So given our remaining schedule, is a 3 seed our ceiling? I'm guessing we drop at least 2 more. I don't want to get stuck with a 4 again, but even that isn't exactly a death sentence.

* Sorry about all that crazy you were surrounded by on Saturday, Clark. I got stuck next to her during the UK/USC football game in September. Don't think she watched one play of the actual game. She just... kept... yammering. (She didn't eat any food off my plate though, so that's something.)

* The UofL/UNC line is just fishy enough for me to predict UofL covers.

* While the loss isn't the end of the world, I really hope it doesn't keep us out of the Louisville regional.

* With all his faults with a late/small lead, and taking the air out of the ball with 5 minutes left, Cal is so damn good as an underdog.

* 14-4 in the SEC, with losses at TAMU and Vandy.

* 4 seed.

Boy, Jones is all in on Pitino being out after this year. No equivocation whatsoever. Interesting.
I mean, if you think about it, any other coach at any other school would have been hammered by this, not to mention the other scandals. What's really amazing is that we might be a little surprised to *not* see him stay.

* 4 seed.

Would be nice if we finally got a good bracket this year. It's been a murderer's row and/or some stressful rival ******** every tournament since Cal got here.

Our best path was '10, I suppose, but even then we had a 2-seed waiting for us.

We need one of those Billy D Gator brackets for once.

Jones issue is that he took that stance on Pitnio really early when the story broke about how his team used prostitutes as a recruiting technique in the building named after his late brother in law who died tragically. And at the time, sure- any institution worth its salt wouldve parted ways- or had a contingency plan in place to get through this season.

However- now that a few months have gone by and its not a story anymore the world has forgotten and they will receive a self imposed slap on the wrist and Pitino stays and not another word will ever be said about it.

-Go Heels. NOT. EVEN. CLOSE. Blowout fashion preferred.

-How do we not have a guy on the bench that can shoot? Doesn't need to do anything else. Don't care if he can't play a lick of D. Is Mulder really not capable of knocking down a shot? Hell, UL went Henderson. I will agree that has to be addressed.

-No Worries, Dan Reifer, whoever the f*ck that is noted that all SEC coaches will now be running Triangle & 2 against us the rest of the way. [eyeroll] Ok, Dan-o. Maybe read wikipedia on junk d and stick to whatever it is that you do. I assume that's reading scores off a teleprompter.

-UP to NYC and back Thursday am-Friday PM. Beautiful Long Island. Talk about one of the last places on earth I'd live. All the nonsense associated with New York and NE with none of the benefits. Stupid cost of living, crazy taxes, terrible roads and traffic. No thanks. They do talk to us condescendingly like we live in Mexico, so that's nice.

-Baby gates up boxing in the den, little dude is rolling, doing the worm, army crawl, frog jumps, everything BUT actually crawling. Calling that area the Thunderdome, seems appropriate. Also have a feeling ***** about to get real.

-Shew, the PTI's Mardi Gras is more annoying that Bob's vacations. Lordy.

-Movies:
Everest = A(if you like "Into Thin Air" this ads a different spin on Krakauer's version. If you haven't read that book you probably should before the movie as I don't think they did a good job explaining all the details).
Straight out of Compton = A+ (favorite movie of the year I think. Man, that was a great time. The effort and cat n mouse game associated with listening to that music was some of my best work.)

If the sanctions are anything closely related to serious and Pitino steps down UL is going to be in a really tough spot.

Not many people have brought up the difficulty of them attracting a great hire while on probation. Also, who is out there that would be no brainer/slam dunk hire? That answer is there isn't anyone.

Hope they fall back into total mediocrity, donations go way down, and attendance at the YUM suffers big time causing the financial mess surrounding that place to get even worse. Then things will get really interesting.

Pretty sure they'll make a great hire, unfortunately. Ton of money. ACC. Jurich.

Need to be careful what we wish for there imho.

- Come on, bro. We both know that isn't true.

- I thought Straight Outta Compton was okay, but that's about it.

Pencil me as being fine with a 3-5 seed in the West bracket. It will have the weakest 1 seed followed by Arizona as the 2 and a couple of other west coast teams in the 3-5 range. Pretty sure that is the bracket Florida made their runs out of when they weren't a 1 seed.

Marcus Lee as a freshman in the NCAAT >>> Whatever this version of Marcus Lee is. Ugh. Clunker after Clunker with that guy.
Plus he just had his spot taken from him by the one player over the same amount of time who played less than him. It's not like his spot was taken by Kevin Durant. Just frustrating.

Barring a big run (only 1 or 2 losses; win SEC Tourney), I suspect we can kiss the Louisville regional goodbye. I can't see them saddling a 1-3 seed with us in that location.

It's hilarious. Everybody knows exactly what will happen. They just can't stomach it.

There's a lot of NBA people who think Westbrook is going to sign with the Lakers this summer. They'll have cap space & he's from LA.

If the Thunder lose Durant in the summer of 2017 .. Talk about a crushing blow to Donovan.

-Interim coach to navigate the probation, Willard I presume, then you have a year to court and land a great prospect.

-We have to get more from Lee. He and AP should be interchangeable without much drop off.

Don't believe for a second Pitino is going anywhere.

Give up that contract/job/congregation because you have to sit out the tourney one year and maybe get suspended for a few OOC games? Nope. Larry Brown, Boeheim, Pearl, etc... have all shown there's no shame in it. No one cares after the immediate media cycle.

Thinking you have to give one NCAA tournament probation period to send the correct message. I'll go one year probation from tournament, Pitino suspended for games and a few scholarships.

Pitino is not invested like Boeheim was/is. No way he sits out games and then comes back the same season. He is too stubborn. Which is why he probably moves on. IMO.

They're not getting a slap on the wrist, bud. I don't know about Rick but they're going to lose scholarships and sit out at least 1 tourney.
