Maybe this team could go back in time and play everyone of the games you all want to complain about.

I bet they’d all go the same, so yea, keep on keepin on!

I hope everything goes perfect all the time for you all outside of UK sports man.

I really do. Not sure how some of you get through a day.

Edit: to say I actually do know how rogue gets through, like literally every second of his day I seem to be aware of.

Not sure if this ever got shared and just learned about this from my brother. My uncle nominated Cal for the 2023 Race Amity Medal of Honor and got to meet him at the presentation ceremony.

John Calipari

University of Kentucky Basketball Coach John Calipari, one of the NCAA Division I all-time winningest coaches, will be honored with the Race Amity Medal of Honor for his equally impressive record of courage and commitment to advancing racial justice, equity and access in collegiate sports.

“Beyond his undeniable athletic record as one our nation’s top basketball coaches, Coach Calipari has demonstrated a profound humanitarian commitment to his players, especially players of color, mentoring them and standing by them in an exemplary fashion,” said Dr. William “Smitty” Smith, Founding Executive Director of the National Center for Race Amity.

Dr. Smith cited Coach Calipari’s decision to take the knee with his team during the national anthem prior to a game at Florida in 2021 as a “distinctive statement of moral courage, as he was the only notable coach in the sports community that took such a laudable action.” Dr. Smith also noted the work of the Calipari Foundation, which mentors and supports youth in underserved and minority communities.

One of the things that stood out to me was their camera shots in the huddles they were doing. They had one for Kansas and one for us in the final 5 mins. Bill Self was cool and calm and just talking strategy. Calipari was screaming like a psycho. To me, that’s just what it all comes down to. He needs to settle himself down, but it’s just who he is, it just is. You just hope the players can settle THEMSELVES down and overcome it.

Cautiously optimistic but leaning towards cautious. It's like the song says, it's not because I didn't know enough, I just knew too much. The idea of sitting Wagner and Edwards because it's not their night is foreign to Cal because in my mind I know the hype and I can hear him saying he's not going to "steal their joy" and the rest of us and the team be damned.

We played well and in a lot of ways it was impressive and it looks like bright from the outside. Someone brought up, we shot a lot of 3's, hardly any long or mid-range 2's and that was one of the biggest positives from a coaching standpoint. But being short three big men played into that, too.

-I've been "onto cal's bs" longer than anybody in here.

^he ain't going anywhere this year... so I may as well hope he's been forced to change to modern basketball due to injuries. If the bigs come back and he reverts... I'll ***** a bit then.

^why not. Optimism>>>misery. Not gonna let Cal steal my joy. If my optimism proves to be misplaced... WGAF, life is short... be happy, *************.

As many of you know, I live a #smug life and own many Yeti products to be prepared for the inevitable collapse of civilization.

As such- I’d like to share with you what’s sure to be a hit item this holiday season: the ($50) Yeti bottle opener. Please note- this appears to only work on beer bottles, not bottles with a cork. Gonna need something else for that. Pretty sure you could also use it to knock out an irradiated wasteland raider trying to steal your well preserved ice water.

This is completely inaccurate. I went back and watched the final 5 minutes just to double check. Cal was not screaming like a psycho. He was talking strategy just like Self. You're just making up ****.

Other than the last play which was a s-show, I thought the team had good looks down the stretch. Two things went wrong:

1) Dilly decided to play NBA All-Star game level D
2) We missed open shots

That’s true. However, there is more to it than that.

When I have a player on 🔥 I prefer the other team try and stop him. Rather than my own philosophy cooling them off. We had two on fire. Both got yanked. KU had Harris, who scored 23, get in foul trouble twice. Self pushed through with him each time.

This isn’t just black and white. Both sides of the argument isn’t necessarily wrong.

Harris is a vet. He knows how to play with foul trouble. Also, they had no other options. Shep and Dilly were both in at crunch time and both made crucial errors. It was a learning experience for both that will make them better. I pray that we face Kansas again in the tournament. They are not a team to fear.

There were a few people who were at the game that said Dilly asked for a breather when he was on his heater but I know that doesn't fit the narrative.

You mean to tell me that after Reeves hit that 3 and Self called a TO that he asked to come out? In the words of Ulysses Everett McGill “that don’t make no sense”.

This is the same guy that was LIVID after we beat UT @UT, by double digits last year, in a much needed win.

Some of you are miserable pricks. TS

This class reminds me of 1995. That seemed to work out well.

Kentucky fans are the most spoiled in all of CBB. If we aren’t 40-0, it’s a letdown. Like Krazy said, 3 of the past 6 years we were top 8 at the end of the season. One of those were the Covid season, so really 3 out of the last 5. What more could you ask for? We lost the last few years because our “one” shooter couldn’t hit a bucket.

If you cant get excited after the KU game, as a UK fan, congrats, you have entered the grumpy old man stage, and probably gets miserable about literally everything, which mirrors about 1/4 of Gyero.

The same people hate stoops as well. Acting like the next evolution for UK football is being top5 and beating UGA and Bama with 3 stars. I will never get pulling for a program/team, and constantly ***** about it like we are UL. Those Oscar seasons were fun. It’s almost like it’s tough to win the NCAAT, as a one seed hasn’t won in 3 years. Were the odds on favorite right now. But yea, what’s Vegas know. DADYERO thinks we aren’t capable of making a run.

Since we have 8 titles, and Cal alone has 4 FF appearances, 2 CG appearances while having the greatest non title season (38-1) in uk history, I’m ok with the fat Italian. He brings in the best every year. They miss the shots, not Cal. Since coming to UK he has the most wins, most NCAAT wins and 2nd most titles among active coaches.

IMO no coach has adjusted to the NIL/portal better. Sometimes you swing and miss. At least this year we are full of shooters, instead of just 1.

If you don’t see the program on the rise, from the low of the last 5 years, then idk.

Classic GYERO rules:

1. Have a take.
2. Don't suck.

One out of two ain't bad...

Drove around Louisville today. Grandmas new Toyota Siena van that hasn’t moved in 3 years. 8k miles on the clock, Took it for an oil change, wash as wife and batshit crazy BIL did some funeral parlor prep.

Stopped by my old highlands home on Blvd Napoleon. Cherokee Park. Little man met some kid and played soccer for a bit. Don’t know if I’ll have a reason to come back… Jack Fry’s at 7:45.

Sad. I miss Louisville.

Lived on Eastern Parkway corner of Dahlia adjacent to the Medical Arts Center for 12 years. Loved the area, hated it with storms & ice because of the trees but think things have changed in the Highlands unfortunately.

Appears Germantown & Schnitezilburg is really booming though.

You should come out to Norton Commons after your dinner for a drink at Tap or Watch Hill. It’s now the cultural center of Louisville after all.

Apparently he did asked to come out per multiple reports.

Kooky, I think Wayne is inviting you over to plow his wife, after you tie him to a chair in the corner and duct tape his mouth shut.
Yes, understood…that’s exactly how I read it as well. However, these shiksas can’t handle the sasseetch if you know what I’m sayin’.

Jack Fry’s: Couple elite pours, the pork chop, crème caramel dessert… my fav Louisville haunt.

Tomorrow: Buck’s to relive the days of grandparents reign of Mayflower ownership. End of an era.

Welp. Time to start cheap-shotting everyone. Shred Lamar's knee. Bring Burfict back to send OBJ to Antonio Brown land. Refs are gonna throw the flags anyways. What a joke of a league.
