My ballcap game has been neutralized by the shaven head. Just doesn't look right. Howevah, my beanie/sock hat/toboggan game is forecasting strong come winter.

Business casual is the absolute worst. Give me shirt & tie all/air. It's so much easier to just throw a white or blue shirt on paired with a tie and slacks. Also, there's little room for sloppiness.

Folks need to wake the F up in life imo.

Meh, it depends on what you're doing & where you are. My mostly blue-collar book in Valley Station has no interest in dealing with a man in a suit, which is perfectly fine with me. I'd probably LOSE clients for that, TS.

I'll throw on one for a commercial apt, networking deal, or a huge account on the other end of town, but more times than not it just leads to "Got an interview today lol" jokes.

Wearing a suit every day at RBT sucked ***.

SAE should probably get over himself, imo.

* Will be at PJCS this evening... so go ahead and take Louisville and you can leave off the points, because they are winning.

* Just not sure about Florida or what we are going to get out of them. Everyone is bashing them and McElwain (who I think will be a solid coach there). And its not like we are a model of consistency either. We still have a very average quarterback and an average offensive line. And despite being down on talent, Florida still has more talent than they know what to do with. The atmosphere will be great and all, just don't see how we score enough and keep our defense off of the field to win.

* That JD Harmon tackle was the most non-Kentucky play that I have ever seen. Made up serious ground on an elite SEC receiver + took a perfect angle + didn't try to arm tackle + complete a huge goal line stop. I'm not sure I have ever seen a player in a UK jersey do that before.

Lolz. I just like wearing a shirt and tie, bub. Relax. You're fine in your khakis and golf shirt.

-On the Connor Mitch injury play one of the DL just, almost needlessly, blew up a SC player in the backfield. Was fantastic. Also, the late 2nd half TD where we aggressively went down the field was telling. Just a great coaching staff, IMO (including Dawson).

MCF definitely is Debbie Downer. Dude is the most pessimistic fan ever. Him and Joshie. Those two together at a game makes me want to give up sports and watch ballet.

I may be naïve, but I really do believe our home field advantage has improved fairly significantly with the renovations. Just a far more imposing environment, at least structurally. If the fans bring it (we will), that place could really become a snakepit. We'll see.

Fans need to bring it on first and second down as well. Not just third down which has been the case for 50+ years. I got sucked in and was just as guilty in third down only noise.

I think we beat Florida by 2 TDs. F*** em. Guarantee their players are looking squarely past this game.
Tend to agree. McElwain may get UF rolling again but I don't see it with this team. He just embarrassed a team leader after a touchdown and for no real reason. At least not compared to his reaction. Taylor didn't even seem to be talking back. Then he apologizes but still demotes Taylor to 3rd string?

I don't know that they're looking at UT I just don't think they're going to have it mentally(or give enough *****) until he gets more of his own guys in there. That has team divide/disaster written all over it.

-I think the non-FCC words are more of a gyero thing and not the rest of the boards.

Anth, football players get reamed on the sideline over and over again, especially for avoidable, stupid mistakes.

I'm sorry that it upset you, but I promise it wasn't a big deal with the team. Like, at all.
Players don't get reamed like that all the time. It's been on Sportscenter all week and JM apologized publicly saying it was overboard and it was. Just like your tie take, you're wrong. Tough morning for you.

Tend to agree with SAE here...think the entire thing is silly & overblown. He apologized b/c the media basically made him at least address it, and he's BRAND NEW with zero clout down there -- so he was just being extry careful, imo.

ESPN also reported the ever loving **** out of Cal fighting with Cousins, embarrassing Jones, and completely mocking Randle...

You're right, it'll probably help them find some fight and be a reason. They probably like being in the news all week for it. I don't really care that he did it, I'm just saying I wouldn't think that's the way to getting a floundering team to react the way you want. Also that overreaction just didn't develop. That's coming from somewhere else. So if you think it's just business as normal, good for you. I don't see it that way and I don't see it on Sportscenter every day with the other big programs.

everything is overblown these days. even the fact things are overblown is getting overblown, imo

I know I'm an old now because I feel comfortable in a suit. In fact, I hate "business casual" like the dickens. Either khakis/button down or a suit for me. Wardrobe really expands in the winter when I add sweater to the mix. The more you know.

Yea, it's painstakingly obvious here that your never having been yelled at by a football coach is clouding your judgment. It can be scary, bub. Startling, even. But the kid is fine and knows he's still a Gator.

There's certainly a line, but JEEZUS, does it have to be a national story every time a coach chews out a player? I still remember 5-foot-nothing Lou Holtz going out on the field and grabbing a 6'6" tightend's facemask and dragging him off the field after a personal foul flag at ND. It's called coaching and it's necessary ESPECIALLY in football and especially when a coach is trying to install a new attitude. The kid was being a knucklehead and he got his *** rightfully chewed. I liked it, personally. Just like I liked it when Calipari got in Jones' *** for being a selfish MFer.

-Polo or oxford and slacks as a contractor this puts me in the top 1% as it is so no blazer needed in the office.
Yep, if I showed up on a jobsite wearing a tie, much less a blazer, I would get mocked and no one would take me seriously.

I don't mind dressing up when I'm meeting with the attorneys, bankers, accountants, etc... but no need for it in my day-to-day life.

Where did I say he would be kicked off? He was demoted to 3rd string.

Obvious that McElwain is having issues that we can't see, because like I said that reaction was coming from deeper than that penalty and this is the place he's choosing to make his stand. Stoops did it with Sanders and those guys on Senior Day if I remember correctly. Not unheard of for a new coach to come in and have to pull this move but I don't think it's just biz as usual. I get it, I'm just glad it's going on with UF and not on our sideline(huddle). That's all I'm saying.

- "Speaking from a position of knowledge " is a great line. Really like that.

- Of course Commonwealth's capacity went down but it definitely seems bigger and more imposing with the new suite tower/press box. Also, those 2 blue walls on both ends help contain sound.

- Keep trying to imagine what Saturday's atmosphere is going to be like. Probably unlike anything we've seen since UL in 07. As the kids say today.. Place gonna be lit.

Ha. I don't care that he yelled at the dude you f*cking waterhead. Never said that I had a problem with it. I've been yelled at by plenty of coaches and people. Just because I wasn't a backup HS WR doesn't mean I don't understand sports and that relationship with coaches. Had Trinity's current principle run me until I puked and then ran me for another 30 minutes doing suicides on the soccer field. Dog cussing me the entire time. I never pants a dude at a busy intersection again.

I love when Stoops breaks one off in the dudes. Same with Cal. I've said the entire time that I think it was overboard for the situation indicating there's deeper issues. Obviously, I'm not the only one.

If you don't understand that, I don't know what to tell you.

Business casual is the absolute worst. Give me shirt & tie all/air. It's so much easier to just throw a white or blue shirt on paired with a tie and slacks.

The plight of picking navy, brown, charcoal, or black slacks to combine with either a solid or patterned (checkered or pin-stripe) dress shirt is just overwhelming. Then you have to figure out which socks to wear, the right color belt, and even which shoes complete the ensemble. And to make matters worse, you might even have to pick a blazer or sports coat to top it off ----> wow. I'm not sure how people do it, honestly.

Nailed that take. :eek:kay:

Anth needs to calm down JMO.

And FTR, I'm Mr. Sunshine now that the twins are gonzo. Love the incoming basketball team and their potential and love the football team and their attitude. Dorian Baker may be my favorite player since Tamme.

That meltdown was interesting to me because it's the kind of thing a coach does when there are bigger issues afoot. He was pretty pissed after the game, too. Kind of a "this team still doesn't get it and they're due to faceplant if they aren't careful" attitude. I really don't think that was a very good ECU team they struggled with.

2nd & goal timeout late in the 2nd quarter right before Towles TD.. Camera focuses in on the sideline where Stoops and Dawson are deliberating on what to do...

Dawson stands there calmly with **** eating grin on his face looking at Stoops like he absolutely knows there going to score here it just depends on what they dial up.
