you should pull a move out of your old college/sherard circle playbook and drag all the living room furniture and your big screen outside and set it up on your front lawn, bbdk.

weather aside, it just seems like a fun maneuver. particularly with the lass out of pocket for the evening.

Me? IIrc, you lived there too, bub. On the living from couch, from what I can recall.

Those were definitely the days...

-Just called Casina. ABH nailed it, they indeed close at 3:30pm on Fridays...sorry '73. Maybe next time. They're back to 9-5 regular hours on Saturday though.

I realize he will most likely be an NBA coach next year but Luke Walton as a college coach - yes or no?

The area that got dump trucked with snow is probably the area least equipped to deal with it. I-75 is such a disaster near Broadhead that they can't even get wreckers in to clear the accidents. A 15 mile stretch is closed in both directions.

That above forecast has been steady all day, didn't stop Cincinnati from closing everything and the local news running the "IF YOU MUST LEAVE THE HOUSE LACK WATER CLOTHES BLANKET AND TAUNTAUN IN CASE YOU GET STICK AND DIE" scroll all day. Idiots. Real big idiots.
I almost feel bad. They clearly blocked off the first 10 minutes of the newscast to talk about white death then had to send reporters to Dry Ridge to find any snow.

'73 is an idiot, not sure what else to say.

I'm at 7-8" now in the yard, 5+ on the deck/driveway. No clue what's old or what's new, just know it's not 1" . Just ran out to the beah sto, and it's a mess.

Learn US Customary units.

Walk outside and tell me you have 1" of snow. [laughing]

I'm not freaked out by it or concerned at all, I just ran out in it for supplies -- just sayin...stop being typical '73 stubborn/stupid..

When the Cincinnati stations are sending live trucks out to Dry Ridge and Bethel, OH to get shots of snow after preparing for the Battle of Hoth on Fountain Square are they still allowed to run MOST ACCURATE DOPPLER FORECASTS YOUR SEVERE WEATHER STATION WATCH US OR DIE promos?

Prolly.

Out at the shop I measured in 11" at 3p in a non-drift. Drifts up to 2-3' but it's so windy out there that's not unusual. I'd guess 8-10 at the house.

Roads are in pretty good condition. The main roads will be fine tomorrow.

11 inches in Hamburg around 4:00. I don't have it in me to dredge over them, but I've got some major drifts against the fence that I'm guessing are 18-20.

Green Chef is the organic version of Blue Apron food delivery. I sort of accidentally ordered it as the first shipment is 1/2 off or something. It's pretty good stuff.

Last night was lemon butter salmon on cedar planks with tasty green beans and an arugula salad. Tonight was chicken gnocchi with rutabaga, pear, butternut squash and kale. Next up is a mustard something or other steak with kale and mushrooms.

It's still a lot of prep, but it's nice to have exact ingredients in the amount needed for the recipe. And now that the kid is sleeping, I have time to cook. Makes me happy.

Have fun with that snow cream.

Blue Apron is the ****...got burnt out & cut if off for a while, mainly b/c of all the prep -- but it's a cool way to eat decent meals, all of which are "new", and things you wouldn't normally eat. All sorts of crazy/weird ingredients I would likely never buy on my own. Have never had a bad meal from them.

Especially cool how everything comes fresh, and in portions you need. No wasting a bunch of herbs or whatever...it all gets used per meal.

...would be a great vehicle for Chad to learn food, IMO.

They LOVE some farro, tho

- Little over a foot here on the Madison/Fayette line.

- Props to the guy walking in the middle of Man-O-War at night. No fear.

*I have no idea what the deal is with people walking down the middle of the street. Saw several on the way home. News even mentioned it.

*Glad you all liked "Booze time." Just another in a long string of additions by anth.

*I also like meals that cost way more than if you bought them in a store delivered to your door.

Just a guess but maybe the people are walking in the road because everything else is covered in a foot of snow. There's rather risk getting hit by a car than get snow in their shoes.

-I miss the disruptiveness of snow. Here it snows 16 inches and everyone instinctively wakes up at 4AM, the streets have already been fully plowed (leaving a 4 foot high drift at the end of your driveway), they shovel/snowblow all their walkways, and go about their day while being on time for everything. Our first big snow I hurriedly shoveled our cars out, made a little path down the sidewalk, showed up to work just a couple minutes late, and got stares like "wtf is wrong with you? It's just snow." Then we had a snowfall where I shoveled three times throughout the snowstorm while it fell during the evening, shoveled all our walkways before work, and got a flier left in our mailbox threatening to stop delivery of mail if we didn't shovel our walkway sufficiently to make it safe. I definitely envy the touchers with snowblowers at times, but refuse to buy one because I feel like it makes me "one of them." Just another month or two of fighting the good fight with my shovel.

Intrigued by green chef. Are they healthy portions? Fill both of you up with each meal?
Yeah, it's been good portions, even have enough of tonight's chicken for a small lunch for me tomorrow.

They offer Paleo, gluten free and vegetarian meals too. And you can see the menus each week before deciding if you want a shipment.

Swimmer is the Blue Bubbles of GYERO

<-------- wayyyyyyyy out in front on this

Good dude, but who reads that mess? Can't do it. Won't do it.

C'mon dude. Big part of being a successful gyero vet is proper formatting. Get it together, this has been going on far too long. #100
