Heading to Luminocity tonight. Basically a giant laser light show at Music Hall/Washington Park in the middle of OTR that has turned into an almost weeklong thing. Plenty of crafites and artisan street truck food as well.

lol hope I don't get shot lol
Be sure to not shut up about it for at least the next 3 months. (I'm pretty sure they'll give you a pamphlet on this, so don't sweat it.)

Went last year. It's cool but too crowded and hard to get a good viewpoint as these losers ie. suburban hens get there at 8am to set up their chairs and reserve space. No real desire to go again. I'm a little OTRed out as it is right now.

One of those outfits needs to brand their small batch hand crafted lemonade. Put the other little rugrat misfits out of business. Win all the market share.

Lass went to something called Henri Bendel. I went for a 10 mile jog thru Central Park. Win/win situation.

I worship running in the park. Place is awesome.

-Been grabbing a iced green tea + lemonade(no additional sweetener) from SBucks. Pretty solid summer drink.

wait I thought the play was to not shut up about it a month before tickets went on sale and then again 2 months before the event? I'm confused.

Wcc- yeah we're meeting down there at 6 so I anticipate all the hens having marked their territory. Free tickets at the last minute though so I'm not really willing to change up my Saturday too much for it. #reasonabletalk

Like to see it with blue facemask but yeah it's nice.

I'd like a helmet with a really oversized state outline on it.

-D Baker looks massive. He's put on even more muscle.

-Reports dun got me silly. Leggo.

Mercy, other than a little rain monday the forecast looks ridic. A couple 75/56 days for you fall honks and the rest 85/62 no rain for 10 days. All sun. Soak it up, and keep bumping August up the power rankings.

Fall is starting to creep in. I took this picture yesterday. According to my buddy in the Forestry Department, it's normal for a Yellow Poplar to be among the first trees to change and drop leaves.

Luminocity was pretty cool. Got there around 6, left out chairs inside the fenced in area the. Spent about an hour and a half at Taft Ale House eating tri tips and sampling crafties. Then walked over to the park, more local crafties and live music and light show. Pretty good set up- good job, Cincinnati.

WTF?

No chance they ran more than 10yds before the photo was taken. So much going on in that photo...

Bald/glasses guy is wearing Chucks(which are fine just not on a football field) with the legendary tanktop/cargo shorts combo all the while holding a bag of what appears to be department store goodies...

Harvey Updyke has a bag of groceries and what looks like on of those mid 90's neck supports linebackers used to wear. Extra point for the free flowing hair, watch out coach Robic.

Other fat guy is wearing nothing resembling a team color, navy cargo pants, and has the fattest calves I've ever seen on anyone short of 400lbs. Look at those poor shoes, they're suffocating. Pastels and croakies? #swAg

Skinny guy in the back is dead on what you'd expect someone to look like at a fan day(I'm assuming this is the fan day rush to get autographs). Predictable he has quite a bit more bounce than the others.

Not working and doing what you want is great. Pretty bold take there, Clark.

Was in the process of typing something to congratulate Clark on his day off when the phone rang. My mom had recently had shoulder surgery, dad thought she was acting funny. Thought maybe she might be loopy from the pain meds and lack of sleep, but told him if she did it again they needed to get checked out with a quickness. 5 minutes later he calls back, she's slurring her words and not making any sense. I'm glad he asked where they should go. No offense to UK hospital, but its August (new residents, fellows, and interns). I've heard great things about the stroke team at Baptist Health, and it was all true. Within 45 minutes off arriving to the ER she's seen the doc, had CT scan, and the neurosurgeon and neuroradiologist had her in the Cath lab.

She went downhill fast. Couldn't understand what was going on or what people were saying to her. Her words made no sense (aphasia). The woman we knew as gone. Because of her recent surgery, she wasn't a candidate for systemic TPA (clot buster). She really only had one chance, and that was a cerebral angiogram and selective small dose injection. Turns out she had a clot in her M3/4 cerebral artery, and the neurointerventional team was able to dissolve it with just a few milligrams of TPA. In less than 30 minutes after the procedure, she went from a drooling vegetable to pretty much completely normal. Pretty much a total miracle, walk off homerun, Hail Mary, Aaron Harrison kind of deal.

Pretty crazy run of emotions. One minute you're thinking of snarky things to say to your wildcat friends, how much beer should I bring on the boat for the big Raftup this weekend, wonder what kind of crazy stuff are we gonna see...to Holy **** my moms having a stroke might die or be a vegetable, to OMG the found the clot dissolved it and now she's back to normal...Praise the lord.

Can't say enough nice things about our experience at Baptist Health. Third night in the ICU tonight, and she probably will go home tomorrow. Almost like nothing happened at all. If you or your loved ones are having symptoms of a stroke, get to a stroke center if possible. Time is tissue, the faster they can intervene the better your chances.

So anyway, Congrats on your days off Clark. I really hope you had a good time.

UK's stroke team, if I remember correctly, sees one of the highest volumes in the country, but I can't imagine it being anywhere near that quick. Good call going to CB. Glad she's ok.

Strokes are the absolute worst. Personal nightmare. Ugh.

Yeah, its pretty surreal. It's bad enough to have to see any patient go through something like that, let alone a family member. Trying to keep your bearing and perspective while the personal side of you is freaking out is tough. Like CB said, strokes are just awful, devastating. She maybe one of the luckiest cases I've ever seen. Pretty much have to give dad the Mvp on this one. If he hadn't been on the ball, the stroke team wouldn't have had the opportunity to work their magic.

Glad to hear that, Doc. My grandmother's stroke was the scariest thing I can remember. Doctors thought she was gone multiple times, but she pulled through perfectly after a long rehab.

And as awful as Roguemocha is on here, I can't describe how awesome he and the entire stroke unit at UK was

All the male sports writers rushing to be the most offended and supportive over this beat writer being hit on.

Yeah, the guy is creep and yeah it sucks that he was using his power to try and wax her. Those douches just fall over themselves to be the most offended victims ever. This isn't about you.

There were tense moments in the cockpit as Delta Flight 1889 crossed the Nebraska-Colorado border and flew right into a weather cell.

Passengers said lightning bolts lit up their windows and one hit the engine. They also said hail the size of baseballs pelted the aircraft.

"Our windshield is pretty severely damaged," the pilot told air traffic control.

While strong winds rolled the airplane 40 degrees, the pilots were virtually flying blind.

"This is Delta 1889. Denver, you need to understand we have no weather radar. That is out too," the pilot said.

I bet Wettcat is pissed that he didn't make it to Salt Lake City.

Wonder how much luck that ex-Minnesota AD actually successfully acquiring tail with his aggressive drunk sexual harassment/texting act?

Guarantee he had at least some, with the power he carried.

-He's a mess, dude if you're going to be a creeper don't put it in text. Jeez.

-Maybe I just needed a show to feel frustrated with. Thats why I decided to watch Ballers.

-For the first time Naked and Afraid really felt overly scripted. They've been teetering all season but last night was the most obvious. Really pissing me off.

-Heading to Cincy in a few, stoked to put on the new Dre album and get a little dangerous in downtown Cincy.

-After the storms today through next week let me know how bad summer sucks? LOL. You idiots get pissy over the 1 or 2 weeks of actual heat that we get when in reality our spring/summer is historically pretty mild.

-I literally cannot order a coffee at SBucks without getting a cake pop. I've tried. Numerous occasions. Too difficult.

-Put down a bottle of champagne with the wifey last night. Been nearly a year since we've done that. Long overdue. Ready for it to happen more often.

-For old time sake I went with Cross Canadian Pandora last night. Good mix up.

2 deep into 'Top of the Lake', with Elizabeth Moss. Seems like the type of show I'd like and the reviews are pretty consistently great. Pretty damn creepy/dark/weird so far...anyone watched?

Also through Season 2 of 'Rectify', another pretty solid watch.

-Don't care if it's 82 degrees from now until Fall, I'm still over summer. In the grand scheme of things, weather is pretty far down the list. Just bored with the routine...with the exception of a few weekends, it's been pretty much the exact same thing since June. It's fine, been a nice summer, just looking forward to the change as always.

Mostly, just beyond ready for REAL sports to begin & some new things to look forward to every week, which is what happens in the fall.

- It's already been established by the most respected posters here that summer sucks, Anth. Give it up.

- I love storms. Keep'm coming.

- So, are backers allowed to wear #s in the 40s now? How can Alvin Dupree rock #48?
