Yeah Adam Edelen losing says alot. One of the dems up and comers, the incumbent, with name recognition etc. Running for a state wide office that dems have always won, and gets beat by a no name.
These state wide offices have always been owned by the dems. The only exceptions are Richie and comer, other than that all dems for 100 years.

There's pretty much no one left standing to make a legitimate run at Rand Paul. Edelen was their golden boy. Still shocked he lost.

Not to get too political but if this isn't a referendum against Obama politics I don't know what it is. No way Bevin should have won (2nd Rep. Govenor in what 40 years), no way the other Pubs should have carried, and my County(Marshall) just voted in the first Rep. Candidate to be Judge Executive in 40 years. At least now we get Jones on KSR for the foreseeable future

The news said he spent over $600,000, while his opponent spent $27,000. [laughing]

Hello Matt Jones, this is KSr, don't worry we kept your seat warm. Nice to have you back.

Some Chief-esque storytelling here, Master P took down MJ, per Master P :joy:

According to Master P, his son (better known as Lil’ Romeo) was attending one of Jordan’s famous basketball camps when something went awry. “[Jordan] was like, “Man, you can’t wear them P. Miller shoes in here, you need to have on Jordans,'” P said. But instead of simply complying with M.J.’s request, Romeo put in a call to pops, who flew down to the camp the very next day. “I’m like, ‘Man, he ain’t about to take no shoes off,'” P said. What happened next is literally the last thing you’d expect. According to Master P, he challenged Jordan and his crew to a pick-up game which saw P team up with college prospects like Gilbert Arenas and Metta World Peace (then Ron Artest) while Jordan was matched with fellow NBA players. “They were like, ‘Yeah, we can beat these dudes.’ It was like a real street game. Then at the end we won. I turned all the way up. It was cool. Ever since then we been friends,” P said.

The state despises this town.

Honestly, the state (especially the eastern portion) doesn't occupy themselves with the city of Louisville enough to hate it. Louisville folks look down upon (or at least are ashamed/embarrassed by) the rural portion more than the rest of the state even cares about what goes on in Jefferson County.

Actually could be a good opportunity to jump in when it appears their are no promising young dems. Not that the Barr seat would work but it gets his name and platform out there.

Also UCLA solo for me during a work trip. Those tickets I'm sure will be a little more tough.

Well, as someone once told me, that's the great thing about this country, you're free to waste your money however you see fit.

Has he even said what his platform is? All we know is he's a democrat that loves Bernie Sanders.

That's not accurate at all. I think Louisville embraces the state and it's traditions in many ways. But lets be honest, there are some areas and backwards ways that are hard to defend and gives the entire state a negative connotation.

It seems obvious to me that Matt was just waiting to see how Election night turned out, and with these results I don't see how he runs. If he choses to then more power to him.

In all seriousness, I think Conway refusing to pick between UK and UL on KSR was the beginning of the end of his chances. Made him look like a huge ***** in front of a huge audience. That whole debate may have killed him, really. He was awful.

I think the "Louisville" politician thing is a myth. Isn't McConnell a Louisville politician. I think Conway is a ****** campaigner. I couldn't tell you one thing he ran on, all I saw from his commercials was that Bevin was a liar. His campaign against Paul, all I can remember is the "Aqua Buddha" nonsense.

Honestly, most Louisville people don't even think about the rural areas enough to hate them. I couldn't have told you where Pikeville was on a map when I was told my roommate at UK was from Pikeville.

Only political donation I've ever made was to Andy. Dont plan on making anymore anytime soon. It was mostly because he bought me a drink after the UCONN game in NYC.

This is a referendum on people who look like they just smelled a fart imo. Tough go of it moving forward, you know who you are.
