Yeah, I actually do it. And it takes a lot of guts to come on here and admit it. LOL

Math was always my favorite/best subject, and a couple of years ago, I ran across an article that said doing math problems (doesn't have to be calculus, just whatever level challenges you) is one of the best brain exercises (the goal being, of course, to keep the old noodle elastic, as you age) you can do, so I took it up.

and yes, it is pretty fvcking nerdy...

So we wait until now to run tempo after starting out the game with it and going away.

I effing know better. I've watched this crap for too many years. Any long time UK fan knows Lucy is going to yank the ball away.

Piss on this team. Piss on this program. Piss on this coaching staff. I'm not wasting another second watching this ******** program if they lose this game. F*ck them.

I think Stoops is going to have to figure out that what he wants to do offensively doesn't jive with his personnel or his offensive coordinator. We were 10 times more effective going up tempo and pitching it around quickly. It wore the defense down and kept them off-balance, which helped our offensive line. As much as he wants us to be a running team, we're not. The line play just isn't there. He keeps hiring these up-tempo guys and tries to take the air out of the ball. It just doesn't work.
Read the “whores” chat and stumbled upon some gems from our **** fest against EKU the next day. Some things never change.

Plato was a firm believer in to the study of algebra in his perfect society as a brain exercise... wasn't there, but believe it.

Well, when you think of HymanKaplan, it is natural to immediately think of Plato.

(Plato, if he were alive today; and I think I can speak for him, would agree that Calipari sucks balls)

I'm pretty sure he said that, " it is as if Calipari is coaching shadows on a cave wall." (and then went and beat his dog)
Well, I don't recall him saying anything about letting the cake bake

Any other GYERO folks, as a hobby, solve random advanced mathematics problems (in lieu of crossword puzzles, etc.) as a hobby/brain exercise? I've got a 2'x3' blackboard, and regularly do this.

When I say advanced math, I'm talking Calculus.

A tumbler of Scotch, and calculating derivatives and defining integrals is an evening well spent.

It makes for great conversation at parties too.

"I noticed your rain gutters are 6x4", let's put our heads together and see if we can't do better than that."

I’ll stick to backgammon, thank you.

That said, you always heard growing up “why do I need to learn math? I’ll never use Algebra, Calculus, etc”. When really you do, just not always in number form. Everything you do in life is basically a math problem where as you have to put things in the correct order to solve the problem. From getting your kids up and to school on time, running a business, or fixing the damn door lever on the dishwasher it’s all an equation to be solved.

Plus, a lot of you GYERODADS are going to be facing helping your kids with Algebra/Trig homework in a few years, and let me tell you; you're going to need the refresher.

If you don't want to bother, the Clown only charges 25 dollars an hour for tutoring.*

*(tutoring the GYERODADS, not the kids. At a local watering hole I would imagine.)

"UCL, please come to the front of the pub, and demonstrate how to prove that this triangle, inscribed within a circle, is or is NOT a right triangle. If it IS a right triangle, calculate the radius of the circle given that a = 4

(Failure to show your work means the next round is on you.)

My brain basically never stops doing math. It's how it spends its down time, and mostly what it does when I'm working. Plus, chalk on a chalkboard is very satisfying. Team Kaplan over here.

UL basketball has gone from schadenfreude to straight up embarrassment. Almost embarrassed to even consider them our rival. Do your part, Cards. The ideal UK-UL dynamic is what football is doing right now. UL thinks they're good all year, expects a win over UK, Vegas agrees, and UK still gives em the biz. Those wins feel good. A win over UL basketball now marcus be a win over University of the Cumberlands.

I really wish I knew how to tune-up/fix small electronics. I have some vintage audio equipment in need of maintenance that I'd like to dive into, and I'm sure YouTube makes it's easy enough, but something about it is intimidating. Same goes for small engines. Maybe I just need some scotch and some free time.

Hit up Khan Academy and get your synapses firing again. That and Duolingo will hopefully keep my mind sharp as the rest of my body decays.

* Probably gonna start listing my pronouns on my email, social, etc. Got an email from two different FOLX this week referring to me as Mrs PTI (pti). Words hurt, people. #genocide #literallyhitler #etc

* Can you imagine if you literally couldn't measure your D with 6 rulers? That's 72+ inches of D.

Ladies?

* KSR got the exclusive Koron Davis interview yet, or nah?

* Just as a reminder....

😂

I mean, that's a Rowdy Roddy Piper/Ric Flair/Macho Man Randy Savage promo. Absolutely amazing.

* Just a reminder to all you GYEROers that your wives are all dirty fat disgusting ******.

* I don't remember a lot of UK fans dreading the loss of Kenny Payne. Not even as an assistant. And I sure as hell don't remember anyone talking about him as head coach material. Wish him the best, but man. What a god awful hire.

* Just kidding here in a totally different cyber world about all your wives. CatPaw isn't even real hahaha. See y'all at the next tailgate lol!

* Guess we need to start firing up some Austin recs.

* Heather Harmon got all the love, but I'll gently remind all of you what a big role Jim played in her success. What a piece.

If we are going to make an honest ranking of the biggest Rap/R&B feuds from the 90's- its this:

3. Nas v. Jay Z
2. Tupac v. Biggie
1. Brandy v. Monica

Found myself rewatching a couple episodes of The Bear and i'm really worried about the fate of Carmie and Claire's relationship. Shout out to Molly Gordon. I'm not sure why- but if I didnt know the actresses real name and just saw a picture- i'd say she looks like a girl named Molly Gordon.

Nervous about Bacot going off this weekend and our lineups going big to try and stop him. We'll see... Going to take a big effort from a lot of guys.

Finally finished Billy Walters book... good but a bit underwhelmed on hearing anything we didn't kind of already know. I did like the references to the South End and a lot of those sketch streets and intersections that I grew up passing.

"Coaches should step down and take less money than they are contractually owed" is just an AWFUL position that a lot of people seem to have.

I dont watch a lot of movies- but I will stay up at weird hours watching a couple hours of a documentary on a topic I really hadnt ever thought of before.

Eric Wood is in these uncomfortably bad Cincinnati Bell cable commercials up here. Just some local “celebs” sitting at a table (might be at Ruby’s I dunno) chopping it up about how great cable internet is for the tri-state community.

Totally normal stuff. Just Sean Miller, Barry Larkin, one of the Lacheys, Eric Wood and Marty Brennamen just all like “hey, want to meet up for a nice dinner and talk about streaming services” as one does.

They’re bad. Not in a good bad way like Bronson Arroyo singing about frozen hoagie kits. Bad like eating one of those frozen hoagie kits.

I liked it when the episodes were gritty, sweaty and hectic, but it started leaning corny and went downhill. Claire's too good for him. Richie's quick pivot into a thoughtful, snooty butler was unbelievable (not to mention it killed the goose that laid golden eggs - Richie being an ******* piece of ****). Egregious overuse of the word chef. Sydney sucks. The best thing about that show is that once my wife was mad at me and instead of apologizing verbally, I rubbed my chest with my fist and we both got a laugh about how dumb that was.
