Missed this place. Missed all of you guys. And while I wish I could have recovered Blind Karl Hess, it wasn't meant to be. Justin and I are pretty tight, so hopefully I'll get mod privileges soon and bail you guys out if need be.

Is the culture changing with UK football? Maybe. I guess from being a non-athlete I have no idea how long it takes to shake habits of losing when losing has been ingrained into your culture for years. One thing I do know is that I'm not used to seeing Kentucky win that Louisiana game after giving up 23 unanswered points or winning that South Carolina game after they cut it to a 2-point conversion. That they're finding ways to not lose these games after years of ripping our hearts out gives me hope that they're moving in the right direction. Next thing Stoops needs to tweak is his halftime speeches.

As for Florida, while I don't think we're going to beat them, the phrase I'm seeing a lot in the Twitter discussion of that team is "culture of entitlement", which makes sense. And all the stuff you guys have said about Florida makes sense too. McElwain can't change that in 3 games and he'll be lucky to put a dent in it after a year. And ESPN in the last hour has put out a column on how the wheels for the problems down there got set in motion as far back as 2009.

The timing of this is pretty bad, but I don't care because I was gone for 5 months - the basketball team ought to be pretty fun and largely goof-free, huh? Can't stand basketball teams with goofs on them. Can't trust a goof when pressure's on. I'm thinking they drop a couple early on, Isaiah Briscoe figures it out around the same time Marquis Teague did in 2012 and it's off to the races. Brisoce to me looks to be for Cal what Mega Man 2 was for me - Extremely challenging, but incredibly fun and rewarding.

If you have to get a new wheelchair for a person, make sure the old one has 6 months left in it. If not, things get bad. Real bad. Like..."can't move" bad. But I'm OK now. Just know that between the old chair, the new chair and the car, I wouldn't wish my last 6 months on any of you except for Gog.

Another basketball point that I'm sure has been made numerous times during my absence - Maryland #1? That means the bar is awfully low. I've always liked Mark Turgeon. During one of those horrible final Tubby days where I threatened to run him over with my car I remember extolling the virtues of Mark Turgeon. He hasn't gotten out of the first weekend since, but that's cool. I still think he's good, just a little whiny. Melo Trimble is good. Jake Layman is good. Rasheed Sulaimon and Robert Carter should be impact transfers - at least one of them should. But Jamal Murray abused Melo Trimble so badly in the Pan-Am Games that Team USA coach Mark Few ([eyeroll]) couldn't keep him on the court. And yeah, that's a small sample size, but unless they have just unreal chemistry, I don't see a top team in the country when I look at Maryland.

Here's my political take for this year, since I've had such a fun time trying to get the government to help me finance my wheelchair and car additions - anybody already in office who's running this year, get out. You suck. You proved the world that you suck, and it's time for somebody else to get in there and suck.

Louisville's defense is averaging something like 34 ppg in their last 8 games. Clemson covers whatever the spread is tonight, I don't care how much HOF IF NOT WHEN BOBBY has his back against the wall.

28-24 Florida. I want to be wrong so you can make fun of me. But it hasn't happened since the year I was born. Take time off from this network every now and then. Can't stress enough how important this is. Makes coming back so much more fun. Pretty neat stuff ahead in the future. Congratulations to everybody who had kids. Board it.
