We ALL endured 31 years in a row of losing to Florida. No fanbase should ever endure that type nonsense from a conference opponent. So we all had the right to say whatever popped in our head after year 10 or so.

My dad and I had 2 season tickets each when we beat Florida and UT.
We were there, doesn’t get much better than that. We walked down to the field and stood on the end zone after the UT game.
I made a frame of it with his sports illustrated picture acknowledging it. Put our tickets in there and some actual bluegrass from the end zone.

My dad and I went to the Tennessee game in Knoxville in 1984. UK beat them and didn’t do it again until a few years ago. Drove from Lexington in a beat up Chevette. Looking back it was one of the more memorable days with my dad. Parkinson’s and dementia took him in 2019. He would be happy as hell with what Stoops has accomplished. Spent many days at Commonwealth with him drinking bourbon during 52-3 beatdowns.

Gets me in the feels when people talk about UK and family and just sports in general as a bonding thing between generations. My Dad, a UK grad, died at 53, but everytime UK does something special I think about him and what he would say about it. He would love what Stoops has done with the program. He finally got season football tickets the last three years of his life for him, his wife, my wife and me.
I know I've told this story once on here before years ago but growing up we didn't have a lot of money,. He worked some ****** jobs in fast food and retail management during his 20's and then about age 32 moved onto bigger and better things. It was a big deal to get to Cincinnati once a summer and go to Kings Island and a Reds game and a few years that was our vacation. A lot of days I didn't see him because he was closing when I had school and I was in bed before he got home. In 1979, the last gasp of the Big Red Machine, Rose and Sparky were gone, but they had won the West and played eventual champs, the Pirates, in the NLCS. He woke me up on a school night when he got home from work and wanted to know if I wanted to stay up and watch the Reds with him since it was the playoffs. One of those things that I'll never forget. Enjoy your loved ones while you can and when its your kids those little things might end up meaning a lot more than a grand gesture.

80, RE San Fran, years ago, drove up from Monterrey. parked at the Wharf and took a bus tour of the city. All the way out to the Bridge, Presidio, Chinatown, etc.
Monterrey pretty cool town and all know the trip along the coast down to there is well worth it.

When people disparage sports or people getting all excited over kids playing a game, I always think you have no idea how it’s more about everything encompassing the game.
The game is the reason we’re there for sure. But hanging out and seeing friends and family before during and after is why we tailgate and have pre and post parties. The Schems get that and do a great job like 100 other families that just want a reason to get together.
It’sa beautiful thing and we should embrace that. People think of tailgating a as college kids and adults getting drunk and that’s there, but it’s more a celebration of being with your people that would not happen otherwise.
Pretty excited to finally see some giant sequoia trees. That will come after SF.
There are no photos or videos that do the sequoias justice. Breathtaking.
* I didn't spend too much time in SF. We just had one afternoon there after hitting up Napa for a few days, but we did Muir Woods and Fisherman's Wharf.
The wharf was fine, I loved Muir Woods.
* Just shot a few commercials in the Pacific NW. So gorgeous up in the mountains.
* Seattle was much better than the last time I was out there. Less tent cities and homeless wandering around the areas we were in.
* But downtown Portland is worse than you hear about. Talk about people pooping on the street. Openly doing drugs on every corner or leaning against your parked car shooting up. There are so many, I have no idea what the answer there is.
Too many to lock up. Most have mental issues or are addicts. Most of the prostitutes were too ugly to touch. Awful.
* I did some salmon fishing in the Columbia River in Rainier, OR. Hit our limit in under 2 hours. Pretty cool.
* Did hit up a food fest in Portland that was awesome. Somehow they kept all of the riff raff and undesirables away.
* Seafood chain in Seattle area was awesome, Duke's. The producer loved it, so we ate there 4x.
* The last day of the shoot, went to a fantastic bourbon bar just off of Seattle U's campus.
* Kids' sports is still off the hook. I won't even be able to watch the Florida game live, let alone get down there for it. I was really looking forward to hitting up Lex for that one. The schedule was looking good, then they posted the tournament brackets. Touch me.
* I am going to try to host a couple of GYERO legends for a game watch party soon. Hopefully, wcc and Assist By Redass and I can work out a game where it works for all of us. And Chad is in the country.
* I like that Down Home Armagnac Finish. Shew Wee. Pounded a bottle with a ND and OSU neighbor while watching their battle the other night.
I thought it would be a little too sweet for me, but it was excellent.
* I'll be in Lex tomorrow for a meeting, but it'll just be an up and back trip.
* Growing a beard. I always have some sort of facial hair, but I've never let the beard completely grow out. It is pretty much entirely white. Touch it. I'm 51 and sexy AF. I can deal with the gray.
It's still pretty short, only 3 weeks in. But I gave it a good trim today.
I don't look as good as Rudd, but I'm trying.

Us redheads go straight white, no gray. Every time I grow my beard out there’s more white. I plan on growing mine back out too but worry about that white, I’ve got one run left in me lol.

I ran across the Golden Gate Bridge (and back) last year. It's noisy, but it's pretty awesome. Kind of a "I want to say I've done that' sort of things. And if you get the urge and want to jump off there are nets that cost more than the bridge to catch you.
I go to SF quite a bit. The financial district and all that stuff is a ghost town with a bums galore, but Fisherman's Wharf is pretty clean and safe. Seattle was worse this time around. Dudes just stroll around doing fentanyl on the street. I’ll tell you what place is a dump - Sacramento.

My first time in rollerblades was across the Brooklyn Bridge and up Manhattan against traffic. My buddies convinced me to remove the brakes from my new rollerblades. Within an hours time I had three near death experiences that ranged from being unable to stop on the downward slope of the bridge and grabbing a suspension cable to stop, riding the tire of a taxi I didn’t see coming on a cross street, and leaping over the hood of a parked car into pedestrian on the sidewalk to avoid decapitating a passenger exiting a taxi.
Took those things off and rode the train home. Never used them again.

* Is it just me or do the Kentucky Wildcats have a better coach and a more talented roster than the Florida Gators?
* I absolutely adore being able to leave the windows open about 5 months a year. My wife is unable to tolerate more than a 3 degree deviation from 70 degrees, however, which has led to many a fight. This weather is clutch for sleeping with the windows open and keeping the risk of divorce to a minimum.
