-I used to get Lenny's all the time in Hermitage. It was near my furst Nashville apartment. Where is the one in Louisville?

When does Jersey Mike's open in Lex?

-The tailgate crowd was great. I think thenewcws.com had something to do with it, along with the beginning of the season UK Football hope.

Everyone did a great job contributing food and cleaning up. Thanks!

-I'm going to need some assistance for the Florida tailgate for sure since Anth will be at the Bike to Beat Cancer most of the day, along with both grandmas.

Anth also says I shouldn't make Gator Gumbo because it's never worked in the past to get us a win, superstitions don't work anymore after the Final Four and it'll be tough to make a proper roux with a newborn. Thoughts?

Hump Day afternoon randoms:

- Growing out the beard as of last Thursday, plan is to keep it until after the birth of RCH so I'm bearded in all the newborn pics

- Steve Earle last night, one of my favorite artists and the show didn't disappoint, dudes a virtuoso

- down for helping with any cooking for the UF game, even considered making a big batch of jambalaya for it if we go cajun

- busy does not even begin to describe things right now, of course the better halfs car breaks down mid-day

- GAA got whipped on Saturday by the blitz, on more than one play he tried to block two guys and ended up blocking none. Freshman mistake. As for Towles, he was making freshman mistakes too as a 4th year JR, better get that cleaned up in a hurry.

- was considering a Bevin vote even though I don't like him, no way I will vote for him now. Likely going with Curtis, though I might go with that Gatewood Lone Stranger dude just for the hell of it.

- Been watching the Burns Cival War the last couple of weeks in my spare time, two episodes left. B$ doesn't appreciate it like I do. If you like that, watch the Burns doc on NYC, that is probably my favorite in that genre of all time.

- I've pissed off Sloot multiple times in the past, mostly for the smoking of things she doesn't approve on vacations. But Saturday post game was the first time I've seen her irrational, we all have our moments I guess. In 17 years of knowing sloot that is the first time I've seen here have one like that, pretty sure that is what caught everyone off guard.

- Heading to the lake this weekend for some musky fishing, can't effing wait.

The big impressive food spreads are overrated IMO. The food item I ate the most of were the Cane's fingers the Beans brought, which is typically the case. I don't expect a five star dining experience. Just give me something decent to soak up the beer and I'm good.

Team beard for probably 6 months out of the year.

At heart, WS is a south end Louisville girl. You can take the girl away from the south end, but cant take it out of the girl. Guarantee she can get hood in a split second. Suppressing it for a couple of decades and acting all nice and lady-like only builds up the monster.

Atomic Cafe closing? It was never a favorite but I think everyone had at least a few good times there. Also apparently they served food, too...

Richie did us solid with the Indi's HAHHHT wings.

Good work, brah.

Also want to pat myself on the back for the dope oreo cake balls I helped LSAT make. I could have eaten all of them, TS.

Ronda Rousey is set to star in a Road House remake. She will play Patrick Swayze's role.

Absolute blasphemy. So disgusted right now.

- Speaking of disgusting human beings, I need to check out ABH's new pad one of these days.

- My problem is that I eat way too damn much at Sloot's tailgates. It F's me up more than the alcohol. I eat the main course and then graze for 7 straight hours. I'm not worth a **** later on. No discipline.

- I don't even want to tell you where I'll be for the Florida game.

- [laughing] Richie LOVES bringing Indi's.

- Was never a huge Atomic fan (too many Transy kids for one thing, weird layout for another), but it definitely had it's place in the summer with the reggae and such.

I understand what they were going for with the Breeder's Cup coming to town and making downtown more accessible on foot, but about 3 weeks into it Short St. is a complete mess.

Hollywood should remade terrible movies/TV shows with good concepts. Leave the good **** alone. They're planning to remake "Big Trouble in Little China," and it absolutely infuriates me.

Example - A remake of "Greatest American Hero" is an absolute no-brainer and I'm amazed it hasn't been done. Normal guy is given a suit with powers by aliens but loses the instructions. He teams up with the government to do good but screws up a lot. The original show stunk, but the concept is great (and the theme song is one of the best ones ever made).

Let me guess, Channing Tatum as Jack Burton.

Jennifer Lopze as Gracie Law.

Steven Yuen as Lo Pan.

Nope - the Rock as Jack Burton! I like the Rock, but it won't work. The great joke behind "BTILC" is that Jack Burton was actually the idiot sidekick and never realized it. There's no way in hell that will be part of any remake.

I can't speak for when wildcatchad was at UK but we rarely ever hit up Atomic while I was at Transy. Food was MEH and the bar scene wasn't anything special back in mid 2000's. I mean, we'd go there occasionally to mix things up but it was more Hideaway(RIP)/McCarthy's/Harvey's/Redmon's than anything.

A lot of those 80s movies are hard to remake because they were a product of their time - full of cheese and cocaine and weird. There's too much GD irony now to make something like "Bloodsport" or "Buckaroo Bonzai."

I would love for 80 to make his jambalaya if he's got time.

I'm also pretty sure a late kick means people eat less. They are concentrating on their buzz, not food. Early kicks with a post game celebraish is when the food gets destroyed. There were times last season I didn't get to eat anything because I stayed for the entire game and people had mowed through everything.

Atomic was a once/twice per summer deal...always hated the layout, and was always cramped AF.

'FlexCrew' or whatever band was dope, though.
