I just want someone who hates to lose and will do whatever it takes to keep it from happening....including building a roster of kids who hate it, too.

That's not what we have. In the immortal words of Pras, "Some got hopes and dreams, we got ways and means". All Cal sells is hopes and dreams. I want a guy who finds ways and means.

Shew wee lol.

Washington Generals. Hundo in Rupp to Ricky F Barnes eh? And Damion Connection *sic was basically a zero given his dominance? Literally his worst game in 2 months (or season)?

No worries- Josaiah wack *** Jordan MF bum *** JAMES, has the 1 (one) truly 5*** game he was projected as, after being a total bust for 3+ years until tonight. Of COURSE!!! 🤣

Oh, shout out to Zig & Vescy for also having their GOYs, and for both, prob top 3 career. (Which is like 8-12 years)

Bad luck, some say. lol 🤡 Kenny F Payne could even improve our culture/defense/vaginas.

I mean seriously. Jfc

- We have no answer for Knecht
- Zeigler and Vescovi have been **** all year but sure to light us up
- Rick Barnes owns Cal
- No DJ and Adou about 60%
- Program is a ship taking on water with Cpt. Fat Wop at the helm.
Prophetic…mostly (minus Knecht)

(or, it was just painfully obvious how this would go down)

Coaches I would prefer over Cal at this point:

- The coach from Teen Wolf
Coach Finstock: There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never go near a woman that has a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

I **still** can’t believe the boos when he yanked Dillingham. Absolutely deserved, but I mean it in that itnfelt like the moment it switched. The folks around me have been slightly side eyeing our conversations and frustrations all year… tonight we were just average.

It was already, but the door has been slammed shut on him. He’s done. Kinda surreal if you take yourself back to this time 9 or so years ago.

Naturally, incoming Gonzaga, a perennial top 5-10 team for legit 15 years is firmly OUT of the dance.

Short of winning WCCT, their last chance is us. lol, what a loser stick we got it this deal. Best case a Q2/3 win? Worst case NIT. lol. ../deserved

Hopefully our dudes don’t have any normal & expected things “bothering” them by then.

- Water broke with like 3 minutes to go in the game. Wife called my phone from upstairs and it was on. Eva Grace was born about 45 minutes ago- 7 lbs 4 oz, 19” long. She’s really cute.

- Regarding basketball, if your coach routinely misidentifies who should be playing the most and/or together; and can’t even lower himself to strategize by throwing a 2-3 zone when baseline OOB plays have been killing him for a decade …

Then wtf else is there to say?

Number one job of coaching is too much. Bare minimum strategy too much.

Congrats! At least she wasn’t born during that **** show and can still claim her record as 0-0.

I didn’t stay up and watch. That alone should say something. Read quite a bit up on the game this morning but here’s what I’m gonna say…

You can’t lose at home like that no matter if you’re Kentucky or not.

To come out and be down 16-5 immediately is unacceptable and 100% coaching.

To be in Feb and still have no idea on substitution pattern and lineup combination is malpractice.

To not be able to defend BLOB plays is laziness.

In the past, UK would come out and win this game in first 5 min. We lost in the first 5 min after that major meltdown on Wednesday… wtf?!

How much talent does cal need?

All of those things should lead to his dismissal at end of the year….

However, for him to skip the post game Q&A court side should lead to his dismissal today. That is a disgrace. Players go out and answer the questions and he can’t do the same?!?!. That is just being a dick and throwing the middle finger to the fans and administration.

I don’t care if he goes on to win another title, get rid of his ***.

The player's first is the worst concept ever for the biggest program in CBB history. It should have never been about the individual coming here. It was gaslighting to suggest that's the only way we get top recruits to Kentucky. It's time for the carpet bagger to pack his **** and leave town on his own. Don't say anything, don't preach to us, don't make excuses and don't believe for a second the success dudes have in the NBA means fvckall when you routinely get smacked around by mid level college coaches. Just hit the fvcking bricks, Cal.

Never said 50 a game, but you post what you think we’ll do and I’ll make a loser leave GYERO bet with ya that we do better…..deal?

I have already won 2 bets w/ another GYERO poster the last 2 seasons where I correctly predicted 7 wins each year. You're out of your league so my advice would be to just stay in your lane. It is worthy of a good laugh, at least.

I think we can give up the narrative, especially this year, that when people come in to rupp and play well over their season or career averages that it’s “bad luck”.

We have the worst defense in the country. We put up zero resistance. It’s open gym out there when teams come in to rupp. So yes. Expect for the rest of the season that everyone is scoring over their season average.

Just to remind everyone of what it is.

Cal has about $42mm remaining. Firing him means we owe 75% of it, meaning $31.5mm.

Unsure if it is lump sum or across several years but as Chad said yday, that shouldn’t be an issue for a school in the SEC. Doesn’t mean that Mitch will do it but if you’re keeping him for only one reason, that is very much short sighted.

I bet you could get cal to a reduced amount to by not using the word “fired”. Coaches don’t like that word and will take less (prob not a lot) to have it seen as mutual.

-So I guess in his contract we can’t fire Cal for underperforming without having to pay him out? That’s dumb. Can’t we just tell him we’re an “right-to-work” state or something?

-UT is 5-3 against us in the last 7 🤬.

-Listening to the post game now and that’s got me 🤯.

-A Snus, sativa, 2 coffees and walking in the gym now should do the trick though.

At this point we are just waiting for the last kid to turn 18 and leave the house.

I still cannot get over the fact that again he sent Orlando out last night, but not surprised, which is a clear violation of Paragraph E Sec 1. I’d like to know who gets the distinction of having to sit there and take the heat. Rock/Paper/Scissors? Short straw? Does Mitch not have the stones to deal with this?

If Mitch had any stones, and he does not, he’d tell Cal to get out there and do the postgame or he’ll do it himself. And Mitch can sit there and answer basketball questions. That would resolve things quickly one way or another….Cal not wanting Mitch to represent the basketball program or Mitch not allowing a subordinate to push things on to an even further subordinate.

Someone has to grab the steering wheel of this bus that is the once great Kentucky Wildcat Basketball program, good freaking grief. Does no one care in the athletic department care anymore?

Well that contract is quite tricky! Somehow it seems Cal side stepping the coaching duties is best but being obligated to then cover 100% vs 75% of what is owed might not be worth it.

Makes me wonder if that was put in place in case Mitch retired and Cal could step in and help on the basketball side if need be.

I can say this though that April 15 date that Cal has to report his option of no longer coaching has a lot more significance to me now!

Barnhart isn't f***ing buying out Calipari. It is stupid to even talk about.

Either Cal takes the million per year after this season and goes on to greener pastures or he's going to be here at least a few more years.
Unfortunately, I think you're exactly right. Barnhart is not reactive.at all. It's only when his hand is forced, he does something. But I don't think the money issue is due to any fiscal responsibility on Barnhart's part, if you look at what we pay the coaches of our two premier programs. The fans and boosters have to force the issue and a smattering of boos and angry calls to shows aren't going to do it. Stop going to games, no NIL, stop writing checks to UK period.
