Big Marlins fan here - I have a partial season ticket package. Marlins have tons of injuries but still somehow have managed to come up big in close games time and again. Fun team to watch. Got screwed by the Mets ground crew in that series which had field totally unprepared. But, anyway, I believe (hope) Marlins will clinch this weekend in Pittsburgh and not have to go back to Queens.
There is no such thing as a “big Marlins fan”, good try though you almost had me.

Hope much does a Marlins ticket package cost? Probably about like MY (AL and because I’ve lived there, 2nd team) Rays.

“Give us $300 and you get unlimited popcorn and Candy along with 8 tickets to every game all season!!!!!”

Funny. Better to be a Marlins fan than a Key West High School baseball fan, which you bragged about incessantly for years.

I’m just teasing bud, I’m a Cubs fan, the Marlins have had better success.

And I love my Conchs man, those dudes are good and the only sports within 3 hours of the island.

Well, Reggie Wright Jr is out there stating Keefe D will be indicted in the next few weeks. It’s thought that the new detective for Vegas PD has rattled enough cages and has enough YouTube interviews that they know they can get a conviction now.

It sounds like that isn’t enough and they want Keefe D to roll over again and testify that he was hired for murder.

About 3 weeks ago I posted about it so I’m not surprised. Can’t wait to hear the next bomb1st interview.

Reggie has them police connections and gets it.

Sounds like Keefe D thought he had full immunity before admitting everything he was guilty of, but he apparently did not.

The last interview Reggie did he mentioned do not be surprised if Keefe is indicted if they try to get him to roll over on Puff Daddy.

That would absolutely blow 27 years later if all this comes out. Should have easily been handled years ago!

I havent really decided who I’m rooting for in the Ryder Cup yet. Still gotta figure out everyone’s political beliefs first, then I’ll pick a team.

- goddamned animal chewed a hole through the screen of my sunroom last night and ate all the dog food. Dogs had to eat microwaved bratwursts this morning. They weren’t upset by this development.

- I really cherish sitting outside this time of year with the sounds of night summer still surrounding me. Tree frogs, whippoorwills, other creatures that make sounds at night (i.e., insects looking to f**k), etc. They will all be dead soon.

- off the shelf bourbon just sucks anymore. Thin and astringent. Picked up a fifth of four roses single barrel today for the first time in forever. It’s an absolute shell of its former self. Hot and bodiless. And a lot more expensive. I may just start huffing industrial grade glues again.

- it’s the eve of October, and there has been nary a word of our basketball team spoke in Gyero in….months? Maybe John has finally and completely broken us all. Or maybe we’ll finally put a good year together? Or, maybe I’ll finally get to stick my thick eight in Kate Upton’s *******? Probably about the same chances.

- Planted a red oak sapling after work today. Oak trees embody all that is good with this world.

- this past Monday morning, walking down the steps of my city-owned parking deck to work, a human being had clearly sprayed diarrhea all over a landing of the stairwell. Someone subsequently put some of that puke stuff like the school janitor has over it to cover it up. Five days later, it’s still there, all soaked up, pinkish brown, and just moldering. #Scuzington. What a piece of **** city.

- Play me the songs about a ramblin' man
Put old Jim Beam in my hand
Cause you know I still love to get drunk
And hear country sounds.
But don't you play, "Your Cheatin' Heart"
Cause that'll tear me all apart
And I'll get whiskey bent and hell bound.

Yeah, old Hank's songs
Always make me feel low down.

-Totally remember OF being like, “we’re living tonight boys.” in college. It was like $30-40 a bottle.

Actually made some money and took a night off the ET. Blew a lot back then like we all did.

Very interesting that I would’ve never gotten into vodka or tequila if I never left KY.

-Heading to see Segura in like 3 minutes.

OF 100
OF Rye 100
WT 101
EW 100

All remain fantastic, unchanged, and cheap af. Most available in large bottles for your everyday drinking needs.

I will grant you, that is true as to the OF. I should have caveated my statement as to them. The bonded remains a great value and is genuinely good. The 1920 is a very good bourbon, period.

You’re off base on the Turkey, however. I grew up drinking that stuff (because it was my dads daily drinker and there was always a handle around). When it was 8yo stated it was great. It’s just not good anymore. Has gotten a lot worse, gradually over the years, since the age statement was taken off, which has been a while. I blame the Japs. I find it pretty much undrinkable these days.

EW bonded is still fine. Much better than current turkey. Their recent price hike kind of wipes out the aura, however. It’s fine.

With all this said, everyone’s mileage will vary. Drink what you like. I’m just pretty unamused with the current state of things. Unless the Japs put a used panties vending machine in my local liquor barn.
