit a piece of paper in between them. Did you know Lamborghini makes an SUV as well? I do now! Seeing young 30 something couple after young 30 something couple hop out of their Lamborghini SUVs with 2 toddlers in hand was an interesting sight.

-The “I’m feeling lucky manager special” with Dollar rent a car netted me a sweet 2018 white Hyundai Tucson with a nice aux cord attachment for my iPod. It was actually pretty entertaining driving it around and seeing the look of disappointment on the mandatory valets faces at every restaurant

-Favorite meal was a tie between Duryeas lobster roll (just unbelievable) or Sel Roses fettuccine and clams, however I have to admit I’m a complete sucker for that dish anyway but having fresh high quality seafood for me, especially living in the middle of Ohio, is my absolute favorite thing.

-Most indulgent food item I saw: actually a brunch item - the lobster Benedict with 6oz of caviar for a reasonable 750 dollars.

-Favorite oysters were actually from Canada, with a fancy name like beyolbase or some crap. Small and crisp which is how I prefer. The others were fresh from Peeka point I think it was called. I prefer these northeast oysters over pacific or gulf ones which are much more meaty and briney. Bluepoints are usually my go to and these were very similar

-Seemed the two main real estate companies are Douglas Elliman and Corcoran. Walking by the listing in the windows looked like Corcoran came out ahead with a nice ocean front property for a cool 56 million while Douglas Elliman could only scrounge up a 6 bedroom 44.5 million dollar dump.

-Tons of people exercising and being active early in the morning - the rich - they practice good habits! Favorite, however was a woman who was in a Segway looking thing - but it was an elliptical. Like not a bike, she was working out on a moving elliptical on the side of the road, it was like 10 feet tall. Never seen anything like it - can’t imagine how much that contraption cost.

-It seems the wealthy aren’t into huge name brand labels. Lots of tailored outfits with no labels made from great fabrics.

-I guess it might seem obvious in retrospect but having my wife around 1500 dollar bottles of rose, caviar, oysters, Bugattis, lobster, Cartier jewelry, Hermes handbags, and yachts turned her into a horny raving lunatic. I’m pretty sure I could’ve had sex with her at the dinner table of our restaurant last night. Made for a great weekend of course but maybe a little concerning? I’ll take what I can get.

-All in all a very cool and amazing part of the country. Not sure I’ll be able to swing it again anytime soon but amazing to see how the other half lives. Was definitely like Martha’s Vineyard on steroids.

If you think that that is what I said, then ummmmm, I'm not the stupid one here. I said on deep balls, that I watched on Leary's highlight tape, the WR did the heavy lifting. The other stuff/prattle, well, I don't know where that came from, but it has nothing to do with my point.

If anyone is looking for some rare UK gear in size XL Beisner’s wife is unloading it all in a Facebook mom’s group.

My wife asked if there was a Beisner with UK Basketball because someone was selling a bunch of unworn UK gear that looked like coaches stuff. 30 minutes later Cal announced officially he’s leaving. Not that deep.

Was Venables the secret to Clemson’s success?

Does Venables recruit QB's and run the offense? Because this game is 100% about mistakes on offense and turnovers.

Defense doesn't look great for Clemson but giving up 21 in the fashion they have isn't unheard of especially against a QB projected to go in the 1st on the other side of the ball.
