Have to question Cheik's intelligence on that choice. Self sucks when it comes to developing one-and-done talent, he sucks when it comes to playing frosh, and Bragg had already committed when Diallo picked KU.

Past couple of years is going to be hard to explain though b/c it's becoming a trend, similar to Roy/UNC. Although I think Roy started going after good quality(soft) kids that weren't 1&d locks and got away from the elite talent.

RE: Basketball -- umm, it's really not that exciting. A bunch of dudes playing marginal basketball for a few hours per week having fun and getting some good exercise. Happens every day all over the world, including most of your gyms -- you guys should get out more.
