Ha, Wettcat K. Life, enjoy...

-Summer of BBdK's return to decent golf continues.. tied for.2nd currently, 2 back in 54 Hole Club Championship (75). Scores are higher than I've ever seen...Even Par won last year & is typically what it takes...wide open this year. Got it playing close to 7000, and with our small greens it's brutal.

Final group tomorrow with Eli-style galleries near the end, pretty pumped. Low 12 make the cut for next weekend's Final Round.

-#MovingDay

Have always felt that the Wannamaker Trophy is the prettiest trophy in sports. Just seems to look like a grand trophy is supposed to look like imo.

Billy Urschel making a move.

These guys are so good it's silly.

There are THOUSANDS of dudes who shoot 65 in their home tourneys, all the way up to the mini tours & Web.com -- and yet they can't even make the tour.

Even the WORST of the dbags like a Briny Baird...I mean, every one of these guys can get hot and win out here. The talent is just amazing. Take your WORST PGA player and put him against the biggest golf baller you've ever met who shoots 65s like it's a drop in the bucket ----> and it's like Jordan vs. Stacey Poole Jr, TS.

Just crazy how great these guys are. As a "good" golfer myself, it's really hard to fathom sometimes. I've *averaged* about 75/76 this summer, challenge par regularly, and can play just about any course and "compete" to a degree with anyone around here that's not a pro or college/ex competitive baller, and I probably wouldn't break 90 if I played in this thing. Just humbling to even think about.

It would be like playing 1-on-1 with LeBron, pretty much. I seriously don't understand how anyone could be that good at golf

Take this Kevin Waldie dude who won the Eli at -5, tying JB Holmes' record. He's not even good enough to play mini-tour events. Mini tour guys mostly can't even make Web.Com tour despite shooting mid 60s. I know countless ballers who couldn't cut it on mini-tours down south.

And the best Web.com tour guys mostly can't make the PGA Tour despite shooting mid/low 60s every week on legit courses & setups. There are exceptions, but few and far between.

Just crazy.

So what is the difference between the PGA guys and the Web.com guys? They all have great swings, they're all great ball strikers, etc... Is it mental toughness? Being able to shape shots better? Robotic consistency? What?

Hard to tell man. I guess it's mental, dunno. But the difference between a 65 winning average Web.Com guy and a PGA guy is like the difference between the OVC leading 28ppg scorer and Russell Westbrook.

It's hard to explain or fathom, which was the point of my post. I have no clue. I guess it's mental? Honestly have no idea, just know ANY (or most) PGA player is on a different planet as far as golf is concerned, and it's hard to comprehend that these guys are THAT much better than another guy who can shoot 63 on a REAL course, but it's a fact.

hard to take bbdks golf takes seriously. bro was collar popping/brushing shoulders off earlier today via text about Phil Mickelson "competing" in this tourney.

he's currently 9 strokes back. sitting in the clubhouse eating a hoagie. tied for 24th.

compete. lol.

I said he had NINE (9) birdies today, most of his pro major career, which is quite extensive.

Clearly too old to compete though. He's DONE!

...but back to my point, smh at these guys. 5/6/7 under today is what's getting it done, LOL.

Poor DJ shot 66 Thursday, +1 yesterday, and is -4 today...-9 for the tournament at a beast of a course (presumably) and is 7 Strokes off the lead. LOL.

Re: Phil -

I think he will grind it out to finish Top 3.*

*I don't really think he will, I think that is what he is thinking. But I really didn't say this.....at all.

He's not competing NOW, you fool. He's 11 freaking strokes back and in 24th place.

Can he compete in other majors?? Absolutely. But he barely even made the cut. Cruising thru one awesome round and being a complete non factor on the leaderboard hardly constitutes competing. If you're going to puff your chest out about him competing, it would be better to do do when he's actually competing.

When it comes to the bottom PGA guys vs. the minor tours, it's luck. Has to be.

It also probably helps to have a hot wife or girlfriend. Seems like that is a requirement as well.

7500 yards, several very narrow fairways, some fairly thick rough especially around the greens, and these guys are *** raping the course. If the course isn't tricked up, the greens roll smoothly, and the weather is nice, these guys crush...always. It's unreal.

So 24th place and 9 birdies isn't competing? What?

- if you get off these fairways you're lucky to get bogie. PGA isn't my favorite but I do enjoy the excitement with scoring. I mean you have a final round 63 possibly out there.

Watched almost none of today. Going to watch live the next 3 hours.

*It was hotter than hades at Whistling Straits yesterday. What little wind there was did not come off the lake.

*Storm that hit the course was crazy. Co-worker and I left about 20 minutes before the storm. Others who got caught on the course said it was hysteria. Ripped the top off the merchandise tent. Flipped porta-potties. Destroyed the main scoreboard.

*This morning, other than a downed tree in the parking lot and the scoreboard being gone, you would never know anything happened.

*Lost my pairing card but the guy to go off first this morning had no one paired with him. To help with pace, they had someone ay with him. Poor dude was so nervous and sweating so bad that he soaked his shirt and they had to give him a new one after the 8th hole. Guy was having what was probably the experience of a lifetime and people heckled him the whole way because he wasn't the same level as the pros.

*Wind made a difference today, coming off the lake. Ball was carrying much, much farther.

*After 4 days of walking around on the course, I may finally be black like Huber said.

.

He's TEN strokes off the lead. In 24th place. Made the cut right on the number. Was never closer than 5 strokes off the lead. You think that's competing? For what?? A top 10?

I guess Jason Bohn and Brendan Steele are "competing" for the Wanamaker too. Don't look now Jason Day, those guys are right behind you!!!

Yes. I do. In most tournaments top 25 is still within striking distance.

If you mean he's competing for top 10, maybe. He's 10 strokes behind the leader, 8 behind Speith, 7 behind 3 others in third, etc. Maybe if this were the Shell Open or St. Jude's Classic he would have a shot at competing but come Sunday at a Major you better be within shouting distance and Phil is nowhere close to that.

Yeah, I only said it was 50 gallons and not that big a million times.

And while I have your attention, why in the hell are you trying to pick a fight with Cawood?

Flipping back and forth between PGA and Baylor/TCU shootout from last year. I'm hoping our offense is going to look a lot like Baylor's. Won't be as prolific but I think you will see us go downfield like them.
