Honestly think about/wonder what some of the old school/vanished posters are doing these days. Wonder if JPuck is still using an 18 year old profile picture to make him seem like a young/fit nurse?

A GYERO Reunion would be very interesting indeed. I know there are numerous old school posters I don't even remember.

Stamps is good, but like the rest of the team hit a g-d wall after about week 7.

I think the key to the upcoming season is not hitting a g-d wall. I hear through sources that the coaches put a lot of emphasis on avoiding g-d walls during the spring, and will continue to work on not hitting a g-d wall during fall camp.

We're friends on facebook, he moved somewhere else, I think New York. I'm still friends with Chauncey on fb as well. Seems to be doing well.

Justa fell off the planet again as well.

Geese has always been great in person. Very friendly and always up for a good convo. Also appreciate his sense of humor and fashion taste.

Somewhere in the last year he's become very angry and thin skinned,or at least he gives off that vibe on here and on twitter.

Hopefully it's just a phase although I love it when he unleashes the ALL CAPS FURY on Mark Coomes.

Always thought NW50 sucked. Had no desire to ever meet him and am glad I missed the Extrav where he attended.

Not encountering you at the extrav was a blessing in disguise. I always hate pretending to be nice to those types of dudes who try so hard to kiss *** to get ahead that you can see the corn kernels in their teeth and smell the *** on their breath.

I'm sure you're a great guy and all, and the people I like seem to like you, but I've never been a fan of the guy who was always JUST good enough to make the team, but strutted around like he was a McDonald's All-American.

NW50 is fine, just tried way too hard to be tough & funny.

He brought me a can of authentic Canadian Gravy to the tailgate. For that, he's always a friend in my book.

-Geese has always been a snarky/outspoken dude, but he truly seems miserable, and has for quite awhile. Hopefully he regains his old self one day, and can actually contribute to GYERO again.

You'll always be my favourite rotund chrome domed Kentuckian, Telly. Geese on the other hand has an enormous head on a laughably feeble, borderline future ALS diagnosis body and is a few years away from the subject of a to catch a predator special.

Matt Elam, SCH. Been here for over a year now and apparently is still a far cry from even being down to "just" 350.

Wish I could write more of the "longform" stuff I used to do. But, alas - work, kids, old, tired, etc. The glory days on here were something, though. Really something ...

We should start a script "we once were titans" about an aging group of internet forum posters who band together to meme, troll, and browbeat the red countries into submission in response to the sony hacking. We could singlehandedly make the 1 million strong north korean army fall on their swords for disgracing their famiries once we were done with them and then ride off into the sunset filled with "daddy daddy daddy" and Dora the Explorer.

Geese is one of my favorites in person. I do think his basketball takes are somewhat overrated mostly because he's so quick to go sideways.

My thing is, if you're going to throw jabs... awesome this is GYERO. Just actually participate in a positive manner. Rob has the hilarious out of left field (somewhat unintentional humor) jabs in place. SAE mixes both passive aggressive/sarcastic quick hitters with solid contributions as well as anyone. Geese's just come off mean and personal.

PTI 2005-2008 was as good as it gets. PTI 2010-2015 is pretty terrible. Has maybe 1-2 good post per year.

Thought I had heard he was in good shape? They were just bragging on him like 2 weeks ago. Is that why I can't get any Uber Ice Cream today. F*cking Elam.

Kyle Tucker is nice enough to do a Periscope of the UK football luncheon. If you can't connect, I'm glad to transcribe for you:

Watching the UK/Florida game last night on SEC Network has me ready.

I turned it off after the late 53 yard field goal to tie it. I assume we won?

I go into the bedroom and tell my wife that I can't believe Tiller dropped a pick six that ricocheted into the UF's receivers hands. Of course, they scored on the next play. Then I cuss Timmons and she just says "why do you do this to yourself"? So I turned it off after Boom when Tecmo Bowl Bo Jackson on em in OT.

This is from a Vaught q & a on another site on Elam:

Question: Just how big is Matt Elam and what do you want his playing weight to be?

Stoops: “If I tell you what I want him at, you will know where he is. I want him about 350. We need to get him down to fighting weight at 350. He is very effective, very athletic, very limber. I remember going to watch him as we were evaluating him and I saw the big men down (on the ground) stretching and pulling legs up and doing things I couldn’t do. He is an athletic guy for how big he is. He is a good player. It is our job to get him to be the best player he can be.”

Anth - what have I posted towards you that was mean and personal on here?
  • Sucking off Andrew Harrison to the point of making a lot of us college basketballs all hate him?
  • Socioeconomic status barbs? That's SAE. Happy for your Loge status, bub.
  • Mocks over, 'I mean it's fine' ad nauseam and your effing post structure?
  • Like a hawk? Ohwaitthatwasrichie.
  • LOL'ing over your webbed feet trend that you preached to GYERO?
  • Graphic t-shirt collection? YOU LET ME WEAR ONE OF YOUR SHIRTS OUT TO A BAR ONE NIGHT AS AN ANTH SCHTICK.

Come on now.

Ohhhhh and BTW --- Honorable mention goes out to Clark - his self-deprecating posts are terrific

Oh great now Geese is sucking off his text chain. Really interested to hear how you compliment Booker & Bonzo, that should be interesting.

lulz

Don't have anything nice to say about Booker and Bonzo doesn't post in GYERO these days so what's there to say? I'll leave that to Richie to throw out the zingers.

You're probably 7th or 8th on my list, BBdK. Maybe stay somewhere else other than the Mayan Riviera next year and you'll vault right back into my Top 5!!

Outside of one tailgate I stopped by with the kids, AGS was the only other poster I ever met. Sold him a kegerator, hope he got some miles out of it.

Anyone remember the capaw get-together at The Spaghetti Factory in Louisville? [laughing]

Can't even remember what it was for, but do vaguely remember it. Must have been 15 years ago. Think JDrum or someone set it up.

I think CMD has his dates off. When did GYERO begin? I ran the Tournament of Babes in the spring of Aught 3 and GYERO hadn't been established then I believe.

CMD is correct, Chief is clueless.

Per usual.

GYERO, in whatever form, was going well before Rivals. Really hit its stride during the UBB era, whatever that was...it was certainly several years before the Tweonz.

Hmmm. That's a first. I was in NYC until fall of 02 and don't remember it from that era. Do remember the Darius Rice recruitment, though that was earlier than 02. Maybe BBBD can weigh in on this.

Not counting TOWCHOP.
