So I watched Leave the World Behind on Netflix last night and believe me when I say don't waste 2 1/2 hours of your life watching it. Not only was it stupid, made very little sense and have a weird ending but it was basically saying that the world will end because every other country in the world will unite to destroy the US because they all hate white people.

Oh man, it looked soooooooo good? 🙄

Movies are mostly terrible. You people who watch them nonstop, I'd wager 5% max were truly worth the time.
I watch more in winter months when it's dark by the time I get home from work than other times of the year when I can go golf with my daughter. However, you are probably correct that I tend to walk away from too many saying that it was a waste of my time.

I read the book at one point and I remember getting to the end being all like “huh? that’s it?” like there was a concept but not really the normal conflict/resolution you look for in a plot.

Infuriating.

I've been sitting on a Rutledge gold-neck OBSO to crack with Clark -- and now he's just giving up?
I didn’t give up drinking or even give up bourbon- just cut back (a lot) and downsized the amount of bottles that were probably never going to get fully emptied sitting in our house.

I'm not giving away BTAC bottles or anything like that, but there was no reason to have like 3 double-oaked woodfords, or however many different mashbills of peerless, and so on.

I also started to have some guilt that I was starting to have stuff like a Barbie Dream House sitting next to a bourbon cabinet. A bit of a purge just made sense.

Bill Belichick's record with and without Brady

With Brady 249 wins, 75 losses 77% win percentage and 6 Super Bowl wins
Without Brady 83 wins 100 losses 46% win percentage and 0 Super Bowl wins

Brady's record without Belickick 37 wins 20 losses 65% win percentage and 1 Super Bowl Win

They obviously were better together but man Belichick has sucked without Brady.

- Started Homeland last night. Odd seeing Bobby Axelrod in a completely different role and takes some serious getting used.

- Maclin, hmmmm, I wonder if it’s any relation to Jeremy Maclin who was a star a Mizzou and did well for the Eagles.

- Just a heads up, wagercat peeps our guy is checking out after the Super Bowl. Plenty of other options I know but it will be cut off at that point and need to be cleared up either way.

- Sounds like I’m going to have to get annexed into Mt Washington before plumbing can work. Currently I have the only 12 acres left in Mt Washington that isn’t annexed yet.

So another jurisdiction to need approvals from, but at least I personally know these guys.

- I get that it’s modern and fun as hell dropping 3’s on an opponent when the game gets out of hand in that manor.

But for me it’s equally enjoyable when a big man gets it in the post and gives and old school up and under, hits a baby hook, or just maneuvers around an opponent for a monster slam. I really loved Marquis Estill.

- I actually like Tre Mitchell and Bradshaw together, but Bradshaw has to be the help defender.

No offense, Chad. You sound like a *****.
I meant this in the most loving way possible. There's nothing wrong with a Dad enjoying a few cocktails after the kids are in bed. Nothing wrong with having a liquor cabinet, even in close proximity to a doll house, and definitely nothing wrong with having bourbon hunting as a hobby. Unless, you're spending the college fund on secondary fakes. See... when you become a Dad you're now the least notable person in the house with your hobbies and priorities ranking last. So you should keep a relatively low time consuming hobby. Reverse course, sailor, slap a lock on the cabinet, and let's get to work on those extry bottles of Peerless and Double Oak.

Cheers!!

What pages of GYERO were we in when word that the University of Louisville used prostitutes to lure recruits via sex parties in the dorm named after Rick Pitino’s late brother in law?

My contact who actually has a legitimate contact at Whoreville says the decision has been made to let Kenny go over the break.

My contact is also a bad alcoholic and sustains himself by selling illegal drugs, and whatever is left of his trust fund, so take it for what it’s worth!

Any other GYERO folks, as a hobby, solve random advanced mathematics problems (in lieu of crossword puzzles, etc.) as a hobby/brain exercise? I've got a 2'x3' blackboard, and regularly do this.

When I say advanced math, I'm talking Calculus.

A tumbler of Scotch, and calculating derivatives and defining integrals is an evening well spent.

It makes for great conversation at parties too.

"I noticed your rain gutters are 6x4", let's put our heads together and see if we can't do better than that."
