Well I made the mistake of venturing outside during lunch. Coming back into the office was pretty much miserable. It would be nearly impossible to custom make better weather than what we have here today. 78 Sunny. Cool breeze. Low humidity.
Yup. Now imagine there was a whole slate of college football games to watch when you get home :football::cool2::football:[banana]

Chad Ford's Big Board 1.0 is out:

1. Simmons
2. Skal
3. Jaylen Brown
4. Ingram
5. Murray
9. Newman
19. Briscoe

Thursdays are hardest for me. I'm leaving here in about 15, as a matter of fact. Major on the television, some food to grill/bourbon to drink, & the lass works til 9 after being off the last 5 days. #celebrate [smoke]

Friday doesn't bother me b/c it's my busiest day by far.

Wait -- we're actually playing Eastern Michigan up there in a few years?

I thought it was a joke, TS.

[laughing]

WTF? I've been somewhat out of the loop lately but I found this article and this is the picture they used on the header.

Dreary day, empty upper deck, cheesy smoke entrance, offensive lineman already on the ground.... UK Football!

Clickbait is the worst, but I can pretty much spot it at a 95% clip these days.
McIntyre and Travis are the WORST about this. Especially when they act like they have a story and it's just a landing page with a quote and link to the real story. Scumbags.

Petrino is by far my most hated sports personality of all time, player or coach. I'm pretty much a sports hippy nowadays, don't hate anybody but I would personally love to witness his last breath and look him in the eye smiling as he meets his demise. Just an awful human being.

-Yeah, those mid majorish games suck but I assume we'll either buy them out OR with the demand for guaranteed wins shifting the power to the little guys this is what you get in the UL @ UK years. Embarrassing though.

-Newks to go is pretty clutch.

-Mentioned this last night but I've been trending away from utensils and just using my hands. No clue why. WS was appalled a few night ago.

-I can typically handle Thursday but Fridays are brutal. Today though. I'm just not in it. Frustrated, tired, ready for a ride and to sit on the back porch with G. Willing myself to another hour since I'm off tomorrow. Struggle is real.

-Can't wait to watch Simmons, what a stud.

- How would you feel about a Fox-Monk backcourt?o_O:eek::confused:

Trending that way. May be our most dynamic backcourt under Cal.

- Ingram is being overrated. Write it DOWN.

- No clue what to think about Briscoe, his role or his future here.

- True basketballs will HATE watching Newman play next year. He needed to be somewhere with teammates and a coach that would make him share, not on a no-talent team where he can launch all day.

- Psscht, pleez. Thursdays and Fridays are cream cheese. I can see the light.

- August flossin'...giving Anth his lone good take the last few weeks.

- Nothing warms my heart more these days than when you Marrieds get word the wife and/or kids are heading out of town for a weekend. *pounds chest twice for my homiez*

- Cincy/NKys anyone checked out Pi Pizzeria downtown yet?

- Wish I could just change my handle to ":basketball:"

Anyone ever eaten at a Tender Towne? They are building one about 5 minutes from my house. Sounds like a poor man's Cane's.

Pretty much all they do is chicken tenders.

Really like Malnati's buttercrust but will say Pequod's is the best pizza I've ever had in my life.

Craving to get to up to Chicago before the end of summer. My sister/bro in law live there and the lassy's twin lives there as well.

Haven't been since the UCLA beat down weekend right before Christmas. SHEW. What a weekend that was. Ate well. Had a blast partying with The Faithful. Had seats two rows from the floor. My favorite non Final Four UK basketball weekend ever. That 1st half didn't seem real. The basket seemed as big as an ocean. As the score became more and more absurd the buzz in United grew. The national bball personalities all on press row even had this deer in the headlights look.. Goodman, Parrish, Wilbon, Katz, etc. Had the beer vendor on lock bringing us fresh domestos every 20 minutes. Remember looking up at the scoreboard right before the half and cursing to myself that we were witnessing history and it just wasn't going to get any better. Favorite memory from this past season.

Saw the headline earlier on yahoo news - "David Oyelowo to be the next James Bond".

Read halfway down the article to find out they're talking about voicing the Bond character - in an audiobook. o_O

Pi Pizza is pretty good. Went to the one in STL then they opened one here. Assuming you're going with someone else/group, order a "safe" one or two then go with their special- whatever it is. It'll sound gross but be good. Pair with a Rhinegeist on tap, sit back, and enjoy.

Dammit, Powerrr, I wanted to like this, was all ready to pop and then you have to end with "sit back, and enjoy" instead of dropping a "and profit." Way to screw up a good post, loser.

Got tickets to the Handlebar Box for the Reds final series, standard attire or do I need to wear the customary Buckeye Nike Shox with Cargo shorts?

I will give you this, Anfernee, your Ohio Bro Attire take is dead-on. I'd say it's stronger the further north you get (Dayton, Columbus) but it certainly seeps into Cincinnati.

Don't need your condescending approval on my takes, chad.

-80, it's fantastic. Completely redneck but it's easily removable and on my back deck. Sat outside last night without being bitten as well.

Been pushing for a bug zapper for two years.

-Rack Chad on Ingram & Newman, agree 100% on both counts. Ingram seems soft to me, and Newman fits the bill as one of those guys who peaks early. He's no better than OJ Mayo or Austin Rivers.

-Does Richie have a friend or relative in every city or suburb? Bet the guy hasn't stayed in a hotel more than 5 times since he graduated college, always having to come/go from 30min-Hour away no matter if it's New Orleans, Chicago, Charleston, Mexico, wherever. Pretty impressive, really.

I'm all for free crashes (MOOCH!!) in Lexington for a UK game if it saves me from having to drive back or stay sober -- but if I'm going on an actual trip, I want my own space. (if I'm with the wife, she basically demands it)

-Jerry Anneken is the most flip-flopping SOB on the planet. Basically impossible to make an actual bet with him with all his rule changes & misdirection. Anybody know him? [eyeroll]

It's not cheap, making it hard to profit but easy to enjoy. Learn economics.

I call us rednecks and murderers now with this thing. But the mosquitoes on our back deck are awful. George has had two bites already. Luckily he doesn't get the concept of scratching them so they are going away in a day or so, but it's still sad. Hopefully our redneck zapper keeps everyone bite free. Amazon prime, it will be here before you know it, 80.

Have you tried vacuum sealing the dead mosquitos to be extry safe they are gone for good?

We had a new back door installed a few weeks back, which meant we had NO door for a good 2-3 hours, not a good thing in July.

...and we have been battling flies ever since. Just when I think I finally got the last one, another one appears.

<----- professional fly swatter at this point. Haven't missed since the 2nd day. I cuss each one as he/she dies, too.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Simmons struggle a little and begin to receive some OMG THIS GUY WAS PROJECTED # 1 OVERALL??? backlash from the oh-so-clever CBB media herd.

He's not a pure scorer and with Johnny J being a basketball simpleton, I can see him struggling to find the right role. Simmons needs to catch the ball facing and facilitate/filter on down from there but I think with those other 2 bigs declaring he'll be asked to be more of a traditional big/scorer -- which isn't his game at all. Blakeney is gonna want the ball in his hands a lot and that will take away from the Simmons' gift of making others better.

Feel like he's gonna waste away down there for his 1 year in Baton Rouge. Glad he's in the SEC or whatever but I'm guessing I'll see my fair share of LSU games this winter where I'll be SMH at the coaching staff's incompetence..

Agree with all that, but Simmons is 'can't miss' as a prospect imo, and I think the NBA guys will see through all the garbage that will no doubt take place in Baton Rouge.

Think Skal will come out very slow as well. HE'S DEFINITELY NOT ANTHONY DAVIS OR KARL ANTHONY TOWNS. Which is most likely correct, but the masses will instantly compare & come away with the notion that he's not special. :100points:

On the flipside, there will be nonstop Murray-slobbering from Day 1. His feel as a 18 year old is pretty rare stuff, combine that with his arsenal, whew.
