The loop slide and the Alpine slide would be absolute “lol nopes” for ol’ MP

I definitely would have jumped into the freezing, possibly electrified pond/pool and taken my chances in the wave pool.

All other slides and stuff would be game time decisions.

* I started watching Van Hiles' First Half Breakdown. His initial assessment seems to be that the game tape is a bit more encouraging than it appeared in real time. (His breakdowns are phenomenal, btw.).

* I'm most disappointed thus far in our tight ends -- specifically Cummings. He looked like a potential future NFL player his first year under Coen. He's been trash since.

Having our tight ends be a short and immediate passing threat would be huge in opening up the offense. That's what I thought we'd be getting with Coen 2: Electric Boogaloo.

* I hope Coen is ok. He's only 37. That's pretty young to be going to the ER.

* Why are we not running the ball more? Davis is a great workhorse and Ramon Jefferson and DSK should be great back-ups. I guess if Jutawn McClain really is our second best back, I wouldn't run much either, though.

Pretty weird to see us play such slow tempo offense without trying to dominate the time of possession by running it (and to set up playaction better).

* Keeshawn Silver has been the unexpected highlight for me. He's a massive upgrade over Justin Rogers and gets consistent penetration (teehee) into the backfield nearly every time he's in the game. When he and Walker are on the field together, we have two guys who need to be doubled.
Trash Huh... He was targeted with TWO passes so far this season. One was thrown where he had to try to jump over the defender to get to it and the other was thrown 30 years down field while being DOUBLE defended and NO other targets to at least let him get acclimated to to flow of the game. Yes, the second one he could have caught, he has the skill set to do so, but hardly justifies calling him trash.

This thread is full of histrionics and hyperbole. "Trash" is (of course) way overblown and not intended to be any personal insult. Just over the top rhetoric that is typical here.

I thought the kid looked like a future NFL player after 2021 and think he has the talent to do that this year. I think he has, by far, the most receiving talent of any tight end on the roster. Go Cats!

I dont know what Mel Tucker's contract clauses look like but trust this court battle will go on awhile until he gets close to every penny they owe him. JMO. We haven't heard the sketchiest details of those interactions yet either.

We are at the time when I have a number of graduate students who weren't born yet when 9/11 occurred. I'm a bit worried that the context of that is going to get lost over time, but I guess that's just how it goes, unfortunately. I get consumed in coverage of every year... but im not sure ive seen the same documentary more than once or twice.

Maybe i'm not quite as doom and gloom on the football team because there seem to be a lot of teams that have looked like **** so far. I dont know. Whatever.

I dont understand the people celebrated Rogers getting hurt because he didnt get vaccinated, but par for the course these days. I save my "I dont care if he gets hurt" for my major on-field rivals.

Any chance TommyG could get on the campaign trail with this gal?

The storyline on the Jets coach, who looks like could still be playing in the league- is wild. The arc from his 9/11 story to coaching the Jets to a wild win on 9/11 is pretty storybook. Sports, man.
