- "SNL" is appointment viewing this Saturday for the first time in _______???? Can't wait to see Bargatze in that setting. Speaking of which, he's coming to Cincy on January 13th and coming to Rupp on May 10th. Amazing how he's blown up.

- Lexington is becoming a great town for comedy. Gaffigan, Chappelle, and now Nate at Rupp. Comedy off Broadway just had Segura. And Lexington Opera House has really turned up its game...Mark Normand, Ari Shaffir, Ryan Hamilton, and others. You used to have to go to Louisville or Cincinnati to see the A-listers...not anymore.

- John Smoltz is an elite MLB analyst, IMO. I didn't even know who the PBP guy was until I looked it up....Joe Davis. Had no clue, but he sets up the scene nicely, so I have no complaints. Still can't watch the pre/post game shows on Fox, though. Too much ARod and Papi.

- Please let it be the Phillies.

Why at a funeral? The deceased literally couldn’t care less. Wear board shorts and flops to mine and dump me in the ocean while listening to dirty heads, cheersing and laughing please.

I literally don’t even own a sports coat that fits anymore and don’t plan on buying one any time soon. Definitely don’t own a suit. Different strokes I reckon.

Because you’re paying respect to the deceased you’re honoring. There’s a time and place for everything. Sorry we can’t wear stretch performance gear to EVERYTHING.

It’s not too much to ask to look like a grown man for a wedding and or a funeral. It’s a special occasion. Throw on a suit and or sport coat & tie. You’ll have plenty of time to lounge around in sweats and a tee. I think I’m about done with our slob *** society in general.

At least Cal tucked in his shirt yesterday at the tip off luncheon and didn’t wear some corny UNTUCKIT shirt. That’s a start.

Brandon Pfaadt is also a Kentucky Baseball Club alumni, iirc. Pretty cool. Still rooting for Phillies v Rangers tho. Harper v Garcia is appointment viewing imo

Had no idea who Bargatze was until a couple of years ago when some friends of ours told me he was my doppelgänger. So I checked him out and became a fan. Have gotten bargatze comments from strangers probably 20x since then. I’m fatter than he is now, but I can see it. Big dumb eyes.

Really have the itch to start my own construction biz. Have had it for years, but I’m not getting any younger. Who should I vote for to help me with this goal?

-rule of thumb: with D you get more public spending (public schools, government housing etc)...private money spends more freely with R.

^hospital work is constant...that said, current interest rates are slowing down non UK hospital projects at an alarming clip.

The business I’m in now does a lot of commercial work and I can attest to a slow down. Fortunately we’ve stayed busy but mostly smaller scale projects than we used to do. But honestly I’d like to start a residential construction company, at least for starters. Interest rates are kinda concerning tho.

Careful, foreclosures on everything is up. Cash up front for any business, if possible. The rich will get richer because they can pay cash up front for property.

Always dress for the occasion. Nephew's wedding, uncles from other side of the family have the ability to dress up but elected not to. Looked like slobs.

Be nice if it rained Saturday and it just slowed the game down.

For a guy to do the minimum, all you need is a pair of of slacks (can even be tan denim), a white or blue shirt, a coat, and a tie. It's so freaking simple.

For a woman, it's a skirt / blouse or dress. The idea that it's hard is f'ing stupid.

Aren't they the same age?
In years probably, in maturity probably two decades difference….
I want a buddy cop movie with Richie and Rogue where eventually they come together and Richie shows him how to do things like shave the old fashioned way and tie a Windsor knot and becomes the father figure he so desperately needed growing up.
Well my dad wasn’t really around so I’d appreciate the help lol.

I wear slacks, button up, tie to those events, no sports coat. I reckon the deceased will forgive me, if not, what they gonna do?

- Residential is so hard to jump into because buyers want experience so you start with spec homes. Investing into land first is iffy right now apparently as all the builders I work with legit are stalling on buying anything and developers are bringing in builders they previously haven’t considered in their neighborhoods for years.

- About to build a house myself to downsize, but my wife man, downsize being the goal envisions an upgrade from our 1 acre, 7 bedroom 4 bath 4500 SQ FT house with a 40’ pool.

It’s led to several “don’t talk to me for a few days” arguments so I time the conversations for Thursday to get me through the weekend at least.

- Pretty hype for NBA tonight. Even the kids are asking to stay up late to watch some of the Golden State game.

- State Inspection is scheduled to finalize my rectifiers license for the distillery.

Engineers totally redesigning the stillhouse so we can rearrange the equipment before finalizing the order.

Attorney is dotting I’s and crossing T’s to file amendments immediately once the inspection is done to add barrel warehouses and the Stillhouse.

The guys at Jackson Purchase about to start cooking my 500 barrel order and have us down during that week to see the process.

- GYERO back from California yet? Looked like a blast!

-We're back and having a helluva time concentrating on anything other than why I don't live on westward facing ridge overlooking wine country.

-Wodie can do the snack down but it was f*cking ridiculous including a large group dinner in the Gavin Newsom boardroom at French Laundry. If we didn't get the door shut for being too loud, old boy must have been getting after it.

-Chalked up one of my biggest victories as a husband last week. FOR MONTHS I've been telling WS that 2 days of tastings/tours and party bus is PLENTY. She vehemently disagreed. Welp... 1 by 1 throughout the week folks started to bail on the final day of tours. Then, the morning of the 3rd day, WS bailed, leaving her 2 girls to go alone. Monumental moment for old Anth. Was the pep in my step I need to push through a solid hangie.

-People still wear t-shirt cloth masks(mostly overweight white women). Lol. Good lord.

-BBDK insisted I watch The Bear, he just knows me. Binged on my 10 hours of travel yesterday. Love it. Rich is an all time character.

-Youngest is 3 today. Really gotta get him closer to 4. He's trending closer to my personality and that's not a good thing.

-Rule of thumb is to always throw a coat on for a wedding or funeral. Rather be overdressed. Last week I wore slacks and a polo... but the funeral was in Shepherdsville.

-Tired and disgusting. Never looked forward so much to boring *** chicken and broccoli for lunch.

LeBron and Joker will both score 20+ tonight, right? DK’s has a +100 boost on it. Seems too easy or is that just how Vegas makes so much money?

Man I love a good gyro (no GYERO). As Guy Fierri says I could eat good tzatziki on a flip flop. Freshly thin sliced cucumbers on it puts one over the top.

Spending the weekend at Wranglers campground in the LBL. Nothing but horses everywhere. I hate horses, in fact I’m pretty much afraid of them. Don’t trust those beasts at all. Throw in no tv and spotty cell service and I’m fairly certain that I will have found my version of hell. But the little lass wants us there for some Halloween parade she is in so what I’m I to do. I picked a bad year to quit drinking.

Well fall lasted 72 hours here and now its back to 85 degrees outside which is fine, whatever but I just wanted soup szn to continue. Gonna be a great day getting sunburned this weekend rummaging through a dying pumpkin patch full of rotted gourds.

I've added a "good tailor" to my list of "Good People to Know" right up there with a good mechanic and good handyman.

Heading to Cashiers in a few weeks for some fishing, golf, fire pits, etc. Small group getaway which normally isnt my thing but pretty excited about this one.

Was jealous of all of the pics from wine country- I dont know **** about wine and dont really even drink it but the scenery/experience looked pretty amazing.

Last Friday morning I got an early email from HR basically demanding I come meet with them that day. I was working out of town so I had to reschedule it for yesterday- and the only thing they would tell me was that it was a confidential matter and needed to be discussed in person. So all weekend I had no idea what the issue was. Kept wondering what it was... I hadnt been an ******* to a subordinate and I havent had a relationship with a student since 2010 (who I later married, btw)... turns out all the fuss was bc someone called an HR hotline accusing a colleague/friend of mine of nepotism bc the university hired a relative of his in another department. Much ado about nothing and kind of pissed me off- but they called in like 15 people to discuss his character and **** like that.

The Bear has been discussed a lot in GYERO and Anth shouldve watched it months ago.

I could care less about Michigan cheating. I wish we were (more).

Guess i'm in on the DBacks tonight in a game I dont really care about- but i'll pull for the Bellarmine product getting the ball in game 7.

-If I had a sport coat that fit I would wear it, but gaining #30 of muscle in KW over ten years I don’t have one and not buying one, the dead and newlyweds can get over it or not invite me. I honestly don’t care either way.

-Gym, haircut, pedi, orchid nursery, solid little “me” day over here. Snagging a job tomorrow so might as well get it in.

Clark, how you taking the news about the Shivley O'Charley's abruptly closing?

If they can't make it that location, they're toast. Had many pre-HS Dance dates at that place.

Christ almighty. Hate to see it. That place was part of the Holy Trinity of Dixie Hwy restaurants along with Chi Chi's and Mr. Gatti's.

A sad day, but those people are resilient. I'm sure another much-needed Dollar Tree or a check cashing place will slide right in.

So Clark was a south ender too?

I was at Sanders Elementary and Conway Middle from 89-92. Did a lot of reminiscing last month as we buried my sister in the cemetery behind the old Bacons.

O’Charleys has closed every location in Louisville over the past few years and it’s because they tried having premium prices for Applebees grade menu.

It will probably be an El Nopal soon.

- I finally moved into my home October 13th. Moving with 3 children from one house to another on a random school weekend was something else, oof. This past weekend we were at my SIL’s wedding in WVa (the groom and best man got into a fist fight to round out the night), and I’m going to California Thursday so it’s been insanely hard to get settled in. Never really been so busy in my life.

-Our house is on a very nice, private wooded lot. I love not having many neighbors. God the majority are the worst.

-Hated The Bear. Kept watching because everyone kept jizzing all over it but I found it stressful and depressing. Bunch of miserable ******** calling each other chef constantly. Switched to winning time and never looked back.

-The hell was up with Winning Times ending? It just….ended. Very disappointing, seemed like someone in power got pissed and dropped the hammer on it.

-Nice 75 today, I’ll take it. The fall is just beautiful right now. Feel like Gene Hackman in the Birdcage.
