There are a shitload of mosquitos around this year, though. I hate those little touchers. I got eaten up mowing last night.

I get that some people don't like it when it's hot, but the nurses here today have been talking about how they all are so ready for winter and the snow. Touch that. I stand by my position that the only reason you like snow is because it gives you an easy built-in excuse for sitting on the couch, watching TV and not exercising.

- Matt Kuchar seems like a nice enough guy. Have no clue why he gets booed on every hole. #whatgives?

- I love Yard House. Ridic beer list. Good atmosphere. Excellent TV set up. Decent food.

- Really am rooting for Day. Dude grew up dirt poor and he's due one.

He's one of the coaches and is dating my aunt. He pitched for Bowling Green, UK and has a 6 or 7 year tour in the MLB. I'm sure he's the reason my cousins breaking ball is so nasty.

Yeah, but you have to admit that up there, they are expecting winter by now. I have to say that I just spent 5 nights in your fine city and I'm not sure I've ever seen so much....white trash. I can't think of a better description at the moment. However, they were very entertaining in the parking lot at Miller Park last night. I wonder how many pay $15 to park just to have a place to "party" and don't even have tickets to go into the game.

Everybody still playing today was being competitive, only a few were competing for the big trophy and it wasn't anybody sitting in the 25th position to start the day. Phil went on a nice run yesterday on the back 9 which got Anth all excited, I understand. It was fun as hell to watch but he was never in competition to win the damn thing.

That was actually one of his his few knee jerk, bad take, reactions. Happens to the best of them, Adrian excluded of course, IMO

Exactly. PTI is using the wrong tournament and time to back up his bet. Phil just turned in one of his best rounds ever and had he pulled a Thursday AM draw he may have been right there. I don't know how you can look at a top 25 finish in a MAJOR as anything but competing. So the 138 people who didn't have a chance should have just never started? Phil is still plenty capable of winning a major.

Rory goes Ofer in the majors this year and drops his #1. Turns 27 in 8 months. To catch tiger I figure he's going to have to get at least 8 of the next 40(10 years). 20%. That's a pretty good clip with the ridiculous depth in talent.

With career majors, history has proven for a century, you're going to win more often than not when you take the under. I think Tiger really skewed people's appreciation for the achievement.

What I should of said, "imagine Spieth with Jason Day, Rory or Djs length." Shew. Day had multiple 360+ this week. Put his putting on that. Yikes.

this entire ordeal started over a bet about WINNING majors. so pardon me if you don't see the irony in puffing out your chest over a performance such as phils this weekend.

if the bet concerned playing well, or posting a top 20, it may be a different story. but when the wager is about WINNING, then why would any of you idiots tongue in cheek text me = "he's too old to compete. no chance of ever winning again because he's 40."

he played a nice tourney overall, and especially the last 2 days. has all kinds of game. but he had ZERO chance of winning. wasn't even in the discussion. they don't carve your name on the Wanamaker under the inscription "played really well the last two days and had a nice little run on Saturday especially wasn't really a factor in winning but if he'd have had a better start on Thursday he'd have been right in it maybe kind of sort of possibly take it easy on him he's old okay."

If you haven't been watching "Mr. Robot" on USA, find some way to immediately catch up. And don't look at any spoilers. This show is effing bonkers. I have no idea how or why it ended up on USA, but they have struck gold.

Pretty much, and HE has made that exact same post above mocking it at least 20 times over the past few years.

Cable bill sucks, but not having it and having to stress out and go through a different process to watch a TV show (sporting event) = no way. Luckily we both work, so having cable/dish is just one of those EXTREME luxuries we are able to justify at our age.

Counting on a stream to watch college sports & UK games? Not in a million years...


-Day shot -20 with 7 bogeys and 1 Double. [laughing] Jesus.

-Damion Lee is really good. From what I can tell from those grainy steaming highlights, that stroke is just butter. Probably average 18-20 if I had to guess. They'll still be marginal, but take him off that team and they are NIT all the way. What a fortunate pickup.

-I'll be watching Auburn/UofL with similar fervor to that of a UK game. I can't think of a better way to start off CFB than watching them get PUMPED. Please happen.

Never understood cable cutting hype. The heck with that nonsense.

When I get home from work and I want to watch the Cats play on a Tuesday I want to point/click. Before I head to Lex on a Saturday in the fall I like to point/click and set the DVR so I can watch the replay on Sunday. When we get back from Lex on Saturday night I enjoy scanning all of the games on ESPN, ESPNU, ESPN 2, SEC Network, ABC Primetime etc.

If I know another game is going on that is of interest while we are playing like switching during a timeout .

Setting up ROKU, CHROMECAST, STREAMING WATCH ESPN APP VIA TABLET, REMEMBER APPLETV PASSCODE, WTF THE SIGNAL IS LOST, NO ABC SPORTS ISNT ON NETFLIX sounds like a royal pain in the ***.

What about waking up on Sunday and watching the highlights?

I'll continue to pay for cable. Thanks.

-Auburn's helmet is dope. Good colors. Clean logo. About perfect, IMO.

-Great weekend. Brother's for dinner Friday night. Lakeside both days. Porcini patio Saturday night. Football is less than 3 weeks away. Late summer is nice.

-Charlie had UofL's uniforms/helmet about as good as it could get. I was somewhat jealous. Nice to see Bobby ruin it in such a timely fashion.

Also, if you haven't seen the paint job they did to the roof at PJCS... woof. Really, really bad.

-Lexington has to be a good roadie for SEC fans, especially the October games. Out of curiosity I usually search twitter during those weekends to see what those folks are saying... always positive. Funny to see folks get turnt about their upcoming roadie to Bluegrass country.

-Very close high school friend of mine died pretty tragically last week. Some friends have had late miscarriages. Just a run of bad stuff, really. Amazing how fragile it all really is.

-Killing off my front yard this week. Been a mess since we bought the house in 2012.

-Think we're headed to LBL this weekend. Need my folks to step up on the babysitting front. Haven't been to a lake in 3 summers.

I expect something like that from Adam, not PTI(pti). Very unfortunate development.

...and before Chad chimes in with his usual PTI(pti) defense, yes, I *DO* care about my friends' TV setups/preferences, very deeply. Especially as it pertains to sports, which is pretty much the main ingredient to how I respect men.

I spent a good amount of time in Madison back when I was slanging advertising. I enjoyed that town, but I was 22 years old with a company credit card- so it may actually suck and I never knew it. My one trip to a Brewers game was a real hoot though- whoever said "white trash" was pretty spot on.

If the Tiger Woods era of domination was the most exciting time to watch golf, this year hasnt been too far behind. Day, Spieth, DJ, Fowler, Rory- and guys like Koepka who dont get nearly the attention they should yet... talent level is unreal.

Another first day of college. Pretty ho-hum as I was hoping I wouldnt be working here at this point but whatever.

Tough to beat a late night wendy's frosty. Grabbed one on the way home from work last night. If you get the urge to mix the choco and vanilla... man. Out of this world.

The Today Show, which as some point years ago decided to become basically a mature version of TMZ, ran a story hating on an Alabama Sorority for their recruitment video which featured girls that were apparently too attractive and having too much fun in the video. Do people not realize all of those videos are the same? Did they even google Arizona Sorority Video, because I guarantee those are more risque...
