Talked to Jared at the golf tourney this week. He said his personal best throw was 82 yards in the air.

I like Towles a lot. I think he's a leader. Plays damn hard. Has a ton of talent. It's easy for me to live with his mistakes and slight inadequacies as a result.

However, I am curious about Barker in a "wonder what the fuss is about" kind of way. Towles is still the clear choice, but I'd like to at least see Drew play a bit.

^ Agree with all of this. Still surprised we didn't see Barker on like the 3rd series of ULM, and a random one in the 2nd half just to get him some reps.

-I think if we had scored on ULL and gone up by 30 in the 3rd Qtr we would have seen Barker but the staff was pretty clear that Towles is the guy this year.

Personally, I'm fine with the staff having named a starting QB, who still clearly needs reps, and sticking with him the whole time, given that both of our games have been close. I mean there's some real intrigue switching QBs in the middle of drives and having two on the field at once and stuff, and I get some people like that, but I guess I'm old school in wanting the starters to get game action together when they're still relatively young.

^Exactly. If we had scored one more then I really think we would have seen Barker but I'm not cool just throwing him out there right now.

Yeah, no Fireball this year, William. Your puking made the drive an extra half hour.

Sorry to inconvenience you. I sort of didn't enjoy it, either.

I'll be heading straight to a family Oktoberfest this time, so I will keep it somewhat reasonable.

But I will drink some Fireball. I'm sure. Or maybe Blackhaus. I plan to be hover somewhere between the Bouncing Bonzo and Rapping Adrian levels without hitting the Fayetteville Cool Cat zone.

I took a shot of warm fireball at the ULL game around the start of the 2nd quarter. I came pretty close to throwing up in Geese's Dad's lap. Go Cats!

I would have been fine with it on the 3rd series of the ULM game, then one early in the 2nd half, per how it usually happens in those instances. I completely understand why he didn't get in down the stretch, obviously.

We blow that lead, which we did anyways, and it's on us.

I would hope not. Again- the starters are all pretty young and getting ready to play a tough schedule. I'd prefer they get all the game reps they can get early on, especially early in the season. We get to EKU and there's some mop up time, fine, put Barker and some others out there.

Some of it is also just rewarding the kid and placing a carrot out there. Again, speaking from a position of knowledge here, a little PT goes a long way with keeping someone engaged during the season.

I wouldn't be your guy there as I never lost to Trinity.

2 year starter and state champion, though. :football:

Taylor is smoke but I can't stand her voice. Just sit there and look hot.

Nitpicking but my girl Kaylee has some Giada body proportions going on.

Was pretty proud of Kaylee when she ran after Bobby un-phased for her final question after he blew her off and started jogging towards the tunnel at halftime.

She's coming into her own as more than just a little bobblehead.

hey if he's true blue and all in like he should be he'll be just happy learning the game from the sidelines until it's time for some payback against liller brother just imo

Not following- what's the problem?
Giada -> big head, short arms. Like BBdk said, almost a bobble head.

Again, my love for Kaylee is well documented. Just nitpicking. She's a smart girl, not going to be bullied or thrown off like these other ditzs.

...and yes, Sam Ponder is developing curves. That's the difference. She's unreal this year.

I disagree with that. If you can't even indict him, then you should've left him alone. It's easy as f*ck to get someone indicted.
Eh, life sucks sometimes. I certainly think he got screwed but I can't blame UK. College's, athletes and coaches are getting scorched over this stuff so taking a chance puts them out there.

But yeah, I get why they parted ways. Not that it's right, just understand the call.

With girls like Ponder I sometimes think about how GD nervous I'd be if I ever, like if the world went completely apey, got her number and was texted/talking about getting together sometime.

I mean, I probably couldn't even do it. I struggled at times with putting reasonably attractive girls at UK on pedestals. That type of world class talent? Forget it. My communication would be so bad and ill-conceived I get anxiety even thinking about it. Imagine the brass (or money, professional sports career, etc.) it requires to take something like that down... Like taming a beautiful stallion on the open range.

I mean, let's assume that some average dickwad like me was actually in a relationship with someone like that. I'd be a maniacal lunatic in public with her. The insecurity would runneth over. I would be her psycho ex-boyfriend 5 minutes into the first ESPN event we attended together. "WHO TF WAS THAT GUY?" I'd likely spend the rest of my life stuck like some self-fulfilling prophecy with every normal girl I tried to date. I'd just be permanently typecast as that lunatic, overzealous boyfriend, and I wouldn't be able to break free of it without professional help.

Seriously, if, in that completely apey, upside down universe, I somehow procured that creature's phone number it would be best for everyone if I just deleted it there on the spot. The mental trauma of it all would be too much.

I get it too...it's because they're pussies. Doesn't mean I hate them for it, but I have no hesitation in saying they were wrong.

The guy was wrongfully accused, and then his own University booted him because they were scared of a theoretical ******** backlash. Have some backbone. What they should have done is said he wasn't indicted and has been cleared of any and all charges, so we are accepting that he is innocent and will treat him as such.
