lol “Do you have a website”- Matt

He’s a college kid shooting birds. He doesn’t run a business. He’s doing it for fun.
Obviously you forgot about www.ShagariSafari.com

* We ended up holding on to Willie Rodriguez and Jordan Dingle while adding a Georgia LB and a Florida OL. Hot damn!

I downloaded a ******, pixelated video of Derek Anderson dunking on Nate Johnson in 1997 and probably watched it a thousand times. Daily viewing.

For whatever reason, this football class doesn't feel as hyped up as some recent ones, but it's got some straight up studs. Probably most excited about Rodriguez. Big *** athlete, good hands, fast, strong, fluid. Should end up in the league. He'll get meaningful snaps in a loaded TE room as a true freshman, IMO.

-Yup. As of now the only really big, kinda unexpected loss, was Wallace. Can't really blame him if he has a solid grade.

-Either been in a room or talked directly with both HCs about NIL Collectives. Our issue is currently:

*Cal hates collectives and tells fans, boosters, etc to stay away. Even going as far to say if some of the "charity" ones got nabbed by the IRS it could bring an audit on anyone that donated.
*Stoops is obviously all in on getting support but you can't shame fans into "ponying up." He's been terrible at selling it. Wouldn't be the worst idea to shift the responsibility and pr over to Vince. The ultimate salesman.
*The you have the KFUND that has no interest in losing any revenue streams and is definitely not going to pitch in. With a AD that isn't interested in touching the envelope much less pushing it like TAMU or UT.
*If Ole Miss can do it, and Cal can go on air multiple times to collect millions of dollars for charity, there's no reason UK can't compete with Ole Miss or (especially)Mizzou.
*There's been no direct contact with the group of boosters outside of the very top regarding NIL.

Everyone over there seems to be pulling in different directions. They really need to take this time, where it does seem like the BBN is listening, and change the approach. I give $20 a month to countless streaming services.

-Total Wine on Nicholasville had Weller, Buffalo Trace and McKenna on the shelf. That'll do.

-The next 6 days are gonna be a BLUR. Perfect ages for the boys so trying to remind myself to slow down and have tons of patience.

Stoked about tomorrow, but always hate this game, especially in a year when we are so heavily favored. For all his faults, Cal seems to realize that losing to UL is unforgivable, so I feel like we won't overlook with one ****-show of a game (UNCW) already in the books.

Looking after like 7 guys, from the most high profile program in the sport, for like 8 months, is way easier than what Stoops has to deal with.
Really looking forward to an updated “Raw Recruits”/“Meat Market” type look into the NIL era of recruiting.

I'm kind of glad Cal hates collectives. It doesn't seem to be hurting basketball recruiting and it cuts down on competition for dollars for the football team.
Don't confuse NIL donations with Collectives. Cal still wants (and gets) a lot of NIL cash from wealthy donors that could be spending it on football.

Even our bench warming walk-ons get a taste.

There is no competition for dollars w/ football, especially w/ the blue blood donors who have always been hoops first....NIL or under the table. That isn't ever going to change.

Dumas-Johnson is some stroke of luck. If they can't find an edge in the portal, I wouldn't be mad bringing JJ back. Bring in Nicholson or some other DB and I will talk myself into Atlanta with this group by March.

UL week always brings out the nervous tension. Went to the '05 game my sophomore year and for all the warts of that team still remember them fondly for kicking the **** out of the Cards that day.

Rondo, Sparks, Smooth, Joe Crawford backcourt deserved better than playing with the bigs on that team.
