Just because Anth is a casual fan doesn't mean WS is. Pretty well documented, she always stays till the battle is won...errr the game is over.

There was a little post game last week. Eventually locked the door after midnight. Newborns make ya tired, just a fact.

Me and G survived the week alone somehow. Lots of naps and visits from friends/family.

I'm ready for Mizzou tomorrow. I hope I'm not the only one at the game though. On my run earlier, I did see lots of tents set up and the Cooper spots were basically full at 1230p.

Yea I mean I guess Peter and the early disciples, upon Jesus' direction to build his church, should have stuck with some precast concrete and siding. Ball Homes probably had a sensible floorplan that would have worked, actually.

Not sure if you were aware, but there have been quite a few (corrupt) folks running the Catholic Church between Peter and Pope Fran. Peter didn't have anything to do with building the monstrosity that is the Vatican.

Don't get offended, I'm not attacking your faith. Just the people running it for centuries. Pretty well established that the Catholic Church was run by some evil *** folks for a loooooong time. Not to mention the harboring of child molesters. How many centuries was that going on for?

No Pope sightings Gatton, but I do see Peter Dinklage walking his bigass dog from time to time. Similar?

Sell it on StubHub you dolt.

I sold my marginal tix in under 30 minutes for the same price as your parking pass (per ticket)

That's why you price accordingly. List for $105, sell, profit $90.

Or more. You'll be the ONLY parking pass on there currently, it will sell by tonight. :100points:

StubHub is the most user-friendly/easy site I can think of...it's outstanding, imo. Yes, they take a small cut...but they handle (and guarantee) absolutely everything.

I will say this about Catholics- at least we don't treat Jesus like some cool guy who lives down the street or some divine mascot like many Protestants tend to do. I'm not a very formal guy but I appreciate it in religion. That's one thing that annoys me about Baptist types.

Yep, because of all of his teachings and the way he lived his life showed -- he was definitely formal!

The super duper formality and gaudiness of religion that you claim to appreciate is the one thing (among others) that Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for....

GOOD STUFF.

You keep texting me, begging me to bring you goetta but then dissing it on here. Do you really need Anth's approval for everything you do?

Use one of your own MRI machines to help find your spine for Christ sake.

I don't think you are worthy of Glier's… the official brat, mett and goetta of the Cincinnati Bengals. I bought you a pound, but it's gonna be a game time decision on if it gets left at Chad's or not.

Your lass loves goetta. I'm sure nothing would make her happier than to come home from her road trip to find some in the fridge.

While I agree with WCC that the corny protestant pop culture preacher is the most annoying person in the world. I don't think Jesus intended for his word to be preached in these massive ridiculous churches. Joshy nailed that.

Brooks, absolutely bud. Love to have her. G can get his flirt on.

Bob, take a break.

In the church's view it was their duty to convert heathens and the cathedrals aided in that greatly

The grandeur of cathedrals was a recruiting tactic for new members as the church created otherworldly environments for peasants to behold. To the mideval schlub, any organization that had the capability to build those structures clearly knew something beyond man's worldly knowledge and should be listened to.

Since almost everyone was illiterate, it also helped that the stories the church were trying to impart were integral to the decoration of the cathedral. (A nice double-whammy to use the context of the otherworldly space to assert their claims.)

Ancient cathedrals are still impressive today for tourists (whom fly through the air in metal tubes to see them). Imagine how impressive they were to mideval peasants who were covered in filth at all times.
