Bilas can be annoying but he's right about Cal being happy to not have to coach effort. This is a roll the ball out team.

Wow. I mean, I worship everything about this group & how they play.

Absolutely beautiful basketball. We create good shot basically 90% of the time. With ease. We’ll lose games, but we’re gonna score & compete with anyone. And it will be fun.

I can’t believe it, tbh. If you don’t enjoy this team with everything you have until March, you’re just hopeless & miserable. Never even thought this kind of ball was possible here. Wtf

Cal acts/looks like a different guy right now. Rupp felt electric at times. It feels like we are on the verge of truly being back.

Reed Sheppard’s jersey will hang in the rafters if he stays two/three years. He is different than anything I can remember at his age.

When you put players like Tre, Reed and Adou with players as talented as Rob/ DJ/Justin/Bradshaw it’s a recipe for #9.

Line them up. We are about to go on a roll.

- Honestly feel that without the dumb second half lineups, we do this to Kansas.

- I’m not mad at Cal. I’m appreciative.

- Shep needs 32 mpg. He’s the most exquisite basketball player I’ve seen here since Mashburn. A joy to watch- makes them all better.

- And my gawd, I feel bad putting Dillingham in the corner with my Shep love. Because I love that dude. Love everything about him even his crazy ****. Lightning in a bottle. Can’t guard him in a phone booth. Quicker than a hiccup. All those. Kid can shoot too. He’s Cal’s biggest success in awhile. Kid needed Cal.

- Thiero got a little Mu in him. Such a smart aggressive ballplayer. Love the tip backs. That’s going to win us one this year.

- Maybe the best thing about Shep/Dilly is that Reeves can just be in his own little world getting 20 on threes and floaters. Just off on his own getting dem buckets.

- That Shep-Dilly chemistry is different stylistically but similar molecularly to that Anderson-Mercer chemistry.

- Edwards reminds me of a Daniels/Miller/Perkins hybrid. Good to see him making progress.

- Mitchell is just smart. Rarely makes a dumb defensive decision. Is playing bull MFers. And always starts slow offensively then comes through late. “Oh Tre, don’t worry about him. He’ll knock down a few by the 38 minute mark.”

- Team has a little Bombinos in it. A little 2003 with the interior passing. A little 2017 with the combination of nuclear and quicks.

- Easy to think of Big Shep as old until I recall he was on campus when I was partying regularly on Aylesford.

- Certainly Reed is leading the country in BOTH 3-point shooting and steals, right?

- I like Wagner quite a bit, as long as Shep and Dillingham are getting as many minutes (should be more).

- It’s fun man. I love early season college basketball. Always have. But I haven’t loved it in awhile. We’ve stepped on our d*cks so often in November that its really harmed my fandom. Sadly, my personality was probably a bit messed up in 2018/2019 for a few weeks. It’s nice to be excited to watch cupcakes and confident going into early season biggies.

Reed isn’t going to be here next year at this pace.

I don’t care what anyone says, he is a top 15 pick, at worst, and that’s the best a 6’2 white boy from Ky can hope for.

I honestly don’t think I’ve seen a better guard this year and he is only going to get better.

I have no idea how Reed's game translates to the NBA. But in college, he's a GD superhero.

And you can't just MAKE space. (well, you CAN, but to what end?) Space comes, naturally, from other teams being scared sh*tless to leave anyone free on the perimeter. Space doesn't mean sh*t, if you can't exploit it.

Miami was run ragged and dead-legged, 8 minutes into the second half. Running the other team dog-tired, does wonders for your defense on the other end.

When Reed made their player turn the ball over just past half court then just strolled by with a sly smirk 😏 without even acknowledging the remark was classic! It was around 4-5 minutes to go for those keeping score at home.
This is finally going to be a great winter for a change!
