Once again our freshman, while definitely showing how good they can be, acted like freshman. The last possession of the 1st half was a perfect example. Rob tried to do a little too much in the 2nd, Reed cooled off and DJ & Justin never got going. Just a meltdown in the 2nd half and I guess we can debate why that happened.
I’m usually a ***** about cal but I’m not really mad at this one. Disappointed, sure. But I gave them zero chance and they were right there. Kentucky is clearly missing some pieces but honestly looked like the better team for 25 minutes of the game. Biggest takeaway is that for the first time in about 6 years it was fun again. My boys stayed up and watched the game with me. We had a blast. Lots to be optimistic about imo. I’ll stop bitching for a while I guess. Bill self is gay
