Here are some highlights of a game from BAM. Other prospects are included in here but the fans are absolutely terrific. Can't wait to get the big fella on campus.

Bellarmine's looking at adding football, which could be pretty dope. Apparent objective in doing so is to increase the male student population while also giving a percentage irreversible brain damage.

Adding football to a small school is a great idea, sure way to bring in money as no college football team has ever lost money. I mean it's a great opportunity for those Louisville residents who love college football but find themselves stuck on the waiting list for UL season tickets to get out there on Saturdays and enjoy some college football.

Just hope they get a taxpayer funded stadium as part of the deal.

Bellarmine athletics >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bellarmine's "fraternity".
Yeah... but our German American parties were fun or did those get nixed by the time you came through. F*cking amateur hour baseball and women's basketball team was the cause of that BS. 10 years of those parties down the drain over 2 idiots.

Bellarmine pays for everything in cash, Max.

Plus the new football stadium will be a great home for the Toy Bowl. All divisions.

Yeah, but most of the team will probably be X/Trinity homebodies looking to extend their glory years without leaving the friendly confines of the Watterson Expressway.

Damn shame it couldn't have come along sooner for you, SAE...

Stadium is already in place. Really nice as well and 100% paid for by University and donations.

They'll do well b/c they have local kids to recruit that are currently going to Georgetown, Berea, etc. The basketball team draws really good crowds. School is situated in a really nice area right in the middle of the cities largest neighborhoods.

Of course when they came to us in 2002 and asked how to increase the male population, we suggested this. They went with lacrosse.

I'd really enjoy some football down on Newburg Road. Stadium is already there for it. GO KNIGHTS.

Also looking forward to when Davenport leaves so I can support the basketball team. As I have said before, Bellarmine has some potential to be a thorn in UofL's side similar to Xavier/Cincinnati, assuming they become D-1. The first step would be to hire a brash coach who could beat them. Then we'd be off to the races, as they say.

^The money situation in 2002 wasnt anywhere near where it is now. Football probably wasnt close to being realistic back then. 15 years of their best funding and development changes the dynamic quite a bit.

I was happily done with football after high school, and more than ready to leave Louisville. College social life FTW.

One of the best parties I ever went to was a Bellarmine Hillside party in 1991. Still wish I had that t-shirt.

Got nixed my sophomore year, I think...and I remember the idiots involved in it. They were fun while they lasted.

Lol, we flip a UL coach 2 days b4 signing day? No idea, other than a fat raise why he would do that.

Ok, Mark you got my attention bud.

Actually like what we've done this off season. Don't think you could ask for much more. Held together recruiting class, made some quality hires, pissed UL off right before signing period.

How about a bowl game? Or just piss UL off some more. I'm fine with that.

glad you cleared that up, sae. could have sworn suitors were tripping over themselves racing to recruit a slow, white, soft bodied, blocking wideout with poor hands and zero separating ability.

CONTROVERSIAL TAKE: I'm leery of a coach who leaves an objectively better program, working for an objectively better offensive coach in Petrino, to come work for UK/Stoops.

In other words- still some things to shore up imo.

That being said- lol, UL.

Slow, yes. Soft bodied? No. Pretty strong kid. Excellent hands, and I got open when I needed. High school was clearly my ceiling, however.

Nick Petrino was actually the WR coach, per Ennis and Demling. First time grad assistant definitely had more impact on bringing their freshmen wideouts along than the former NFL guy jmo l1c4

2 things, when they are throwing out -> "This is no big deal!!" You know it stings like a mofo. Hehehe. Demling is probably indirectly correct. If Junior Petrino is being groomed for WR I can understand why he would jump out of there for a considerable raise, even to UK.

Think it's pretty obvious these coaches are being told he won't be fired next year. Probably take a really awful year to move that up.

-I also think it's really funny when PTI, of all people, rags on someone for being a marginal athlete. Jacking off and long distance jogwalking is the extent of his athletic ability.
